I'm happy to see Matt Damon and Marc Wahlberg living as two different people
Lol when i was a kid, i used to think that they were the same person
@@norton4692 😂 at one point everybody in their lives thought they were the same person least to say they somehow related??👀
Wait, they aren’t the same person?

MARK WAHLBERG, MATT DAMON, TOM BRADY AND SOMETIMES JOHN CENA !! 😂😂😂😂😂
Imagine Matt and Mark on one side rooting for the Celtics and Jack and Leo on the other side rooting for the Lakers. It would be a Departed reunion
It will be the real multiverse. 😂😂😂😂
As a Celtic fan, how much I wish there was a scene in The Departed where Jack's character was sitting courtside at the Garden rooting PASSIONATELY for the Celtics
You just blew my mind. You're so right. LOL.
Didn't end well for some of those guys in the movie, though
Great movie. Loved Damon getting killed by Wahlberg in it!
This is the best kind of story. Everyone is painted in their best light. Phil's desire to win, Matt and Mark as super fans and Kobe as a bad-ass.
Paul Pierce?
@Donovan Chiazzese I suspect this story is a little different when he tells it in private hah
Never really cared for Kobe (sun's fan) his fans are douche bags but this is an awesome story about the man RIP
@@zandertor6813 so incredibly sad.
@@zandertor6813 sure you don’t care for Kobe. Mamba ended your Suns in 2010 and they still can’t recover a decade later 🤣 they were so close 😢
Damon seems like a great sports fan. Cheering for the Celtics but continuously acknowledging his respect for Kobe and Jackson.
See you in 4 years when this gets recommended to us again.

Oh man, we've all been there. That's how I felt about the Pacers in the 90's. Denied by the Knicks. Denied by the Bulls. We never even got to the Finals. A lot of Eastern conference teams never did because of the freaking Bulls.

Omar Reid um a lot? You’re acting like it’s some obscure indie film.
Matt Damon is the only man I will let remind me of that 2008 pain as a Lakers fan
That’s why the NBA is so awesome, they’re that close to the players and able to interact with them. This was fun, nothing personal just competitive people
Donald Chavis o know Matt Damon can be Woke sometimes but seriously how can I hate this guy so classy and fun to be around.
That’s about all that’s awesome about it. The league is a circus. Money pushing elites brainwashed these players to play for excitement. It’s part of it but now it’s an obligation. No heart, no loyalty. Dam shame.....🤦🏽♂️
You still watch though, right?

As nice and calm of a guy Phil is in interviews and discussions. He was not a calm basketball player he would give 110 percent he was scrappy he would hit guys with elbows constantly. Just a wild man on the court was pretty funny seeing him so calm as a head coach.

This story was exactly how I'd imagined it would be, and that's great.
Marks reaction looked like, "Make me sit down old man!"
I was in Navy bootcamp during the 2008 Finals. Before shipping out I only got to see game 1 of the playoffs Spurs vs Suns. I was so happy to get the news of the Lakers' defeat. 2010 though, Kobe went full Mamba mode and I enjoyed all 7 games of the Lakers - Celtics rematch. RIP Black Mamba
Even though Matt saw Phil and Kobe aggressive, he’s smart enough to know this was their job and passion. Matt and Mark respect the Lakers organization immensely and completely understand the rivalry and the emotion. Phil is one of the greatest coaches ever, and Kobe is a Los Angeles icon transcending even basketball. He is the King of Los Angeles. We miss him to a point that words can’t express. 🤍💙❤️

Nah. The team made that possible, not his zen thing.
huntrrr gatherrr the zen thing was a part of his coaching. Shaq even talks about it in an interview. Carl Sims solid, you would’ve let us watch it. We were setting of the fire alarms so we came to a peace agreement that we won’t do that all night and they agreed and turned the game on. The guards need to check the cell every time it goes off so it causes a lot more work lol 😂 coffee creamer in the air vent and hit with a pillow... works like a charm haha
It's easy to be "zenful" when you have Jordan, Pippen, Shaq, and Kobe.
Shush
Thank you! His Zen qualities are taking a hit in New York without those guys!
No, Antony because you don't realize that Phil won the CBA title in 1984 (CBA was a poorer version of today's D League). He has won w/ no names and with big names. No one wins 10 by luck. Yes, Jordan and Shaq/Kobe helped a great deal, but he also won 2 with the post Shaq teams. He left the team in 04 and came back in 05/6 and started all over with Kobe and he eventually got a subsuperstar in Pau Gasol out of thin air (for Kwame, lucked into it). He didn't have superteams his entire career. He's the kind of coach who is specifically!....specifically there to get a good team over the top. Think of this year's Clips or Bucks. They only wish they had a Phil.
@@hubster4477 He's in the FO tho. Not everyone can do both. That was Red Auerbach's claim for being better than Phil because he was a good GM. Well, that has nothing to do with one's coaching. They're two different jobs entirely.
@@nonplayerzealot4 also has nothing to do with not having great players around too! Funny how that's a coincidence.
