The most shocking and heartbreaking episode of tv since The Red Wedding in Game Of Thrones for me. When Magneto not only tried to comfort Leech but did so in his native language, knife to the heart. Then they twist the knife with the last line “I can’t feel you”!😭😭😭😭😭
And then in episode 7 when Nightcrawler told Rogue she didn’t cause Magneto or Gambit to die but caused them to live, that made me cry.
The writing for this show is just too damn good. It’s like how I felt like with Andor as a Star Wars fan, like it was almost too good to be true.
This is officially the best Marvel the show ever made!

😭 i stand by this statement I've said previously. If gambit wasn't there everybody would've died. Gambit trained his body and his powers. Which is why he was able to succeed (Him and logan be in the danger room together on the highest setting possible which is passcode protected) rogue/magneto only trained powers. Why they could only get so far the brute strength route. Rogue would've/should've died if gambit didnt interfere.
All honesty magneto could've done so many other options, turned the rail car into a saw, compressed it spun it and fired it off like a rail gun, these are all what ifs bc we are outside looking in, heat of the moment heads not always clear or thinking and every second literally counts when ppl are dying immediately.

    • @mariahbell2302
      @mariahbell2302 12 дней назад

The writers obviously wanted to use the three of them and both Magneto and Gambit have their great moments and then die/seem to die. Let Magneto do anything he would have normally done in those circumstances, and there would have been no chance for Gambit to show his powers, no need to risk his life. Like with the asteroid, Magneto wakes up, and the catastrophe is averted. It's logical, but they'd have been forced to tinvent something else for Gambit to die. It'd have been so much better, imo, and have shown Bastion as a supervillain who had a few aces up his sleeve. But it is impresive the way it is, especially when you watch for the first time. And I'm not sure no one but Gambit could save them. They are all mutants, perhaps, someone else could save them. It just happened the way it did.

The original series did have some deeper moments at times, but it wasn't quite at this level because they could only do so much. Network censors would/could only allow so much, particularly since it was aimed at children. Now it's on a streamer, so there's more freedom, and they know that most of the audience for this will be people who grew up with that one and are therefore grown now. So while it's not going full-on Deadpool level, they can push it a bit more with the themes and occasional blood and death.

@DosCavazos , in the 90s, there was another smaller comic publisher, Caliente comics. Their version of the Xmen was a comic called Harbinger. As in, the next stage of human evolution were the 'mutants, or special powered beings.
I think it was #25, when one of the heroes, a sound character held his dead friend who had picked a fight with a much stronger 'omega' level powered being, said the same thing as Rogue.
    Something along the line of:
'"I'm sorry I never bothered to listen to your heart. I could have been able to find you if I had bothered to learn your heartbeat."
Just a super emotionally charged story. Seems like Marvel took a little inspiration from that story here.

As far as I know, Rogue and Magneto even had a relationship in the comics.
Additionally, Magneto is biologically much younger. In The Defenders, Magneto was transformed into a baby. Alien spy Eric the Red later reversed this transformation. Magneto returned not to old age, but to his physical prime. So, although chronologically he is about 60, biologically he is about 20-30 years old.
This completely explains the fact that Magneto has the body of a young athlete.
If anything, I’m not rooting for anyone, I’m just explaining what happens in the series.

It tremendously amplify the powers you already have. It always grants some level of reality warping powers (depending on how attuned you're to the Phoenix), so mater and energy manipulation, increased strength and durability, pyrokinesis (obviously), space and time manipulation/transportation, healing, resurrection... yada yada.
It's basically a Nigh Omnipotent power.

The writing is so good and not just the dialogue. We saw a survivor of the holocaust fight a genocidal robot using a train as a weapon.

You know how Kacee has said Anthony is always saying random lines, from movies and stuff; I can totally see him using the " like telling Gambit the dang truth! " for example : " so yeah, it's OUR channel but theres certain things he can't do, and things that I can't do" Anthony : " like telling Gambit the dang truth!! " 😝🙃 LOL

His mutation means most of his soft tissues are compromised of a translucent bio-paraffin. Aside from a resistance to blasts and physical impacts, the only other thing he has from this is a vulnerability to fire (with a nickname of the Inhuman Torch). He has been a narrative punching bag for most of his existence.

Considering he remembers the Holocaust, that would put him in around the late 80s or early 90s age range at this point (1933 - 1945). Depending on how old he's meant to be when it happened. It's an unfortunate side effect of comic book characters having actual historic events in their backstories now that these characters have been around so long.
Not every character has the convenient plot point of being frozen in ice like Captain America to explain away a time lapse of several decades. Though even MCU Cap's story had to be changed some due to the passage of time. In the comic books, Nick Fury fought in WW2 with his "Howling Commandos". We even saw some of those commandos in the first Captain America movie. Imagine if Samuel L. had been an old war buddy reunited with Cap after several decades. If not for the the fact that WW2 ended almost 80 years ago now, one of the guys on that train mission in The First Avenger could have been a young Nick Fury.

@@zacharydarku3540 As far as I know, they even had a relationship in the comics.
Also, Magneto is biologically much younger. In the issue of The Defenders, Magneto was turned into a baby. Later, the alien spy Eric Krasny canceled this transformation. Magneto returned not to his old age, but to his physical prime. So, despite the fact that chronologically he is about 60, biologically he is about 20-30 years old.
This fully explains the fact that Magneto has the body of a young athlete.

At 26:46, yall talk about how people hate mutants but not the Avengers or Hulk. It should be noted that in the comics, people do hate the Hulk. Since he's always going around smashing things. And The Avengers have ties to the government. Like they have their own liason any publicist (I think), so they're looked at more favorably. Plus most people in the marvel universe (atleast I think) are aware of the super soldier serum, so most know Caps a superhuman and not a mutant.

The Phoenix Force works similar to the Speed Force for The Flash. The Speed Force was there long before Barry Allen just as the Phoenix Force was there long before Jean Grey. She has the ability to tap into it to enhance her abilities when truly needed. But it should only be used sparingly.

The writing from this show is very different than it was in the 90's. The 90's show still had a lot of the interpersonal drama but it was basically your standard Saturday morning cartoons. The writing wasn't as refined, mature, or quite as dramatic as it is in this show. They never had anything like episode 5 in the old show.

This show is now, for me, the second-best project in the MCU behind Daredevil. It's so respectful to the characters; just like with the DD show, you can tell the people behind it love the characters, and it shows with their portrayal and writing. And the source material is so accurate; with all the storylines they are doing and going to do for S2, the MCU should take note, but of course they won't. The people behind this wanted to work on the upcoming X-Men film, but of course they didn't hired these showrunners, directors, and writers; why would they? It's not like they have the perfect crew, right?
The animation is great, especially in the action scenes; the dialogue is insane; every single episode has so many amazing dialogues; the voice acting is great, etc. I thought the more "filler" and "worse" episode was episode 4, but other than that, the show is almost perfect, an easy 9/10 for me.

I think the bad guy in question, Bastion, was not around when the original cartoon was on. In the comics he is a fusion of Nimrod and Mastermold converted into a human (because of reasons), but his origin is slightly different in this cartoon. Think of sentinel software running on human hardware.
