Good stuff brother!! Have you had any experience with those 3D motor sport manual clutch? I really want to get one but don’t wanna get my hopes up and they turn out to be not so good. Thanks for all your time and effort.
One question, my son and I hate the vibration from the stock motor and clutch, it vibrates so much that my eyeballs vibrate, and my son's hands itch severely. Will the Cheetah clutch make it a lot smoother for us to ride, or am I looking in the wrong direction??? He won't ride it because of the vibration! Your input would greatly help. Love the videos!!!
The Cheetah will transition the power really smoothly but I'm not sure that will totally fix the problem. Some of these engines vibrate more than others because the way they are internally balanced...or not lol You could always use a motor mount with rubber grommets. Soft hand grips and good gloves. Here is the link for the motor mount. www.amazon.com/Harbor-Freight-Predator-Engine-Engines/dp/B07M7FXJJK
I think the sketchyness comes in with the frame and no rear shocks. Many of us have a bit of age and weight to us, 55-60+mph I think it's great that these little monsters can go that fast I just want to make sure the frame is stout enough to go that fast and hold up with my retarded ass riding it. @@billdont2458 That's what I like about the calculator. If you input tire height , RPM your trying to achieve , front and rear sprocket size you can tell pretty quickly what will work and what difference it will make as far as top speed and RPM. Generally every tooth you go up on a 35 chain set up on the clutch it will come out to around the equivalent to dropping 6 off the rear. But you can get to a point where even though you are technically dropping rear sprocket size , the engine wont have the torque to pull the gear anymore. Check out the Mega Moto playlist . There is a video on there where I prove this point . The 70+ MPH video .This is why some will gear a bike to run 90 MPH on the calculator but the bike wont do 90 MPH because the engine doesn't have the torque to overcome the wind resistance , rider weight ,etc to get the bike to 90 MPH . Idk if this is good advice but because of rpm and gearing I say that because your running a small rear sprocket and big tooth on the clutch try to get the most out of your rpms go with a bigger or so sprocket so that the clutch doesnt have to push as hard ;)
Its pretty much the same thing. Adjusting gear ratio with the clutch or the rear sprocket. The only real difference is with the rear sprocket you can remove or add one tooth at a time to fine tune the gear ratio. With the clutch every tooth added or removed is equivalent to adding or subtracting 6 teeth off of the rear sprocket. Check out a gear ratio calculator. Check out this video on gearing ruclips.net/video/xV8i59aGUao/видео.html

With the 4.9 ratio, did it want to wheelie? Cuz I'd want an even lower ratio (like 6:1) to move my 230lb butt. I'd rather have acceleration than top speed.
Jeff, 6:1 reduction used to be the old starting ratio for 1960s Karts & Minibikes...but many used 2 strokes like Clintons & McColluchs used to reving.Try 6:1 reduction initially & maybe go up a little from there to help in your wheeling: an aftermarket centrifugal clutch will engauge @ a higher rev in the engines powerband than 1 of the cheaper black centrifugal clutchs. For maximum gearing for getaway use a Torque Convertor for lower gearing getaway to do wheelies & some have a 10% overdrive topend rev gearing for maximum top speed ( I think you can buy aftermarket clutches that give you that extra 10% Overdrive on the top revs to increase your top speed as well.I think I've seen them on Amazon.Cheers from NewZealand.
I'm super impressed with the 224. I'm running one in a 300lb kart. Stock with a mikuni carb no gov. It runs with my rigid 150lb kart with a 212, cam and mikuni.
You having and kick back issues with the 224cc I have one with a billet rod billet flywheel flat top piston .310 cam 1.2 gage rockers . Damn thing kick back is mean
That's what I was going to ask. Same for me. Billet Rod and Flywheel, Cam, Springs, header, Mikuni carb. I've adjusted the valves lashes I don't know how many times. And a mini bike shop adjusted them as well...still getting kick back. I'm currently building a 212 to replace it with. Getting my arm randomly ripped off is a deal breaker for me.
thats crazy i feel like my stock 224 hits the power band a lot better than yours did with that 3.9 gear ratio, I run a 10 on my back with a 36 tooth on my rear, and I hit top RPM only 5500, what seems like really fast
Our engines will be different. We live at different elevation along with different engine combos. I live at 3700 feet. The air is thin up here. I have to jet accordingly.
Your stall speed or engagement rpm is too low.....screw in the spring retainers for more slip, I would start at 3,500 rpm stall. Use a dial caliper to set spring height....you will also need a tach to know where you are
Ok. I bout a predator motor but can't figure out how to pit on my min moto bike I would rather pay someone to build for me..this my number you can text or call me if that would be OK for you

@@Black66 thank you
With the 4.9 ratio, did it want to wheelie?
I don’t understand the gear ratio thing. Could you make an explanation video possibly? Thanks!
How do you not understand it? Its maybe the simplest thing related to this stuff.
There are gear ratio calculators online and also articles explaining gear ratio you could look at :D
@@Tahmanakki cause I am just now getting into learning this stuff. Sorry forgot everyone was born with the knowledge of small motors and gears oops.
@@gabrielmorales9908 thank you, I was watching some videos on it earlier
Driven gear divided by drive gear.
So 12 tooth front sprocket and a 60 rear =5:1
60/12 = 5
Would you sell it. Looking for a city cruiser

Great video - love the different camera angles and the on-screen speedometer! Is there anything left you can mod here to get to that elusive 70.0mph?
Thanks! ,Ya I think so. I might do a cam swap
Ok so cool
I'm super impressed with the 224. I'm running one in a 300lb kart. Stock with a mikuni carb no gov. It runs with my rigid 150lb kart with a 212, cam and mikuni.
how much teeth on the front and back clutch
You having and kick back issues with the 224cc I have one with a billet rod billet flywheel flat top piston .310 cam 1.2 gage rockers . Damn thing kick back is mean
That's what I was going to ask. Same for me. Billet Rod and Flywheel, Cam, Springs, header, Mikuni carb. I've adjusted the valves lashes I don't know how many times. And a mini bike shop adjusted them as well...still getting kick back. I'm currently building a 212 to replace it with. Getting my arm randomly ripped off is a deal breaker for me.
You're kinda crazy to go that fast on a minibike, Dave. Bigger stones than I got.
Check out this video. I went faster on this one...ruclips.net/video/xV8i59aGUao/видео.html
What size bolt do you use for the chain guard on a predator 225
*224
What exhaust is that?
Its a staged pipe with a trumpet end . I added the links in the description
thats crazy i feel like my stock 224 hits the power band a lot better than yours did with that 3.9 gear ratio, I run a 10 on my back with a 36 tooth on my rear, and I hit top RPM only 5500, what seems like really fast
Our engines will be different. We live at different elevation along with different engine combos. I live at 3700 feet. The air is thin up here. I have to jet accordingly.
Not much traffic on the road to nowhere.
Your stall speed or engagement rpm is too low.....screw in the spring retainers for more slip, I would start at 3,500 rpm stall. Use a dial caliper to set spring height....you will also need a tach to know where you are
I run this clutch on many different combos. Check out this video. Thanks for watching ! ruclips.net/video/xV8i59aGUao/видео.html
Is the governor removed?

The 15 tooth could do 70 if you had more road.

What app do you use for your speed?
I use digiHUD on the phone along with the cameras GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30 times
