I have just purchased mine, should arrive next week so I will with PLEASURE install it on my Type-R :) I just love how the intake does not "scream in your face" when you open the hood. The design is so gentle and subtle, really perfect.

Mine arrived yesterday, thank you MishimotoUK! The installation was really easy - took me around 2 hours, had only one problem with a small clamp. On the 2018 model in Europe, they did not use screws but metal rivets so I had to use a bit of force to open it up. Everything else fits perfectly and is very easy to install. The sound is AMAZING and I could instantly feel the difference on the throttle. The car feels smooth and the response has increased. I will certainly recommend Mishimoto around my friends and not only :)
Just had the same issue with the clamps. Had to cut them off.

This makes the intake removal look like child's play. It was an eternal struggle to get mine off 😂wouldn't budge so easily from that pin on the bottom of the intake.
My gf got me this intake for Xmas 2020 for my blk 2020 fk8...works well posted a vid on it...good product
I’m currently installing mine now. I’m having trouble with jet valve hoses. Very tight on the barb
Installed mine today. Went smoothly except the worm gear clamp on the stock intake that holds on the metal tube was missing a head. There was no way to loosen it. I was able to pull off the rubber bit with a lot of muscle, thankfully didn't break anything. There are a bunch of other similar worm gear clamps without heads all over the engine bay. I can see some in your Type R's engine bay as well, but you've got an aftermarket worm gear clamp where mine had the impossible to remove one. I feel like one of your mechanics probably encountered the same thing and assumed it was a manufacturing error because the head does appear to be sheared off. Well it is pretty common if it is an error, haha.
I just had this same issue and thought I was going crazy, did the same and luckily muscled it off without tearing anything

broke my jet valve pulling the tube off it, any links/ideas/whereabouts to buy a new one?

On the left clamp has like a pin instead of a screw
Question: everyone running this said to avoid it because it causes loads of heat soak due to the metal design vs the composite designs from other companies. I have this intake, and have had a lot of tuners tell me to go back to stock. Any info on heat soak issues? Had a very reputable tuner in the scene tell me about the issue
We have not seen any issues with heat soak.
Mishimoto Automotive fits this intake for US Model only or does it fit also for the UK European Model?
Hey Alexander. All of our testing and development is conducted in the U.S., so we have not physically had our hands on an international vehicle at this time. However, after quite a bit of research, we have 0 reasons to believe this product will have fitment issues on international Civic Type R's. We plan on having them available internationally in the coming months :).

I would like to buy this product, also I’m waiting for the inter-cooler for type R, I wonder if I install this product I avoid the warranty, I’m very concert about it, because I have 100.000 miles or 7 years. I know many people install the product and if they need to go to the dealer for some reason they put stock part back but I don't want to install or uninstall the parts every time to go to the dealer. Thank you.
Hello Alejandro. Typically, warranties are handled on a dealership to dealership basis. I would suggest contacting the dealership you purchased from and ask how they feel about aftermarket parts. You'll usually get an idea as to their feelings about aftermarket parts quite quickly. Some dealers do not mind at all, while some care a lot and will void your warranty if they see a non-oem part.

My 2019 has a pin instead of a screw on the sensor i don’t know how to remove it

Hello RUKlMakino . These items actually just went out of stock again. If you'd like to guarantee you receive one on our next batch, I'd suggest getting an order in asap. These have been so much more popular than we anticipated that it's hard to keep them on the shelf.
i managed to get my hands on one from a friend yesterday. But tried installing it today and was having trouble :( got to about 1min into the video, the part where u have to take the wires out of the casing

Hey M Sal89. We have applied for CARB certification for this product. However, the process tends to take at least a few months from start to finish. While we do not currently have a certificate for this part, we expect approval in the near future.
uk release ?

Sorry for the double email John. Products typically arrive at our UK facility about 4-5 weeks later than they do here stateside. US release is scheduled for early April. These should be readily available in the UK by early May :).
