- The Chanel graffiti mini reissue, from the last Karl Lagerfeld collection, the Egyptian metier d'art collection - wow this bag got a strong response when I talked about selling it! I discussed possibly letting this bag go in my decluttering my bags video, and a lot of you were strongly against it, could not understand why I would even consider selling it! Then @livingluxwithmeredith unboxed this bag on her channel after I sold it to her, and I got a lot of messages from you guys aghast that I had let it go! In this video I talk through with you why I decided to sell this bag and let it go from my collection, what I bought to replace it, and also why I have not bought any handbags in 5 months! That is quite a gap for me, no new bags in 5 months, let me share with you why.

I don't have a luxury collection, but I do have a lot of high street bags, and I can relate to feeling overwhelmed and not using or loving certain ones enough. I have recently parted with several that I just wasn't using and wasn't drawn to anymore, and I'm enjoying what I have a lot more.
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the *condup* as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

I have a handbag diary. So I write down the day and the bag being used. Recording when I change my bag with the date and bag change. So I can look back and see which bags get more use of and which bags I need to bring out to use again.
Keeping track is really helping me use more
I’ve started being better about putting away my bags at the end of the day so I have to pull a bag to use each time. It has made me rotate around more by consciously picking. It’s also made me more satisfied in my collection and shown me where gaps do and don’t exist. I know I need a WOC and I also would love a non-LV chocolate bag but otherwise I’m feeling very settled.

It just makes a lot of sense! Why keeping something that you don’t really like anymore? I totally understand the feeling of being overwhelmed! I would never get to a point where I own 100 bags, not even close to it actually because of that feeling. We all have a point where it feels like too much. I’m good where I am now but I don’t see myself adding and adding. I reached a point where the bag needs to be either super functional for me or so special that I just can’t pass on it. These situations happen less now having a bigger collection. I admire from afar and I might sell some bags in the future, who knows. It just to say that we can change our mind as we evolve.

unless you're trying to create an archive, you don't need to hold onto bags you're not using. People fall in and out of love bags. The first designer bag i ever wanted to buy (never bought) i have no desire to buy now. If i had bought it, I might have sold it at this point.

I understand the overwhelming feel of having too much. I think your totally practice intentional buying. (all my favorites do, Autumn, Dayle, Connor, Caleb and Nick). It makes your channel interesting and relatable. You have very creative content without relying on mindless buying and endless un-boxings. I think the LA collection Chanel is much better than the graffiti version. It's different enough from the sequined lady Dior. You are your own person.

I can totally relate! I haven't been buying as many bags this year and am thinking to downsize just a little more...Even though I liked all my bags, there are some that I am not as obsessed with anymore, and they are so expensive... it seems like a bit of a waste! A part of me also wants to buy a few more dream bags...so downsizing a little, may not be a bad idea! Sometimes you just know when it's time to say- out with the old, in with the new!

To be contrarian, I have to say the Graffiti bag is hideous. There is nothing authentic about it, certainly not the gold paint which is so non-graffiti in combination with the double Cs, and the lettering, too regular not authentic. It's a high end take on graffiti and to me that's cringeworthy.
It's only to be exceeded by the Chanel Franken-monster one that Dayle had with the crazy stitching. It's a case of good riddance IMO.
It looked like an abandoned craft project that had been suddenly repurposed. As I said to Dayle it only should come out on Halloween.
Sorry Meredith but I'm perfectly sure you still love it and enjoy it. Just not for me.

I love replicas because I really just want the look and not the price tag. But when I wore them, it wasn't worth the money to me, and after a year I stopped wearing them *preluxs* .
