Getting immortalised into a game is ridiculously cool, knowing that throughout future history there will be people playing with your character... that's incredible if you ask me.

I’m not gonna lie, watching you roll so badly was absolutely hilarious.
if you don't laugh, you'll cry. I understand.
NOTE: At 48:12 the targeting symbol that is resolving should be translated as: "The target is whomever is closest, Victim or Final Girl". In this case, just looking at the 2 victims in the top left and the Final Girl, both of those spaces are equal distances away, so now we have to check the tie breaker rules. Those rules state: "If there is a tie between who is closest, choose the group that has the most Victims present (the Final Girl is not a Victim)." So in this case, The Killer would have chosen to go after the easy prey (ie. The Victims), not our resilient Final Girl! Hans got one over on us this time!
I was yelling at the screen "Use the trash can lid! Use the trash can lid!" So just like a horror movie haha 10/10
Ha! That's the kind of realism Paula likes to bring to the play throughs :)
haha it was in my backpack so I couldn't use it without swapping out my bat... which I probably should have thought to do!
I really like how Paula wore a Jean jacket to match with her promo card! What an awesome play through! 😁
Did you notice her injuries increased as the game went on. Paula always brings the theme to the game play!

This video convinced me Id like the game. Today was the first time I got it to the table after season 2 delivered. It was amazing, and my Paula didn't survive Nightmare on Maple Street either time as her dice luck spread to card draw luck too! Still was a blast. Thanks Paula!

forgot to answer what my favourite horror movie is, American Werewolf in London is a much watch during the season for me. I also had a question, of all the final girl season ones which one do you enjoy the most?
This absolutely reinforced my wanting this game, with series 2 having an Alien and The Thing themed board I can’t resist.

Really really enjoyed this Paula it was definitely worth the wait and did not disappoint ! Really fun play through and so cool you have your own card! I hope you get your own miniature in a board game soon too that would be Hella cool I really hope you will do more final girl solo plays it was horrifically good time man those poor dice rolls were scary however added to the tension. As for favorite horror film thats so tough but I have a soft spot for the campy 1981 film my bloody valentine or 1991 film the resurrected or the black and white film 2011 whisperer in darkness

Two years later I finally got the game with a bunch of feature films. Using his video to see how the game is played. You rolling badly is still as hilarious as it was two years ago. 😅

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who made the initial mistake of thinking Hans moves as part of his default action.... in my first game, he barely moved for the first several rounds, and I thought I was doing something wrong.

Very entertaining video. I don't usually watch board game play throughs but I'm on board with other commenters that I'd be in to watch another scenario (and maybe I need to give some of the other play through videos on this channel a chance). Just promise in the next play through you'll swap your medkit in on the turns you're planning to heal during. :P
hehe, I probably could have done some more equipment swapping than I did. That bat being two-handed made me just want to keep it the whole time, rather than be without it, but I think you're right that I should have gone on the defense a bit more and used my trash can lid and med kit at least one of those final turns!
And I hope you enjoy the other play throughs, if you check them out. Monique and Naveen are great, and I've got lots of other Solo plays for you to choose from as well!

As a giant horror nerd it changes, but I'd probably land on The Haunting ('63) or The Descent most often. The Babadook is amazing as well!

@@PaulaDeming When people day something like The Exorcist or The Shining are the scariest horror films, I just have to shake my head. For me The Descent takes the spooky cake (at least without going into "extreme" cinema). And like your pick in Babadook, great psychology and underlying themes for real weight.

So stoked to play this, I pledged all-in on kickstarter. I can see why some are put off because of all the 'luck' and dicerolls, however I am a sucker for randomness. I may however alter the rules a little bit, because for as far as I've read the win/loss ratio is around 4/6 at most and I'd rather have it sit around 5/5. I think I'll either make the 4 on the dice discard 1 instead of 2, and/or make it so that the last life token of the player has a smaller chance of being the actual last life. Anyway, I'm sure I'm going to love this a lot c:

The desperation die will also increase your chances of succes just a little bit each game, and also will add another big moment of suspense :D

@@WatchItPlayed yeah must be great indeed to be featured in a game. I especially love what you can get when saving victims like getting items or moving two spaces. And the fact that you can roll two dice instead of one if you can have it must be a real life savior if you play the extreme horror.
I left the video playing while I went to get some card sleeves (sleeving some Arkham Horror LCG cards) and came back to find Paula looking like she got jumped!

Played the other day using your Final Girl and there was a great combo for your promo card's special ability. In the medical storage was the Hook-Handled Bone Hammer, which requires rolling a die each time you attack using it and taking damage if you roll 1-4. So, your power allowed me to roll 2 dice each time I used it and choosing 1 of the 2 for the roll, and with my three attacks using the Bone Hammer I succeeded 2 out of 3 times, so I only took 1 damage out of the 3 attacks thanks to your character.
Nice! That IS a great combo you had going on. I hope it can help other Final Girls survive as well. _Happy gaming!_

At the end you might have survived if you have used the trash can lid. Great playthough, really enjoyed your reading, acting and specially getting the bruises of the promo card too.

Thematically, there was no time for defense. The bat was in her, now numb, hands and she saw that Hans could bleed.
I love this game. I like the silly 80’s scary movies. There is one where a lawnmower goes after people and is then disabled on a golf course.
The 80s produced a lot of wild horror movies!

I used Paula as the Final Girl when I played the Terror From Above vignette on Maple Street. I was victorious (one of very few times), but realistically, I got lucky because the police car event was drawn and it saved 4 victims for me, which was a huge help. However, the image of Paula shooting birds out of the sky with a gun is awesome.

Great play thru. I've been looking forward to this one for awhile, and I'm not disappointed.
If you thought you had a rough game of Final Girl, here's the story of the most one sided games I've ever played: Same setup (Hans/Camp Happy Trails). The first event card of the game? Deathwish. Every turn, a victim moves TOWARDS Hans. Second round's terror card? "What's that noise? Let's go and see"! Now EVERYONE is moving closer to Hans! At one point, I get the whistle, and try to distract Hans from other targets at the docks...and the terror card Fire is drawn. I take a hit, the victim that's with me dies, and the item stack for the dock just went up in smoke.
This game went from "Friday the 13th" to "Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil" in 4 turns, and the only way I could justify the ending was that Hans was trying to save ME after seeing countless college kids killing themselves all around him.
Go ahead and have a good laugh over that one. I did. And finally: Favorite Scary Movie? Tie: Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and 1988's The Blob.
