I just received my Kickstarter pack and purchased mostly season 1 with one Season 2. Miserably failed the Hans scenario, but the game is still very fun! It's hard to remember all the little details, but that will come with playthroughs. Thanks for the playthrough! Tension right up to the end!
I know it's been a few months since you made this video, but I wanted to thank you as I have just purchased this and made the exact same errors in my game play. It was my first time, so seeing others making similar mistakes is a relief. Great game, and I had a similar ending to mine, lol. Good luck!
Wow, what a finish! One error, when you’ve turn over the last terror card, the killer’s Finale Card gets turned over in the Upkeep Phase for that turn. You turned it over a turn late. Also, and it’s something I see payed incorrectly in other playthroughs, if the killer’s dark power has not been turned over at the time the Finale Card is triggered, it also gets turned over.
Thanks for watching and pointing that out, I missed that in the video and noticed it a little late. Thanks for the note on the dark power as well I can see how this can be missed.
For anyone looking to make their games look even better NECA Whizkids makes a Freddy vs Jason miniature game that uses pre-painted figures and comes with 6 total 3 for Jason and 3 for Freddy that are perfect size for FinalGirl and it's only about $14 on amazon. They also make a gremlins set but that ones harder to find so its gonna cost more. The game even comes with these dead body tokens that I use anytime Hans kills someone in a space I place 1 then if a victim panics and moves into that space they panic again coming across that dead body. For the Freddy miniatures in the set I switch out the regular miniature for the Freddy that looks like A giant snake anytime I enter the boiler room for more of a dream state feel.
I also think that the fireworks have to actually be placed in your area to distract the killer from attacking you, but thematically maybe it means you light off the fireworks into the air and cause he's far away he goes to the location he thinks it went off at. I guess you could play it either way.
I could be wrong but the way I understand the panic phase is they panic when you kill someone in their space not when the killer just moves in. So thematically they don't immediately see the killer and run the killer has to find them first cause even though the actual location board is small in real life it would be a much larger area.
Thanks for the video. I love all your play through videos. Don’t stress about little mistakes. I’m experienced as with many different games I have and still make mistakes. Having to remember every rule in a game that’s quite involved isn’t easy. So I really appreciate the great work you put out in doing these great videos. Can I ask one question please because I’m very new to this wonderful solo game, how did you get the chance to roll 5 x dice at the very end whilst fighting Hanns? I have looked through the rule book and can’t see how to get 5 dice in hand. I played my first game last night with Laurie vs Hanns. Man this game at the end is so tense and very epic. I did a lot of reading about tactics and strategies that other people shared online so it could prepare me for the game. One thing someone said is to have a lot of Guard, retaliation and hard hit action cards in your hand as soon as Hanns enters your space. I had 4 x health left on myself and Hanns had 4 x health left. If Hanns hit me which was double at 3x health per hit I would be dead instantly. I blocked all his attacks straight away and went all in attack and I rolled my three dice after my block and hit him with 3 success on my action plus 1 extra hit from Laurie special power and took Hanns out. My very first win in my first game 👍
54:23 Why does Hans attack you 3 times? The Finale card only indicates 2 attacks, right? EDIT: oh, I found why at 38:13, because of the dark power. Thanks for the video!
Good game and please don't take my comments in a negative way cause that's not my intent I'm just trying to get better at the game and maybe help other people along the way. Believe me I've made mistakes too, just recently when finally beating Hans for the first time I realized I placed all the terror cards out during setup so he never got his final power. But I'm still taking that as a win cause I already unlocked Laurie's "card" (trying to keep that card spoiler free) lol
No problem. I am happy to hear feedback and see where I might of made mistakes. Games can be complicated and in the heat of the moment mistakes can be made. Thanks for watching the video and giving your thoughts on it. I tried to address each point you made.
I'm having a blast with these games I only have 2 right now getting the poltergeist next cause I really only want the ones clearly based off of movies. Can't wait till season 2 to get that aliens one :)
Im pretty sure when The Damned is killed you add +2 bloodlust on top of the 1 bloodlust you get whenever a victim dies. I think you only took the two from Vengeance.
Does the axe actually give you 2 extra dice or does the card just mean you deal 2 extra damage? I think thematically it means damage instead of just having a better chance to hit him, that's how I perceive it anyway.
The axe gives you two extra damage. In the video I am rolling three dice because I am in green and than you get one extra die if the killer or your hero is down to 1 hit point. Sense we both were I got two extra dice that is why I am rolling 5 dice for that last attack.
Thanks for watching and for the question. This was one I was wondering as well, but I could not find a solid answer and my thought was because this is not listed as an attack I figured you could not use a weapon.
Hopefully your dice will be better in 2023. I am also looking forward to the new season and I think the aliens one will be the first one I try. Which one you are looking forward to the most? Thanks for watching;)
I think you actually died at 42:55 cause Hans moved into your space and you used the pepper spray but that wasn't in your hand it was in your backpack, you wouldn't have been able to switch hands till after the killer phase. I get it though it seams like there is a margin for error when playing these games cause there's so much going on at once. I heard someone suggest that the player should have a marker board too so you can keep track of your actions instead of just looking at the back of the rulebook, but maybe that would confuse people even more.
Painful to see the poor record keeping making you not move the horror marker properly and thus making you think you were one lower than you were. Keep the marker IN BETWEEN the hashes. Not ON them. Regardless, great video! Glad to see good gameplay of this game.

Hans is the red marker on the setup map and Laurie is the Yellow one! you place the wrong one.
Great watch 👍🏽

That's cool thanks for sharing;)
Great video, good work lowering the horror level. Makes a huge difference rolling three die!
Massive, thanks for watching and posting. I will have some new videos coming soon covering season 2.
@@LearntoPlayGames nice, looking forward to it. I've just bought S2 booster set myself so good timing!

With this card it does state you space or an adjacent space.

If the killer kills a victim during his phase and is in a space with victims than each victim in his space will panic.
You are correct
Question? Isn't the victim in make out point the farthest away from the killer when placing the Dammed?

Yep its 3 in total not 2
Hey so the character expansion replaces the character pieces that come wirh the game itself?

Hi. When you played retaliate at 54:03, couldn't you have used the axe on that?
Thanks for watching and for the question. This was one I was wondering as well, but I could not find a solid answer and my thought was because this is not listed as an attack I figured you could not use a weapon.
Yes , you can use the axe with the Retaliate card but not with the Guard cards.
I LOVE these games!!! I have yet to win a game and cannot wait for my Season 2 to get to me!!

@@LearntoPlayGames I will be playing "the thing" inspired mission first! Aliens will be the second one!

You are correct I could not use the pepper spray. I re-watched that part and should of added it to my other hand slot that was open.

A comedy of errors.
could you point out the errors please?

I am sorry you didn't like the video.
And yet you don’t point out any of the errors. Rude.
