(I used to get them for $45 a box from Wizards) I actually recorded opening a box in July 1994! (I have the paper somewhere that listed each pack in order with the cards) I always loved revised

My LGS has an unopened one for 2100. You are right though, I don't really know if it is trustworthy. Only been going there for about 2 years, and not that often.
About $200 worth of cards for... $2,500? The plastic on the box looked re-sealed. I owned a store in the 90's, sold a ton of Revised. That box seal didn't look right to me. And I don't recall ever seeing a box with only one dual land, always 2 or more. Searched, I think. Plateau is the cheapest dual, probably worth under $30 when they searched, so they left it in as 'cover'.
Plateau was worth well under $30 when these boxes were being sold, I remember some of the better revised duals were only selling for $30 in 2001 when I sold some of mine. I wouldn’t be surprised if plateau was only like $5 then.
BEEN THERE! Like always, recently bought 24 loose packs of 2020 for ONE mythic. Reassured to me that my money will be going towards the older sets like this one to a lesser extent. Still awesome to watch and takes me back to 95 opening 4th edition. Unfortunately here in VT, at least my quiet corner, we didn't see magic until the sought after Fallen Empires ;) so like MANY 99.5% of my collection is worthless to most but hey, a Jesters Cap or Final Fortune still put a smile on my face. I think Mirage is my favorite OF THE SETS I was able to collect. Obviously the earlier black bordered are where it's ultimately at. I collected Serra Angels and HAD a stack until a touchhole stole my 4 main decks along with beauties I had assembled for trade and side board, this was easily 20 years ago but still boils my blood. ANYHOW, I WILL OWN a black bordered Serra, that's going to be my first vintage purchase. :) I've seen you open Lotus so I do feel for you here but you'll be OK. After seeing your bed covered with graded beta the sympathy comes with a *. Keep the vintage goodness coming as long as it's possible with Rudy driving all the sealed prices (and singles) outta reach. Happy Rippin!
Do you realize that you just need to open a Mox Pearl in order to have videotaped an opening of each of the Power 9? That is amazing and there is no other channel that can say that...except for maybe one that is run by a store...
Would be cool if he cracked an Unlimited Lotus as well. One of each opened live. Bet no one has done that. Only other Alpha Lotus opened on air, would be that Chinese fella from the Alpha starter sealed deck tournament.

Story short, she gave the art to a friends kid and they still have it framed. Interesting note: in the comments of the article there is a post by Daniel from mtg finance trying to buy the art.
A few of the old uncommons became rares in more recent sets, such as Clone for an example. But then other cards that were uncommons, like Counterspell, later became commons. I think it was all just a matter of re-balancing as they went along.
This opening brings back memories (wish I could smell the cards), but amount of lands that came in a Revised Booster was criminal. Overall this was a Brutal box opening, I guess big sets will do that.
9:20 actually would gain zero life from swords to plowshares (wall is 0/8) as it gives life from power not defense unless im missing something i used to play when revise was new.
There are hundreds and hundreds if not thousands of sealed revised boxes out there. By revised some people realized sealed product would retain and appreciate in value, so they started hording. That's part of why legends was in such short supply and why it's not very hard to find a sealed English legends box online- alot of them were hoarded away.
Yep. I was a poor college student (93-97) and spent every spare dime on magic cards. So happy I held on to them - got 13 dual lands! This opening had to be some of the worst Revised boosters I've ever seen opened. What's was up with then endless land??? Only one dual land in the box seems strange, and the rares were pretty lackluster. Wonder if this was a repacked counterfeit box?

I know you've already finished the video, but next time wouldn't it be easier to go through the uncommons face up, then the rare, then show off the commons? So you don't potentially mess up any cards while flipping them with the gloves on while recording?

The price of revised booster boxes is can only be attributed to the possibility of it being summer magic that’s not yet accounted for. Duals alone can’t make up for a 6000$ price point
The price is attributed to the fact these boxes are now headed for 25 years old. No more will ever be made, and there aren't many left sealed these days.

Tons. Very printed actually. The duals make the boxes seem more rare than they actually are.
