Nice job Chris! Hopefully in the future you can do an install of a PRL CAI on the sport. It would go great with the tune.
This video was very helpful, thank you!! With lining up the grommet on the bottom, I found if you put the silver bolt by the battery in loosely, then try to line the front of the arbor with the two bolt holes by the bumper, it naturally aligns the grommet and it pops right in

Here’s a question. I have the PRL HVI in my FK8. I’ve taken it out to clean. Is the housing/box required? I’m tempted to leave it off as it’s a pain to reinstall

I think that screw that you could not get off was a Torx screw. Probably a #3 bit.
Does this intake need a tune? I had to take mine off last year because it was throwing a code
So that clamp that looks rounded does loosens up.. it’s designed like that a one time use, but it does loosens. With a pair of needle nose pliers you have to grab the edges. It’s a ford design. Don’t ask me how I know that lol

Absolutely not! I have an intake on my Sport for almost 2 years and never had any issues.

Yeah I found this an issue with some cars after installing and reseting computer still was an issue damn picky cars

Type r only. Fk7 has a different intake. I have a short ram on mine which I made sure video of.

@@chris_timefk8 i just installed mine two hours ago and i got engine lights all over the place🤣 Saw in a thread that i just needed to take it for a ride. They dissapeared eventually😅

@@chris_timefk8 anything that changes the stock power. It really depends on the dealership. I have a 2021 wrx all dealers tell me they will void my engine warranty since it changes the stock power. I love the whooshing sound though.
No I work at Honda here in Canada. Cars come in all the time with those mods. And we never voided there warranty.
Intake is okay. But don't touch anything else before warranty is done. No tune we will know 🤣
