Pop outside and listen to the birds, read a poem, play with the dog, find a piece or two to fit into my jigsaw puzzle, some deep relaxed breathing, stick a picture into my scrapbook, read a page from a travel journal or diary and feel pride and gratitude....thank you Margaret for opening my eyes to just how much you can pack into one wonderful minute! ❤
Self care, yoga stretches, looking closely at artwork, feeling grateful for all my blessings, planning a meal, organizing a drawer or rearranging an area. I'm 76 and even with RA, I fill hundreds of minutes with thoughts and action. Life goes so fast and I want to make it last. Being free to do as I choose is my super power! Thanks for another great video. You look amazing, Margaret! Big hugs!! Rosalie
I like to take a minute and think of all the things I’m grateful for. It usually takes me more than a minute, but it helps me put my life in perspective and remember how blessed I am. 🥰
I took a minute and thought of the nicest compliment I’d gotten in a long time. A younger man told me I was “awesome.” This was before I proceeded to do his tax return, so I think he was speaking of my appearance. My self-confidence increased.
Hi Margaret, I’m one of your subscribers, I often think about the video of the day that you share with us, I thought about this message quit frequently today, and did several things that you mentioned. Well the day became more alive for me due to applying several of your suggestions and I felt better all day! I wish I knew you personally and I could have tea with you and absorb your knowledge like a sponge. Have a Blessed day❣️🤗 Rosalie from PA.
Have you ever been shopping and felt a cool breeze of air conditioning coming from above? That's when I think I just want to stay in one spot for a minute and enjoy it - feels so refreshing. I also have a small portable fan and humidifier in my home where I do that. Light a scented candle or put on a dab of perfume and take a minute to appreciate the fragrance.
Wonderful suggestions Margaret. We are dealing with wildfires here in Nova Scotia and it has been an extremely stressful week; especially for the people evacuated from their homes and losing their homes. The firefighters are doing a wonderful job, but they are under a lot of stress themselves. It is always nice to take a few minutes to do something for yourself. I follow your yoga for seniors daily. It is a big help. Thank you for all your suggestions.
Very helpful and doable advice. I find that sometimes we get so focused or, maybe I should say distracted, by the bigger picture that we lose perspective about the importance of the small moments. By breaking it down into small increments, we can often accomplish more. I like to challenge myself like when I put something in the microwave for 60 seconds, you'd be surprised about how many things you can put away or wash some dishes to make your space feel more comfortable. Even on days when we are feeling down, we can get up during a commercial break, brush our teeth, wash our face, put on a little makeup, comb through our hair and that alone not only lifts our spirits, but can give us a sense of accomplishment that can spur us on to do other things. ❤
In one minute, I can: Scrub my bathroom sink Hang up my jacket Gather a load of laundry and start the washer Put on some mascara Knit a row on a small project Check and update my planner for the week Prepare a glass of ice water Take my daily supplements Thanks for the video, Margaret!
It is the small things that I love like puzzles, reading crosswords ect. Thats my self care. You dont think of these things when your younger , when your your a older woman and you come full circle then you get it.
Enjoy nature for one minute. A leaf or flower. The carolling of a bird. The warmth of the sun, the splendour the moon snd the rustling of leaves in the wind. Of course hug your pet. You will receive pet love in return. Appreciate simple things for one minute. This to me is happiness.
Hi Margaret, your chat today was very inspiring. I can lift my sewing project and sew for one minute eg a seam a few tucks or gathers, then continue with my busy day.. Also I can read over my inspiration quotes for a minute to boost my own thoughts. Loved your video. Thank you.
For my one minute, I grabbed my binoculars and walked out on my balcony and scanned the horizon line. The lighthouse is standing tall and proud and keeping a protective watch on the Gulf of Mexico just the way God is always protecting me. Thank you Lord for one more day filled with lots of “one minute” chances to enjoy life and to love others and to serve You! Amen.
Greetings Margaret! Thank you so much for this video. It's very inspirational and non intimidating! You know sometimes the thought of doing something for a long period of time sometimes seems overwhelming. I really think you look fabulous in that blue print today! It suits your coloring and your personality. Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Lovely dress & necklace. You're blessed having children and grandchildren to visit & help you with things. No family or friends close by me anymore 😢. The Loneliness pushes you into a dark hole & impossible to pull out of.
I love your necklace. It is so pretty. I love hugging my dog. Eating a lemon cupcake. Sitting on the porch in the late evening and close my eyes and feel the breeze blowing. So relaxing. I love watching the sun set and looking up at a full moon.
