Dentist prices in the USA are crazy outrageous. My brother went to Thailand and had his decayed teeth drilled and crowns put on for half of what the dentist in USA quoted. He is going back for an implant next month. He said the clinics there are spotless, the doctors are all highly trained and educated. But do your research first and pick a reputable clinic.
@ Deals togo. You do realize that the staff pay and almost everything else is less expensive in Mexico, ? That’s why there is also a difference in fees in Manhattan and small town Iowa
I just went to Tijuana to do all on 6 surgery. I’am very pleased so far, everything was painless. Amazing service. And now I’m into my first week of a 6 month recovery. Before I get my permanent teeth put in.
Was in Mérida, Mexico on vacation and decided to have my teeth checked, 2 small cavities and a cleaning US75,00. Great dentist, professional and patient for a chicken like me. Every time me or one of my sons travel we have our teeth done somewhere else. Good experiences in Uruguay, Argentina and Panama so far besides Mexico, I have had work done in the States and was really not pleased at all
Sick and tired of North American dentists taking advantage of us.... I could tell you horror stories what they did to me.... One time I had a filling replaced twice because it fell out and I had to pay Full price each time... For the shoddy work..... They pulled a back molder that the roots went into the sinus lining they didn't tell me.... It ripped the sinus lining and infection started three sets of antibiotics later.... I started to get suspicious so I went to a specialist he asked me who the butcher was..... I had to have surgery and my vocals have not been the same..... Can I sue them, no I'm the little guy and they're protected...... Of course they don't want to lose business to Mexico....... They don't even have the latest technology that Mexico's been doing for years.... Or understand the procedures....
I have horror stories too! Dentists in Oregon have ended my health and destroyed my life. They are a cartel, every single one protects the other. They lie, falsify chart notes to screw the injured patient. And doctors will NOT validate any medical-caused injury. Suing is a most improbable proposition, due to the enormous costs of taking on the insurance kingdom.
@@sigreento Hey, since I posted this comment I went to Mexico in TJ do an office called Washington Dental and got everything done. Amazing place at 1/3rd the cost of what I was quoted by the least expensive offices in Vegas
Def goin to research going away to get work done. My dentists here in Canada quoted me $60k for a full mouth restoration. That is just freakin criminal in my opinion. Good dental care is only for the wealthy it seems
Right??!!!!!! I was quoted $36k for a full mouth restoration. Pull all natural teeth then do a top and bottom implant so I can actually have teeth and my damn health back but… who tf can afford $30k+ just to be able to eat again? I couldn’t imagine $60k!!!!! What a joke.I’m definitely 1000% going to Mexico. Already decided.
Szme. My upper teeth alone for the All on 4 Implants was quoted $30,500. Its been 8 months since and its likely 40,000 now. Am wanting to plan a trip to Mexico to have it done. I have Dental benefits and they would not ok the procedure!!
The "best " alternative ? From what I have seen is beyond my ability to pay. The only people who ,so far, have said don't go to Mexico for dental work, work in the dental profession. People who live in my city , who have gone, recommend I go. They are very happy with the results, none report problems. I have recently started research into this , and will continue my research.
It is the same job and the same quality of it, just here in Mexico is really cheaper than in USA, it is really cheap even for meddle class Mexicans. If Americans come to Mexico and they leave money for the job we do its okay. Thanks for comming have a nice dental health ;)
Interesting that the Dentist says "it may not be the best alternative"! Is he willing to drop his outlandish prices so people can afford to stay in the states to get dental work done?Seems like he is possibly scared of the competition and losing money. Oh well! Same thing here in the US. I see lots of horrible work done by implant dentists here US. One is a dental implant doctor and his teeth poking out of his mouth like Bugs Bunny.
I was a Rubio customer, never heard of circle tho i think i might have seen them on the way, how much for a zircon crown if you know or do they have a website
They are trying to down play it on the news you save thousands get referred by someone who has been and you will be alright and happy I'm going down there from Arizona in a few months.
Of course is a regulated activity, you have to have the permits to work, its insanity thinking about our goverment allowing like 600 of clinics working out of the law, I work as a dentist assistent near México city and we should have permits to work if we dont do that we will be fined, so its stupid thinking about working without permits, come to México and you will not regret it, look for the better options, you can check their licenses before you come their are called "cedula profesional", there is a web page from our goverment were you can see if your dentist have the licenses they need to practice dentistry, dont be afraid, they have had good education, when they were students they practiced with real people and no mannequins, so when they finish school they have had experience working with real patients. Welcome to México neighbors!!!
Few hundred bucks my arse lmao all my work in the USA will cost 35,000 in Mexico is gonna be 11,000! I'm getting my teeth finally fixed and getting a vacation and the clinic is ADA certified.
Dental prices here in the US is shocking. I had 1 extraction today, cost me almost 2000 dollars. Now im planning on a dental trip for my other problems.
I have been totally screwed by an expensive dentist here in the US. Then he took ALL my money so I couldn't do anything to fix what went wrong and I was seriously frightened of this dentist ever looking in my mouth again. Dentistry IS serious health care and impacts your health hugely. When teeth get old and really start breaking down and more drastic, even dangerous, and expensive, measures are necessary. I would go to Mexico, but I would take my time choosing a dentist and be especially cautious. Bad things with dentistry can happen anywhere, though.
A few hundred bucks? They quoted me 3 missing mollars implants for $3600, for all 3! In America, they said it would be around $4000 each, $12,000 total!! That’s $8400 savings, minus traveling costs, it’s around $7800 in savings!!
If there was actual insurance for dental work that covered procedures and not just 10% with a cap of $1,000 - $1,500 and dentist charged fees that are reasonable and attainable instead of outrageous and numbing better than nonvaccine than people wouldn't be forced into alternatives. You can save thousands of dollars not just hundreds that the news bimbo said, depends on the procedure.
I'm here because I'm researching Mexican dental care after getting a quote for 5k today for two crowns and a tooth extraction. I live near Juarez, Mexico, and you bet your bottom I'm seriously considering hopping the border to save some money.
Love how the critics try to convince people using scare tactics.... I wonder if the people in Flint Michigan think Regulation was their saving grace for the lead water they were guzzling? The best way to find a good dentists is work of mouth.. If people are flocking to certain clinics, its a good bet they are giving quality work.
Thier offices out there is much cleaner and their treatment is all about the customer and not always about the $$$ like America. In The US it's amazing how you could pay almost 8k for a tooth implant when in Tijuana its about 2k for the best on the market.
A few hundred dollars, I have had 18000 dollars worth of work in Los Algodones that would have been 60000 in the u.s. Best dental experience ever, treated like a real person, new facilities. Also they guarantee their work for 5 years. In u.s. lucky if you get a week.
Most dentists in Mexico are trained in the US. Also, "To save a few hundred bucks"? "All on 4" in Mexico is between $9,000-$11,000. In the US the same thing costs between $35,000-$40,000. This is fear mongering.
Have you had implants done? My teeth are falling apart on me and I barely make $20k a year at my job. In my 20's I thought I had healthy strong teeth, so I never went to the dentist like I did when I was on my parent's dental insurance, now I'm 36 and I've had 3 teeth pulled, I have 3 broken/rotten teeth, and 1 crown, and a ton of cavities. I'm freaking out not knowing what to do.
@@pandap4ntz Not yet but I'm planning on getting implants. Mexico is where I'm going to get the work done. All of my teeth on the top are rotting and it's taking a toll on my heart. Unfortunately, your best option is to go get implants done in the US if that is where you're from. There are payment plans you can get on. Honestly, if I were you I would get the work done, pay the monthly cost for 6 months and then stop paying it off after you get the final and permanent implants put in.
@@maovslandlords9244 I've been watching a ton of videos on dental tourism today, and also on dentures (my plan b), and I am feeling much more reassured about things now. I might be able to talk my parents into helping me fund a trip to Los Algoldones, and if they don't, I feel way better about just getting dentures. Found a channel called kalinjax this lady has beautiful natural looking dentures, it was a process, but her story is pretty damn inspiring to me. I hope that we're both able to get the treatment we need, sooner than later, good luck. Edit: She started out with dentures, but later got all on 4 implants.
@@pandap4ntz My only problem with dentures is that they can cause sores and ulcers in your mouth because they move around and don't stay in place. Otherwise I would 100% be getting those instead. Plus, they fall out when eating. I'd rather just opt to get implants instead. Dental tourism is a great idea for implants. Personally, I'll be going to Cancun for my implants. I wish you all the best though. The US is so profit driven and it hurts people like us. Unfortunately.
I know a 100 people that go to Mexico and have had no problems .. American dentist just like alot of things just want all the money they can get from you .. Americans don't want to be screwed out of there money if they can help it .. My brother and I will be going to Mexico soon ... And saving $1000s with a beautiful vacation at a resort
This channel didn't do a good job describing the story before it sent it to the reporter in Mexico. They said you could "'save A FEW HUNDRED BUCKS" and made it sound like it wasn't worth. Maybe for a lower cost procedure, but many go for extensive work and this wasn't covered. Nice if it had been.
Very much the same in Canada. Pricing is outrageous and cost prohibitive. Nice to know the Arizona dental association is so against cross border dentistry. I wonder if their as biased as the Canadian medical association?
I went to an American dentist and they extrcated 27 repairable teeth cause I didn't go to multiple places for 2 3 4 or more opinions. Now i have no teeth, no bite force...no life.... The teeth on it are the length of a house keys thickness....literally little plastic nubs. Dentures are basically for smiling.. Nothing else....i can't belive someone sold me to get dentures instead of fxing my teeth....even worse I said I didn't want to but kept being told it will be ok....like it was best for me......evil people out there. And I'm changing my whole life so I can afford implants and the all on 6. Trying dental departures in Mexico . their work ia gurarenteed.
I go to Los Algodones all the time for dentistry my family does everyone else aswell! neighbors etc.... I go to Smile Crafters By Algodones Dental Group they have a integrated hotel, transporation nothing compared to my dentist back home much better!
Much better work and worth the drive from Florida. I recommend High Esthetic. Three years ago Dr. Cazarez did extensive work and just recently Dr.Elizondo did a fine job. Top noch Team.
I am not a dentist but I know on an average 70% of the dental practice income goes for practice itself to cover operation cost... not to mention the remaining 30% will be taxed at 30% in most states. Oh.. I should also mention the average student loan for dental school alone is averaging $350 k.
Still, a common person cannot afford to go to the dentist. That's where the Government supposed to give us Universal Healthcare, but the bastards in DC refused to give it to us because they accept corporate donations from health insurance companies and other corporations.
@@nikkibb1998 I hear you! As you know, our elective officials from both parties are getting free dental and healthcare paid by the American taxpayers. And yet, these same elective officials want us to waste so much on dental and healthcare under this for-profit system. For a nation that does not provide dental and medical care for all citizens is a nation that is violating human rights.
Maybe you should have public school and Healthcare systems that compite with the private to push tej prices down and allow Americans to study without need of crippling debt. Like Mexico, Canadá, prety much all of Europe, Japan, Australia, etc, etc.

@ Curious People. Using a rubber dam for endodontic treatment is the standard of care. The vast majority of dentists in the US do use them. I’m sure if you look, you can find dentists in Mexico that don’t use them either
Risks of going abroad for treatment is your american dentist cant make a living off of you. Same care cost 70% less in India, Thailand, Colombia/Mexico... Nicer people too. Nurses attend you way more. Yes for precision care for brian or heart you may do extra research, else no risk to patient I would think.
mexicos dentist do way better than what my american dentist ever DO. I had a tooth that was needed for extraction, it was hitting a nerve that could cause a stroke… it took them THREE YEARS, to finally extract it even though i yokd them constantly i was in pain, and i would faint every now and then not knowing why… and it was bc of the tooth. but what did they do after that? left the most visible hole instead of give me options to fill it in. Im still only an adolescent & i feel like im OLD bc of the type of quality they gave me in my mouth which they charged THOUSANDS to my parents. Really hate it here
Similar story. 4 years, still no extractions, 2 teeth became 3 to 5? Consistent opinions and how they not catch this with 4 years of xrays??? Then they offer no way to fill/replace them. No plan.
I'm getting mine done now in San Diego it's not about the cost to me every dentist not good at doing veneers and i dont like how fast they doing everything in 4 to 5 days just dont seem right especially if you having a gum lift they basically dont let your gums heal before putting veneers on, I'll rather pay more knowing the work I'm getting
I had my whole mouth done in los Algadones , Alberta dental and now I have to have everyone replaced !!! They are not fitting right and I can get decay because of it
Definitely going to Mexico. I am sick of being lied to. Quoted for fillings then suddenly I need 5 crowns? $221 shot up to nearly 5k. I got second and third opinions and they are all different. Over it.
Any Reputable and Qualified Mexican Periodontist recommendations? I need to have a surgery called a Gum Graft and it will be humming to the tune of $600-$1,200 per tooth here in the states

The dental cost in the USA is the most outrageous thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I have a dental insurance premium, and I bought a secondary one, and those two insurances were barely enough to cover two root canals and two crowns and I still had to pay 900 out of pocket. In Jordan my country dental art is advancing and for $2000 over there not only can I get root canal on almost every cavity that I have, I will also be cleaning deep cleaning and whitening. There’s no freaking reason for this outrageous costs in this country
Yea lmao I saved over $20,000 on implants I’ve been down every year 10 years now from Colorado to Yuma going to Navarro dental in Los Algodones Never had one problem the quality of the work is pristine!!!! Not to mention the price Of course Arizona dental facilities are going to knock Mexico because they’re taking all their business
My children are terrified of the dentist, have to go for filling every 3-4 months, bc fillings don't stay.Lots of stress at the high price and low quality. Consider going to Mexico.
"A few hundred bucks" is a misrepresentation. When you have to choose between medical treatment or having a place to live there is considerably more to think about. In Mexico you can save between 66% and 75% and as long as you do your homework first you can get really good treatment. The price difference is often measured in the thousands of dollars.

Can you give me the name of the clinic ill be there sept
@ Deals togo. You do realize that the staff pay and almost everything else is less expensive in Mexico, ? That’s why there is also a difference in fees in Manhattan and small town Iowa
How is your brothers dental work holding up 4 years later? Serious question.

Good experiences in Uruguay, Argentina and Panama so far besides Mexico, I have had work done in the States and was really not pleased at all
Every dentist is different. It's all a matter of research. But What I can say is that International dentists in Mexico are highly qualified.
I just got quoted $12.000 for a treatment i need here in Nevada....Time to dust off the Ol Passport
Stay away from Hi Tech Dental in LV, they lie to patients to take thousands from you for stuff you do not need.

Which clinic are you visiting?
Dental prices here in the US is shocking. I had 1 extraction today, cost me almost 2000 dollars. Now im planning on a dental trip for my other problems.
It's not a '3D printer', it's a milling machine that mills your crown out of a ceramic blank. Another machine bakes the proper color enamel on it.
Going to Puerto vallarta for veneers, screw our corrupt system.
Of course I would trust someone as long as they're experienced.
Who did you see in Mexico?
If there was actual insurance for dental work that covered procedures and not just 10% with a cap of $1,000 - $1,500 and dentist charged fees that are reasonable and attainable instead of outrageous and numbing better than nonvaccine than people wouldn't be forced into alternatives. You can save thousands of dollars not just hundreds that the news bimbo said, depends on the procedure.
Do you know any trustworthy dental offices in Mexico? Might have to go there myself someday
I'm here because I'm researching Mexican dental care after getting a quote for 5k today for two crowns and a tooth extraction. I live near Juarez, Mexico, and you bet your bottom I'm seriously considering hopping the border to save some money.

Shame on America 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 why they don’t do it affordable so people would do here
Save a "few hundred bucks"??? How about saving 7 THOUSAND dollars.
Very much the same in Canada. Pricing is outrageous and cost prohibitive. Nice to know the Arizona dental association is so against cross border dentistry. I wonder if their as biased as the Canadian medical association?
I just got back from Mexico and I met two couple from Alberta. And another from Japan too.
Dental care is not regulated like in Arizona, the price is NOT regulated in Arizona either. Dental price in America is ridiculous.
3D printer?? Hmmm no, it's a CNC machine essentially.
That's where the Government supposed to give us Universal Healthcare, but the bastards in DC refused to give it to us because they accept corporate donations from health insurance companies and other corporations.

my dentist in USA did root canal and did NOT use Dental Dam , while the one in Mexico did. action says louder than words.

Of course the Arizona dental association would say that. Its the insurance racket in the U.S keeping prices high. Not regulations.
mexicos dentist do way better than what my american dentist ever DO.
No plan.

Definitely going to Mexico. I am sick of being lied to. Quoted for fillings then suddenly I need 5 crowns? $221 shot up to nearly 5k. I got second and third opinions and they are all different. Over it.

There’s no freaking reason for this outrageous costs in this country

cost of all on 4 in the usa is 50 to 100k , 6 to 10k in Mexico
"A few hundred bucks" is a misrepresentation. When you have to choose between medical treatment or having a place to live there is considerably more to think about. In Mexico you can save between 66% and 75% and as long as you do your homework first you can get really good treatment. The price difference is often measured in the thousands of dollars.
