I might not always be a huge fan of your designs (tastes are different), but I am ALWAYS impressed by your craftsmanship and your engineering! You can make shapes just with your hands and a grinder that I wouldn’t be able to make even with a jig and a milling machine… 💪 Absolutely awesome!
Having the coarse height adjustment in the top part reduces it's stability, which is why most of the commercial saw horses avec extending legs. The fine adjustment is a very nice touch.
Thank you 😊 yes that was the only thing i was afraid for. That's why I decided to use the tube compartment so that the mechanism would be stable. And it is very stable
@@TheMetalisti put a sacrificial piece of angle iron mounted with some tabs so i can plasma cut sheet metal on top of it without blowback and replace the angle iron when its all cut up
Another brilliant build Dirk, thanks for the ideas and inspiration, your builds always contain original twists to reliable technology, nothing wrong with that, especially as most of the bought items these days are poorly constructed using sub optimal materials.
Have you considered ball locking pins instead of bolts for the vertical height adjustment? Perhaps replace the fine adjustment turnbuckle with all-thread or an Acme screw rod and a pair of nuts that ride on it. Then you can have a hand crank on the end for adjustment.
Very elegant design. That said, wouldn't it have been great if there were a "nut" that you could stick a socket on and raise/lower it with a cordless drill? As with all your projects, I stand in awe of your skill with a TIG torch.
the one thing I realy like is the way you made you cutting steel saw a band saw - all whats needed now is to give it a nice fresh coat of white pain so it can be sort of like original
Your craftsmanship and videos are the best. Please what settings for tack welding are you using? It will be super if could do video about welding, because your skills are amazing.
I've never seen saw horses built like this before Dirk. Great ideas you have my friend. I guess if you don't need them as saw horses they could be used as jack stands?😆 jus kidding... Awesome build brother!!!👏 Jay.
Yes i need this with extension wich can get Pulled out to 2,5meters and all af this in a heavy Applikation for 500kg Applikation. Tanks for the beautifull impression
Love it, like all of your projects. It is a masterclass on metalism. Keep on sharing please. Your ideas and performance rock! Only one thing.. maybe it was the audio of my phone but... Just in case... During some periods of the video, there was a noisy "biiiiiiip" that was annoying. I don't know if anybody else heard it. If this is the case... Just keep it in mind for future audio edition. Thank you and good luck

Tell us this trick, that everything you own looks like raw metal and there's no sign of oxidation or rust. I believe most of us followers would like to learn that. I don't know how it is in your country and if the metal is of the same type, but here, in just a few hours, it's contaminated.

00:33 Thank You for the vertical saw table design!
It's like a cross between a sawhorse and a machinist's jack! Brilliant!
Thank you 😊

This is a work of art. This should be patented and sold to everyone.

Maybe put some holes in the top piece so that a sacrificial wooden top could be screwed to it, for other types of work.
Awesome idea 💪
Thank you for sharing this, it was incredibly satisfying to watch! Sick build!

Klasse Dirk, einwandfreie Arbeit. Diese Feineinstellung ist Gold wert.
your work is brilliant. it's not just making products, it's really an art !!!

Man that is some very nice metal sawhorse. Excellent overall.

that's what I was thinking, maybe something with a 90° gearbox that points the nut off to the side. great build though.
Thank you 😊 yes that was my first thoughts but i wanted something light, easy to use without tools.
I agree and like the turnbuckle design. Simple and can make quick small adjustments without extra tools.
Interesting solution. Well done👍
Thank you 😊
Great sawhorses! We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎

Even though I’m African welder I’ve learnt a lot from you Mr Metalist. Thank you so much 🙏🏾
Outstanding! Definitely my next purchase!
Thank you 😊
Very clean build, I can see how they would be very useful!
super neat. i may even have the scrap kicking around to build one for my self.
Nice work pal. You make some crazy good projects, I've been watching your sheet metal roller with interest. I could really use one of those👍
Bardzo dobry projekt.
Brawo za wykonanie ❤
Thank you 😊
Amazing... I would add a small sproket and short chain at the turnbuckle to make it work like a mini chainblock.
I love the concept. The turnbuckle seems a bit clunky. Maybe a small crank out of the one end would be helpful. Awesome work!
Cool take on the idea, especially the turnbuckle.

Great concept! I consider building my own with added leg adjustment 🤔

Thank you 😊... yes or jack stand😅
how many teeth per inch do you use on the band saw ? and can you do a video on the many different hand tools you make or use - thank you
I use 20 teeth per inch
And the tool video will come😁
@@TheMetalist thank you for sharing
I like the metal adjustable marking gauge you use. Where can I buy one. Thanks for the great build videos, Bud

Awesome 👍
Great idea! I already have a set of sawhorses similar to these but was wondering about adjustments in-between. Thanks!
Thank you 😁
What is the weight limit on these sawhorses? Nice work.
Yesterday i put about 200kg on it and it was very stable. If you put a stronger tube on the top it should be way stronger
