I am the one who had the Ice Age pack Tavis mentioned. The pack near it ALSO had too many cards. So, one was thin, one was fat. I was trying to see if you had any with excess cards, but I didn’t see any. For mine, it was super obvious. Good call, keep the pack, keep it sealed. Should be three cards, as part of the weight is the wrapper itself. Any questions, feel free to get ahold of me…. I hope this doesn’t get lost in all your comments.
I ran into this once years ago opening a box of Italian Legends. A thick next to a thin pack. In mine the thin was missing the uncommons and the thick one had double uncommons.
I love seeing Wubby interact with Magic. I know it's unlikely but I'd love to watch you play commander or at the very least talk about/show off your favorite decks.
So the guy that runs this channel was hired partly based on his ability to edit a commander game that wubby and tbe gang filmed. Theyve said the goal is to release some edited commander games and see how people like the videos.
@@Exon.47 twitch sexual content TOS was unclear, wubby showed penis, no not his. Twitch banned him and many other creators, then reversed some of the bans at will. Why wasn’t unbanned I have no idea
When I was a kid there was a newspaper / comic shop in my hometown that had one of those sticker dispenser machines, but with Magic cards. It had dual lands in it. No one wanted them back then, they were seen as "land in my rare slot" garbage. The machine would bend the hell out of all the cards coming out. I think about it pretty often.
34:21 I love going on this long quest to figure out how rare a thin pack like that is worth and talking about how rare it is and immediately having the moment undone with the tts
I’m so glad this channel exists. I usually can’t catch stream on Mondays, so I love having a way of watching some of it. Especially since Wubby is the reason I got into Magic in the first place :)
I was following along mapping the box on the rare sheet. If that small pack has a rare in it, then it will be most likely be Jayemdae Tome because he opened from Jandor's Ring/Zombie Masters across those three columns then the first columns from the three rows below it to shivan dragon. The previous card was El-Hajjaj and the next rare is Millstone but the Jayemdae Tome was the only rare skipped over. 21:40 Chatter who said theres a chance at a volcanic island was right that it was near the rares but unlikely due to being from a higher row. Him opening the balance in the next pack almost made it certain to pull Copy Artifact even though the Volcanic island is right above it on the rare sheet.
For whatever reason I missed the end of this opening on the VOD. Glad this channel exists now so I got to see the error pack and Arabian openings. Keep up the good work, Wubby.
I’m not kidding when I say wubby got me back into magic with this channel. I’ve been going religiously to commander nights and it’s been a real treat every Monday to see my favourite regarded streamer get excited about something I like now too!
You're one of the funniest people on the internet and I'm so stoked you're doing Magic content! I've played since the late 90s so THANK YOU FOR THE NOSTALGIA
One of the most epic MTG openings of all time. There won’t be many openings on this scale left, with the products that are out there. Unbelievable ending👏🏻
Wow I completely forgot about the error pack in this box! The past few months of Magic Mondays have been so nutty I can't keep up with all the action! Glad this channel is around, the more wubby the merrier!
Wubby's magic mondays got me back into Magic this year and I couldn't be happier with it. The local Magic community has been great and commander has been a really fun format. I'd love to see him finish the four horsemen and crack a box of The Dark on stream. That's the vintage set I want to complete first and it'd be great to see a break documented like he's been doing.
One of the best box openings on the internet. Your genuine reaction to the thin pack was so cool to see and shows your love for Magic. On top of that pulling the Bazaar from one pack!? Absolutely wild. Wubby7
I started playing MTG with revised! I miss those cards so much. The craziest part of this is, we used to shuffle the cards like playing cards. We didn't care what they were worth, at all.
I love this channel so much! I don't watch much of Wubby live but after finding this channel I just want more!! I love the excitement he has for the cards and that he wants to share the experience with all of us. Also, the editing is amazing!! Good job to the editors!
Back in the day, I opened a Revised Booster Box and some of the packs were short cards. Nothing like this one, however. It sucked that a couple of Rares were missing as well as a few Uncommons, however I did pull four Dual Lands along with a few other top rares, so it wasn't a scam box (boxes were under $100 at the time, so no reason to).
Wubby, this is honestly becoming one of my favorite MTG channels. Your enthusiasm is infectious and you can really feel the love for the cards while watching. Also, the editing, I feel, is just improving with each video. Keep it up!
I find it hilarious that back in 94/95 we though dual lands as rare was bullshit. Every time we got dual lands we were like "god damnit!". I had dozens, no one wanted them. I remember a kid trading me 3 duallands for a Shivan dragon... just to put it into perspective. Also... holy shit, wizards had the audacity to stick basic lands in booster packs... lol I didn't remember that.
8:45 I am a fan of both MTG and Yugioh. I think older Yugioh is like a watered down baby Magic. However, nowadays it is much more "combo" oriented and is a far different game now. I prefer Yugioh myself, but that is because it feels good to pull off a big combo with something like Drytron or Mannadium. Magic is much easier to get into and doesn't have that Yugioh "BS" you sometimes get with certain cards. (Thanks Nibiru and Droll)
I know absolutely nothing about Magic. But I love this channel and these videos! Super entertaining. I used to watch Pokemon card vids as a kid and I feel like this is the adult version of that haha
That was insane. From start to finish just an amazing opening. Spoiler shit: I knew you’d crack and open that pack hahahahahaha sick moment for sure. Opening that Bazaar was wicked! Congrats man. That was some CRAZY good sense to put the thin pack into a case. I was watching like “TF this nerd doing he is just gunna rip it open again” then IMMEDIATELY shoved my foot in my mouth when they were talking about the price of the other one they found. Lastly, got give props to your editor, crushin the game with the music to cover up the copy write shit. Woulda been hilarious if you had pulled a Volcano and had to be muted while freaking out, but we can just set that scene again for Box 6.
I dont play or watch any magic content except wubbys. im not even interested in playing commander im not hating im just complimenting how wubby is genuinely entertaining even with mtg content (which i LOVE BTW) keep up the good work editor and wubby!
The basics suck to open now, but you have to remember that at the time, there wasn't a huge rack of free basics at your LGS to use. The basics you got had to come from packs somehow, and this was the easiest way to distribute them into the ecosystem
Bro I haven't been this entertained by a pack opening video in a long time! You are absolutely hilarious man. I feel like you and Joey Moss should collab :D Much love to you man, keep up the good work!
Trying to bridge the gap here: I play Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic, both are completely different games for different audiences. Magic is the chess of card games and Yu-Gi-Oh is the Street Fighter 2 of card games. Both can be fun in very different ways. Although I will say Yu-Gi-Oh is insanely hard to learn and understand from scratch
Ah man that was such a nostalgic ending. It’s not a duel land but hey Shiven Dragon is pretty cool. There would be a bunch of kids that would be over the moon opening that in the far past.
I havent played in about a decade now, used to go to all of the pre release tournaments, think last one i played at was timespiral, started playing in middle school when beta packs were still on the shelf for retail price, in the early days error packs were a thing if you were buying by the box, i wanna say we would find them all the way up until legends, never quite this light though, had a few that had like 2 rulebooks and would be a card or two light, also came across a few major error cards where the centering was so bad you would have half of one card and half of another, in the early days quality control wasnt great. Came across maybe 5 real error packs over hundreds of boxes and almost 2 decades
Errors happened a lot back in the day, the packs use to be tossed. By LGS’s all the time, Fallen Empires biggest blunder was printing on Wyvern card backs. I have Ice age Blanks also I’d hold on to it brother it’s a piece of history and yea I’ve sold blanks years ago for a fund raiser and I’d do it again. I’m sure somewhere in my collection I have those Misprinted Fallen Empires too.
these packs.... this is what i remember when i used to bust a bunch of packs when i was a kid !! i have tons of stuff from this era and earlier. i should really go through my stuff... i have so many dual lands
The thing with revised and esp earlier sets is that people needed lands at the time. We take it for granted now when we draft that there are boxes full of lands. Back in the day as a new player it could be a struggle to have enough lands. esp with how shitty print runs were. Early expansions were sold out within weeks.
I love that when he watches the video about the thin pack @openboosters, the guy who opened an alpha "freakin Black Lotus", is just chillin there on the right
Yup I don't even like nor play MTG, I did always collect pokemon tcg since I was a kid but recently gotten into One Piece. Altho it's not those TCG's I still enjoy ever sec of your vids lol and always nice to learn a bit about everything
Had this happen before many times odds are its all commons but it might not be, this has happened many times I have even seen Box's with packs that had extra cards to the point where the pack didn't seal all the way.
When these came out, the seller or a buyer probably spotted the small pack and it was discarded, opened without selling or returned to wizard as a unsellable/faulty product. So those became valuable only perhaps after when packs became rare and valuable. Those before weren't appreciated at all.
At least we have a Magic Monday video to help get us through the rest of this week. Stay strong lads. Wubby7
Love you wubbers, so glad you made this channel
im going to start googling bridges if i dont get to inject some wubby7 into my veins soon
you stood your ground to that bullshit TOS
Thank you Wubby

Ry has been crushing it as the editor!
It's fun watching you open these things :) I recall playing with these cards unsleeved and casually shuffled :)
Same. And wrapping a rubber band around decks.
There’s something so funny seeing Wubby rage with house music in the background 😭😂
20:42 8 lands in a pak gotta be a record wow or more like yukky
This opening was legendary not once, but twice. 😂

Nice Bayou pull on pack 1!
Thank you wubby, I’m coming back to mtg after 20 years just bc of your reactions! Hopefully foundations rocks!

these packs.... this is what i remember when i used to bust a bunch of packs when i was a kid !! i have tons of stuff from this era and earlier. i should really go through my stuff... i have so many dual lands
omg arabian nights lol i have tons of that stuff too
One of the GOAT magic mondays

28:22 extra fat/thin packs
What's that music that starts about 24:10 ?

I'm pretty sure revised beta amd alpha had like a b and c boxes.. soo yeah they can be mapped as long ad you know what's in the boxes.

Revised is maximum nostalgia for me. When you could buy dual lands for like 10 bucks and the game was so simple.
That was a better pull than the price guide even had on it!
nice pull!!!! just liked and subscribed!! Great job!
I literally dont know shit about MTG, I just love pack opening and this was awesome!
