- Predator 224 vs 212 Hemi
Did some 0 to 30 and top speed runs with the Hemi Predator-powered Coleman CC100X minibike . Swapped out the Hemi Predator for a Predator 224 and repeated the same runs to see if there were any gains in performance.

@@Black66 hey man what kind of brake system are you running on ct200u?
@@lorenzocornelio8595 Stock brake for now. I would like to do some videos on upgraded brakes on one of the bigger bikes
@@Black66that would be cool man thanks.
@@Black66 what kind of oil should I use for my clutch?
I bet that 224 which I have chosen for my phatmoto build would be a torque monster with a high comp piston and all the normal safety mods
Black66 Iam Impressed With The Predator 224. I Recently Picked One Up I Have Not Built It Up Yet. Thank's For The Videos
Another awesome video David.
Bro u need to start ur own class about this stuff info and energy both excellent!Rep for predator something 😄
Awsome comparison video black 66!
Time for 70mph on that bike next😁
@@andrewkuhtz Next video with the 224!
Love your show, just have questions? ❤
I'm running a 3.4 gear ratio on my 224 and it feels amazing, wouldn't mind seeing something in the 3s on that 224
Wht size sprocket is that gearing mine hits 52 stock with 50 rear and 10 tooth clutch
@@julianflores2511 you probably have a lot bigger tires than I do, I run 5 inch tristar wheels.. wheel diameter about 11 inches.
@@PopeyesCreeper All I have is a 100 cc frame with the tires that come for the 100 cc with a 212 stock trying to get the gearing right rn I have a 75 tooth with a 12 tooth clutch I’m gonna try out a 40 tooth with the 12 tooth clutch
@@julianflores2511 I don't have a coleman bike, not sure what size tires they have but the math says it should be about a 17 inch diameter wheel... there are a ton of go kart gear ratio calculators you can use to play with what top speed you might like... a stock 212 predator does the same as a 224 without the governor (about 5500 rpm) so you can play with what gearing youd like with the calc instead of the bike.. use the 17 inches as you're reference for the wheel diameter unless you want to go measure them yourself
Also, I'm not sure the engine can handle the 40 with the 12 tooth.. on paper thats about 83 mph on a stock engine if the wheel diameter I'm saying is correct, the torque I would think would be really bad, but I don't have that much experience with real world gear testing @black66 does though for sure.. most of these vids are aimed around gearing and performance changes
Love the alien head❤
Heck yaaa, pull start, peace2u
honestly, I was kind of afraid to watch this one...I would have been pissed if I had spent all that money building a big bore stroker, only to find a hemi212 could beat it...very relieved to see the results, and to also see the bike can pull more gear
do these little bikes feel stable/controllable doing 60mph...the fastest I've been on my stage 1 TM MB200-2 is 43mph and it felt pretty smooth... I don't have either my 80cc MM80, or my 200cc MM80, up and running yet...and my MM212 with the 223cc engine still needs the VM22 carb tuned (still waiting on jets) so it's not running so rich...
Yes, it is really stable at speed. The next video is even faster!
Lmao! You sound exactly like me. Stage 1 RB200. Top speed so far is 43. Even at that speed all I can think of is Chineese bearings and tiny little Chinese tires disintegrating. I couldn't imagine feeling safe doing 20 mph more!
@@rcinful I went even faster in this video. Check it out ruclips.net/video/xV8i59aGUao/видео.html
@@rcinful can I ask which clutch you have 10tooth or 12 tooth and which size rear sprocket. Im looking into getting a 12 tooth clutch and a 40 rear
@@julianflores2511 I have a torque convertor with 10 tooth sprocket and 60 tooth rear. I'm built more for torque and hill climbing than speed.

I cant wait finally be able to put my 224 back together still waiting on some parts the only thing staying stock on my 224 is the block and crank. Hey black will do you a video comparing stock 1.1 rockers to the stamped 1.3s or 1.3s on the mod2 to prove how much power you gain with just the rockers alone if they are roller or stamped 1.3 is 1.3 the mod2 really was a great designed mild cam that can easily make some wild power.. in your 224 you still have "small valves" 27,25 and with smaller valves you really need that lift to get the most out of that head plus a 109.8 lsa power band is mid to higher rpms with 245 duration help make power passed 6-7000 rpms ideally you want that mod2 engine turning 8,8500 rpms to get the most out of that cam with 1.3 ratio rockers and a minimum of 10.1 compression i personally gun for 12.1 -12.5.1 to bring back some of the low end torque lossed by adding big duration big lift with low piston speeds of shes a sneaky little beast making minimum 18-22hp and does so very reliably on 93 octane at 32° of timing past 6k a 36° of timing would probably be better and help pick up a couple more hp on the top end but still a very very strong power band all the way to 8k
The 224 loves the mod2 cam especially with 1.3 ratio rockers, 26lb valve springs 12.5:1 compression 36° of timing 93 octane
My bet that engine makes at least 22-25hp at 8- 8500 rpms
Thanks for the information 👍
Are u testing other peolpes stuff, like that? Is it all yours? Do u run a repair shop? Are all those bikes yours? Whats up? Just wondering?❤

Do you know if the 224 fits the Bt-200x? I’m hoping my torque converter fits the 224 also. Thanks! Great channel, subed!
Thanks! Ya, the 224 will pretty much fit anything a 212 will.
I've only seen the 212 with a hemi, where do you even get one without? Are they older models that didn't use the hemi? I went with the 224 today before watching this video. Glad I made the choice I did

@@Black66 thank you i sure will! Quick question, do you know the name and where I can find the adjustment nut on the brakes with the allen screw? It snapped off and need to replace it. they got sum ghost engine out now lol idk man sounds spooky good vid tho dogg
Daaaamn!!
Thumbs up! How about some 0-60 times?!
Ya, I'll have to do that some time.
Do you think some street tires would increase your speed?
Hey black66 what bracket are you using to put the hydraulic brake on the cc100x? I cant figure out which one will work
I made a bracket. Video coming out on Wednesday
With the heavy duty rockers on the 224 do you think it's less prone to valve float? Is there a need for 18 lb springs?
Yes, it has 26lb springs and light weight chrome moly pushrods. The 1.2 ratio rockers are more prone to float because they open and close the valves quicker.
@@Black66 it's basically a Ducar. You think it has the 17k rated flywheel?
@@igokarts4510 No it does not. I changed out the flywheel. Check out the playlist for the 224 to see all the mods so far.
What app do you use to track mph
digiHUD for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
Was the 224 stock in this vid please let me know!!
Man i'd suit up somewhat for those speeds. You hit that pavement you are going to skin them palms to the wrist.

Anyone still able to buy a Hemi at their local HF? They seem to be out of stock out of every store I check in Pennsylvania and been out of stock for over a year now.
I don.t see any out here anymore either.

Im using the GPS on the camera for the speedo along with digiHUD app on the phine for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for zero to thirty.
I'd say it's the torque curve produced that decided this outing.
Which do yu think will work better with a 12 tooth to reach 40-45 mph a 40 tooth ,50 tooth or a 65 lmk asap plz an thank yu

What is the stock head gasket size for a non hemi predator

Mod 2 is a useless cam..flawed comparison
That is a matter of opinion.I think the Mod 2 is a great cam if you know how to use it. To me it was a Great fun comparison! Thats all that counts. Having fun with this stuff. To bad the Hemi got smoked! LOL. Maybe it will do better next time...
Thats funny because if you actually look at the specs on the mod2 its one of if not the best cam you can get for the money hands down iv done alot of work with a mod2 and with ratio rockers it makes a world of difference especially 1.3s or 1.4s the mod2 will carry the power all the way to 8k minimum if set up right iv got a mod2 in a 212 and my mini bike is faster then 250cc Enduro bike my buddy owns
