    Keith David voiced the cat and his voice is perfect for the role. Such innovative animation in this movie. Henry Selick really is the mastermind of this genre while Tim Burton gets the credit. He is really the guy who has put this animation on the map. Such a unique movie. Thanks for reacting!

    Coraline, Nightmare before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach were all directed by Henry Selick. Tim Burton produced NMBC and it was his creative vision but I _think_ the actual onset directing was done by Henry Selick. So your initial instincts were right.

    @Byrvurra Год назад +26

    It's not directed by Tim Burton but it is directed by the guy who directed The Nightmare Before Christmas, Henry Selick which is probably why it has a similar feel (He also directed James and The Giant Peach btw).

      I hope you do know and realize that nightmare before Christmas was not only directed by that guy but Tim Burton also nightmare before Christmas had Tim Burton involved no shade to you or the other directors but as a tim burton fan when it comes to nightmare before Christmas you can't count him out

      @@KaylanaSutherlandTim Burton wasn't really involved with The Nightmare Before Christmas. He was in the UK making Batman Returns while most of it was being made and visited the set only 3 times during the production. He also hated Danny Elfman's songs, and they had a short falling out for a bit because of it.

    This movie was based on the book, “Coraline”, by Neil Gaiman. The book is even a little darker. Neil Gaiman, if you are not familiar with him, has written a ton of books that have been made into other media. They’re all a little creepy but really great. He wrote American Gods, for example, though the series they made from that is horrible. Definitely check out Neil Gaiman.

    The tools in the beginning are enbalming tools used to prepare dead bodies. Oh and the reason everyone calls her Caroline is because that was originally her name and i think the author or his daughter called her (the main character) Coraline by accident and it became a little joke.
    I have a lot more facts on this film if there are questions by i highly recommend looking up creators on the theories of this film they go way more in depth.

    Yeah this movie is a modern classic and one of the few movies better than the book (although the book was very good) also Wybie wasn't even in the book he was created because they couldn't have Coraline talking too herself the whole time in the movie ( like she did in the book)

    YES PLEASE DO KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS by the same production! The stop motion is beyond unnoticeable bc its so fluid and the storytelling is so epic especially its villains and battles

    No Coraline video game, but check out Psychonauts 1 and Psychonauts 2. Crazy artstyle, a lot like here. The first game is old but gold, whereas the second game came out quite recently (couple years ago!).
    Absolute bangers!

    I’m really glad you love this movie. This is one of my favorite movie all times. Interesting fact about this movie is it was film in entirely stop-motion and photographed in Stereoscopic 3D.
    It’s definitely not for kids. okay one more question and I'll leave you alone do you think you would survive this universe?

    I love that you did this movie. One of my spouses favorites. It's a wonder of a film and it's incredible how much effort went into making it. You should treat yourself and look at BTS of it being produced.
    Also please watch Hero with Jet Li or Thirst with Song Kang Ho
