Naruto and Hinata. A love story written in the stars. Honestly, some people didn’t like it, because it just sort of came out of left field. Now, it’s not that we didn’t know that Hinata loved Naruto. We knew for a long time that she did. But Naruto barely seemed to acknowledge it. In fact, he didn’t even know that she loved him until the Last Movie. And suddenly he reciprocates. And while we have been pulling for Hinata for so long, we all sort of expected Sakura due to how much it was built up. Still, I prefer Naruto’s romance with Hinata. I never liked Sakura, and it still is a good plot device to have the hero lose every now and again. I do wish that they had built this up for a little longer though. And so, how much earlier could it be than the beginning? Lets just click and drag Sakura into our virtual recycling bin and paste Hinata in there just to see what happens. Beyond offering a more satisfying end to their courtship, it also provides us with a good enough excuse to shake things up a little bit and give Hinata a chance to shine. So let’s see what happens if we throw Hinata into the mix, and let her switch places with Sakura.

I think Hinata being there to help seal Kaguya is more fitting. Naruto is an Uzumaki, who come from the Senju, Sasuke is an Uchiha, and Hinata is a Hyuga. All those clans are the closest relatives to the Otsusuki

Yep, especially since team Kurenai is likely the correct answer for Sakura so she has a sensei that can teach her genjutsu and she'd get to experience a health skilled ninja relationship.
Though honestly when you think about it you realize how bad of a team of genin for her skills Kurenai got. Hinata, was already physically skilled, and lacked the confidence for forcing her mental will onto other's chakra networks for genjutsu. They gave her Kiba, who is too straight ahead thinking to master genjutsu, when Kakashi is the one with ninja dog summons. Then they finished her off with another clan special technique who doesn't really need genjutsu since his bugs are already a distraction art.
This works out for sakura too. Kakashi has said multiple times that because of her insane chakra control she can be proficient in genjutsu and who's hinata sensei.....its a genjutus specialist. Kurenai will train sakura and she will have medical ninjutsu and good genjutsu.
Have you watched the Video??? The causalities of the War practically Skyrocketed and the entire Medical squad was kill by Zetsu cuz Sakura was not there. And Kankuro died aswell. Nope this would have been a catastrophe

But most likely Sakura would be stronger lol, cause she would have mastered Genjustu and still go to Lady Tsunade and get trained. Kishimoto loves making women healers, so he would definitely write it anyway.
I think it makes it more interesting plot-wise that Hinata joins team 7. Think of it, while Ino and Sakura are fighting to join Sasuke, Hinata is put on the team instead. It also makes it more interesting that Hinata actually doesn’t care much about Sasuke and instead prefers Naruto. Making the bond a lot stronger and make more sense.

Hinata not being able to destroy the third Kazekage puppet would be GG for her. I am sorry but, for the most part, you hardly made the story any different by putting Hinata on the team instead of Sakura.... and I honestly don't think the story would remotely be the same. Like for example Sakura might actually be trained in Genjutsu if she is on Team 8 because that is Kurenai's specialty, and Sakura supposedly would excel at it (which means she would not become a medical Nin and Naruto would die during the war, because she would not be there to save him. Don't forget that Sakura's motivation for going to Tsunade was to be as strong as both Naruto and Sasuke, if she is not on their team... this would not happen). Also, how would Sakura know Sasuke wants to leave the village without being there at the hospital and witnessing Naruto and Sasuke's fight.... like..... there are so many things that would change...

Sakura could very well go to Tsunade, that was the reason for the story but in a rewrite you can easily say something else. And kishimoto loves writing women as healers, so even if it was a real re-write by him. He would defintely give a reason to make Sakura go to Tsunade, now the question is would he care enough to write her, it’s a 50/50 😂😂😂

As much as I love Naruto as it is, I would have liked it more if Hinata was a main character in Team 7. I believe Naruto, Sasuke, and Hinata would have an interesting dynamic, and Hinata would do more than Sakura.

I can see Hinata being the Main female character but I just couldn't imagine her being in Team 7.... her and Sasuke never even talk to each other plus I'm not sure that the team would be balance since they already have 2 doujutsu users, I also don't think it would change that much except Hinata get to spend more time with Naruto than Sakura and they don't have a Healer (she's better as a fighter than a Medic and also that ep when she was healing someone was a filler)

It would've been great if you gave all of sakura's screentime to Hinata, she could've been so much better, cause most people don't care about Sakura's love life, they don't even care much about her fights, if it was hinata instead she'd at least have that build-up to trying to become less shy and more powerful in order to stand close to the one she loves, and having hinata being the main heroine would've also made Byakugan relevant again, make her surpass Neji and learn secret Main family techniques that allow her to be at the very least as strong as tsunade.

I really like this what-if scenario. It just seems to fit so much better because it gives Team 7 a lot more of a balance where everyone plays off each other, and it gives Hinata a lot more relevance and active character development, especially with the Kakashi scenario putting her as leader to bring her out of her shell knowing Sasuke and Naruto would be a test for her due to their opposite, impulsive personalities. I also like how it makes Kakashi seem like a better teacher for picking up on how to manage their team due to this and her weakness.
It would also connect with her father saying she was oo gentle and docile to lead their claim, so if she had to lead team 7, it would It gradually make more sense for why she would admire Naruto because she would actually see his willpower and see him all his fights and she would be in all of them to grow herself behind him. Her Byakugan would also be a lot more useful for the characters like in the Mist fight and Forrest of death. I just like Hinata being the smartest in the group because of her clan training. Then Sasuke going off on his own, and Naruto marrying Hinata would have had its build up. Then she would become where she was in the Pain arc, protecting Naruto herself, it would have definitely made her so much of a better female protagonist if she was leading Team 7. I'm taken back by how much of this just works.. *better* for her the story, her character, Naruto and her relationship with Naruto.

It was never a heartache. Sakura didn't like him, but he didn't like her either. Sure she had a crush on her, but it was mostly cause he wanted to annoy Sasuke by someday stealing his girl (like Sasuke ever gave a sh*t lol).
This was in fact confirmed in the last Naruto movie.
Plus, Naruto still wouldn't notice that Hinata likes him. It would be pointless anyway..

I like a lot of the changes you made. It really feels like Hinata would have been a better choice than Sakura.
There were a couple things though that I didn’t think fit well in this rewrite. Like I’m not sure Rock Lee would have come to Hinata’s rescue because he didn’t like her the way he liked Sakura. The whole situation had less meaning in this rewrite too, as Rock Lee had went all out trying to protect Sakura, Sakura had cut her hair to symbolize becoming more serious, and Sasuke woke up in his demonic state… all that was gone.
Something else meaningful should have happened. Like Hinata declaring she wants to change in a similar way that Sakura did. Which would fit well in the following matches where she fights Neji and he tells her she can’t change.
Speaking of which, the other main thing that didn’t fit as well to me was Hinata’s match with Ino. We could have just kept it Hinata vs Neji. Changing it, we lose those big character development moments of her and Neji. Her revealing that never giving up is her ninja way, and Neji first showing his resentment in being stifled, which leads into his character development during his and Naruto’s match in the later competition.
My thoughts too, especially the Neji-hinata fight

I hardly doubt the chunin exam administrators would have left Hinata seated next to Naruto, it would be better if Hinata and Sasuke tried to give Naruto the answers, but he's too stupid to understand, and it's still the same result. but his team will at least try to cooperate.
The seating was random. In that exam, they numbered the seats and had the Genin draw numbers on where to sit…
Sakura and Ino would've had a more decent rivalry towards Sasuke with neither of them being on a team with him. There's also a chance Sasuke Would have married either one of them. I honestly don't think Sakura Would want Sasuke back as badly After him leaving the village. And the reason why she wanted him so badly back in the original timeline was because she was on a team with him thus she's grown more attached to him. Funny thing is common during that time I forgot how Ino felt About Sasuke leaving the village At that time

so even if sakura retained those feelings until her teenage years, she would have much harder time trying to make him fall in love with her as it would take longer cause sasuke is like a kuudere when he is not out on revenge xD
or they just fall in love during their adult years meeting as complete stranger who were in the class in their childhood years... plus any girl would be better than karin in sasuke's eyes (too clingy and horny)

@@dustinjohnson9258 I'd argue Sakura and Karin are still the lead options, given you'd have Sakura stronger, and less dependent on Sasuke for validation being trained by Kurenai and actually learning some Genjutsu. Ino also has the core problem that Sasuke can't complete his secondary life goal of restoring the Uchiha by marrying another future clan head.

The problem was Kakashi was a terrible teacher for Sakura, as she was somebody who learned in a more traditional fashion, and didn't have a clan to support her training even if just through family scrolls. Thus the irony is both Sakura and Hinata are likely better versions of themselves if they swapped teams, since Hinata's issues were never a skill issue, and Sakura would have a useful teacher for her proficiencies. Not to mention it lets Sakura gain more of a backbone about Sasuke from not constantly being around him as a genin.

Hinata cannot train with Tsunade. Unlike Sakura, Hinata has a very low determination to reach her max potential and Tsunade has no experience in training a Byakugan user. Although Hinata can use basic medical jutsu, her Byagukan training should be more prioritized

Honestly, they should've either started from either the Chunin Exam due to the Hyuga drama nand the blood vow he picked with Neji, or after the fight with Pain... when she confessed and all but literally died for him.
Honestly there was just so much natural chemistry and ship tease with Hinata in those few instances than Sakura had through the entire series. Even Kishimoto understood he fucked there.
My only doubt in this what if: could hinata keep healing obito long enough to allow Sasuke to return to the right dimension. I doubt she could do so, leaving Sasuke stranded in the Kaguya fight
Honestly they never really explored the other ways the Byakugon let Hyuga manipulate a body's chakra network so hard to say.
You mentioned Shino in the sasuke retrieval but forgot to throw him in a fight, I think maybe he’d help kiba, and hinata can help Neji for some development in their bond

Only a few problems here. They would not put the only 2 visual jutsu users on the same team. Hinata did not have use of the 8 trigrams or the rotation technics until after the Saske left. Even with Kakashi accelerating her growth you would have her using it during the bridge arc.
I feel like during tje forest of death you missed a her getting flustered moment.
Also I still would have kept the Kyubi Chakra awakening during the bridge.
Oh and Hinata should still fight Neji just to establish him and Naruto as rivals still.
After Pain attacked the village there was a GOLDEN opportunity to create this pairing properly. But NOPE lol
My childhood was centered around Naruto. I bought the hard copies when they released in America until I had the entire collection. I was allowed to go and get the next book when I got good grades on a test or report card. I took a break from anime/manga for a few years and ended up coming back out of interest in titles like demon slayer & Jujutsu Kaisen and stayed for chainsaw man & hell’s paradise.
As an adult I’ve always said that the squad dynamics would’ve been so much more fascinating if there were 4 genin per jonin, and possibly even an “assistant” captain Chunin or young jonin. Lee or Hinata or an entirely new character being apart of squad 7 would’ve been really cool to see.
It would’ve made the team better honestly. It would allow for more character development and relevance on Hinata. And the relationship between Naruto and Hinata could improve drastically.

I'm kinda cheesed that you took out Naruto using Kurama's chakra for the first time. But this makes sense as 8 Trigrams Rotation is an absolute defense move but you could've atleast kept that moment in. Plus Hinata could see Naruto go into Kyubi influence state.

true, instead have the ino vs hinata fight earlier than the neji vs hinata fight, that way hinata would look even better cause she managed to keep up with neji despite her other injuries and exhaustion... god that resolve and determination.
Well the reasoning was acceptable that Hinata pushed herself so far to defeat the attackers in the woods, which in the Prime Timeline required curse mark Sasuke, that she wasn't able to fight well in the preliminaries.

Hinata would be able to see and sever chakra strings on the puppets and that would be pretty useful in the fight.
bro no hate but this story is so bad because and the forest of death hinata and sasuke would’ve died because Lee didn’t like hinata so he wouldn’t have came to save her and team 8 also wouldn’t have came because they didn’t care about hinata and I don’t think sasuke could get into his curse mark stage on time so it’s basically it’s like what if sasuke and hinata died and hinata was on team 7 instead of Sakura and Naruto would’ve died to because on missions sasuke saved him a lot of times so yeah
My idea was more to swap them but keep Sakura as a main character I feel it would've been difficult but possible have Sakuras crush for sasuke keep them in contact and while that she trains under kurenai this keeps Kiba and Shino 2 characters who disappear after a while in check and a great way to improve the 4 forgotten characters, have Hinata gain more skill as time goes by and have sakura become a great genjutsu user have moments like in the forest when naruto, hinata and sasuke are in trouble Sakura jumps down and uses genjutsu to wear the sound Ninja off giving Kiba and shino the chance to over power them have her use her intelligence against shino put her under a genjutsu just before ino takes control of her mind, leaving Sakura the winner and then have her train with Tsunade and Kurenai.
That's just how it improves sakura having Hinata there would give her more personality and a bigger underdog story than anyone. Go from almost dying to Neji to being able to do techniques only main branch members can do that not even Neji can figure out, have her become a prominent political figures and show the more intense side of things from that point of view I'm not looking for her to be stronger thank Naruto, Sasuke or even Sakura for rhat matter I more want her to be more interesting because I don't think battle is for her and I wouldn't write her as such I would write her in more of a political aspect, have her almost retire from work as a Ninja (not stop training, but become more of a one on one fighter still giving her moments in the pain/ war arc and keeping some political moments for the Kage summit arc and maybe another arc that show deserved before fucking boruto.

Hinata-New crazy tenketsu form maybe something that allows her to push her tenketsu points enough to create a shield around her body that she doesn't need to rotate to get the true use out of it, and also head of the Hyuga clan
Shino-Anbu training (they literally almost set this up but didn't they instead wrote a completely new character for it when it couldve easily been him)
Kiba- show cool dog forms have him have a wolf contract being able to use insane agility and use the senses like crazy have him be different

I don’t think Hinata and Naruto is as “out of the blue” as people think. The issue isn’t that naruto didn’t love hinata , naruto kinda learned love on his own so he never learned to differentiate the different kinds of love. You see how he treats her vs all the people who flock to him.

I always thought it would have made a better dynamic to have Hinata on team 7 instead of Sakura. Naruto never knew what it was like to have a loving family, Sasuke did but lost them at an early age, and Hinata still had her family but they showed no love or respect to her. All of them have trauma related to family just in different ways. So I feel that the found family trope would have worked out nicely in this scenario.

Also, Sakura has done a lot of progress throughout the anime compared to other kunoichis. She was able to defeat Sasori, heal alot if ninjas in the war, saved Narutos life, managed to save Sasuke from another dimension helping Obito by giving him her chakra, the 100heal jutsu, the summoning of Lady Katsuyi (sorry if the names misspelled) and more i cannot remember now. But most of all, ready to kill Sasuke - the love of her life - for the sake of all, even if she couldnt in the end. Her pure love for Sasuke was from the very begging till the end.
Sakura is unlikeable. Sakura appeals to people that are also unlikeable IRL

Sakura was only able to do more than the other kunoichi because Kishimoto sidelined all the side characters. This would be like saying Vegeta made more progress than Tien. You're right, but it was only because Toriyama sidelined everyone who wasn't Goku or Vegeta

I think Sasuke would consider staying in the village cause I could see a scenario where Hinata tries to convince him to stay by comparing her life to his,how neji was in the darkness just like him,and the fact that they were both considered inferior to a member in their family by their own father
If Hinata has to reach Sakura power standards,
Since Sharingan and Byakugan are considered an equal Dojutsu because most of the otsusukis have Byakugan.
she should have learned the secrets of byakugan from her father and developed her byakugan into a tensaigan.

The original team 7 is better. The Sakura that all of you are trashing around is the one who saved Narutos life in the 4th great ninja war. Beside, Naruto becomes stronger because Sakura have eyes only for Sasuke. It is kinda basic of a story, at least at the very begging. This is why Naruto anime is super nice to watch. Also, they should write Sakura and Hinata better. They wrote them pretty sh..y and fir this alot of people just hate on them. Why would anyone hate on a fictional character is beyond me, whatever. Sakura is meant for Sasuke and Hinata for Naruto but would be alot better if they wrote their stories more detailed.
