So I thought I'd work my mojo, right? To counter their mojo. We got cross-mojo-nations, and their heads started exploding. You know, that thing. And I ended up in my knickers here, and--
Frank"s daughter
Just heard that Charlie Daniels died last night ("The Devil Went Down to Georgia"). RIP to one hell of a fiddle shredder, a fine patriot, and a talented musician.
2 out of 3 ain't bad.
the Devil won. Johnny + Pride = Epic fail.
What I remember, this was a video at the end of a movie called The Last of the Secret Agents? (1966) I was 7yr, my parents took us to a lot of drive in movies!
still enjoy hearing this to this day!
She had a big crush on Elvis and was so glad her dad Frank Sinatra sang with Elvis! also..."Some Velvet Morning" Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra in late 1967
Jamel_AKA_Jamel you have such great positive energy that even my grumpy 64 year old dad like listening to your reactions to "his music". Keep up the good work.
"Some Velvet Morning" is a must I have not seen anyone do a reaction to this great song.
Yes, with Nsncy, but then we'd hear same nsme from vanilla fudge. Organ time from the fudge. But Nancy keeps it dreamy. Like intended.
Even though I really like that song, I'd say it's not for everyone. It's a bit odd. Though I guess that everybody should give it a try.
She has some good songs with Lee Hazelwood. I like their remake of "Jackson" and Some Velvet Morning is also recommended.
I think Glenn Campbell and Carol Kaye are both on this cut. Leon Russel too
@@thomasmcintosh390 Take a look at the 1995 version on Jay Leno: ruclips.net/video/v6euoIYQLfY/видео.html
Some Velvet Morning is TRIP. Truthin!
Yes, their of "Jackson" was the best
Strawberry Wine!
Your good vibes are contagious! You lift my mood every time I watch. Thanks and keep doing what you do
Guess you know Nancy's going to be 82 on June 8th this year..and this tune came out in 1966 and was known as her signature song. Thanks for the memory..I was only 18 when this was playing over the radio.
I love the lyrics here - "You keep lyin' when you outta be truthin'", "You keep samein' when you outta be changin'"
Full Metal Jacket! Hard to hear this song and not also hear “Me love you long time...”
Mini skirts hot pants and gogo boots, those were the days. Great music and we all listened to the same music back then before disco and hip hop came around..
The number one song on the Billboard charts the week I was born! Woot!
Janis Joplin- Piece of my Heart
I think he’s already done all the Janis Joplin songs,. Sorry! Go back about 2-3 months,. 👍
@@jimcowan8770 I don't think he did Cry Baby, very few people have done the live version which is amazing!
Jamal, I love your intro music...It sets the tone and then you delve into different genres of music from all different eras and the whole thing is awesome!
I love this video! The mini sweater dresses. The go go boots. The embarrassing dancing. My people.
You always make me smile 😊 So happy to hang with you. You are the best! Thanks Jamel✌️
The singer from Shocking Blue was kinda hot in the same vein... Venus was their big hit.
Shawn Prather....Damn skippy!! Mariska Veres was kinda like unattainable in her visual. As a 16 yr. old at the time, I was enamored by her. Thanks for the memory!
After watching this video I have to quote Jayne Cobb from "Firefly":
"I'll be in my bunk."
Bryan Burton 😂😂😂
I hope nobodys in the bottom bunk!?
@@annother3350 Vera is in the bottom bunk.
Jessica Simpson's video of this song sent me straight to my "bunk" 😜
@@ZEPnALE Probably the only good thing in that god awful movie
Your video's allwase bring a smile to my face! You have a real connection with your audience and made here a fantastic community around great music and us old gits love to show younger people what great music we enjoyed as we were young and feel today's music is lacking the same heart and soul. You're a very special person and I enjoy your reviews and what you think and how you are never negative. So again thanks for being you and making a wonderful channel sir.
Nancy is a class act all the way! She did a duet with her Dad Frank entitled "Somethin' Stupid" which is really good. She also recorded some music with a guy who wrote "Boots" and some of her other hits and also produced many of her records, a guy by the name of Lee Hazelwood. Check out "Some Velvet Morning" or "Ladybird". Classic music! Love Nancy!
Another female from this era, Bobby Gentry did a few great songs, start with “Ode to Billy Joe”! It was a huge hit for her, written and performed by Bobby, by the way!👍🏼😎
I don’t watch a lot of reaction videos in fact I’m only subscribed to one other reaction channel. I came across your channel yesterday and I’m really trying to catch up. We probably don’t have much in common but I love rush Rage Against The Machine and tool. Music can bring people together. Seems like a lot of folks are getting further apart these days. Anyway listening to your channel on my road trip the last couple of days has been a nice break from some of the craziness in the world. I appreciate your love for music and willingness to try different kinds of music as well 👍
Your videos make my day! I used to work at a bakery where the owners wife grew up in Hoboken, NJ. She told me that Frank Sinatra used to carry her books for her after school. Anyway, you keep putting out these videos and I’ll keep watching!
Hi Jamel Nancy is dancing the Shimmy, The Pony. and the Jerk. Thank you for playing this. She has lots others too! Excluding a few songs with her father Frank Sinatra!
Loved it! Saw another comment the Baby’s Isn’t it time! John Waite lead singer
Yes and "Every Time I Think Of You".
On please yes!
OMG! The Babys were awesome! Feet First!!!!!
I watch the video just for the legs. lol.
You sir, earn a salute 😁
I loved this song as a girl, still do. I had go go boots when I was a little girl. Even purple ones. I still love boots.
LOVED your facial expressions and comments !!! "Truthin !!" :-)
1st. R.I.P. Charlie Daniels...
2nd, I just checked and you've never reacted to Joe Walsh, man you need to check out "Life's Been Good" then check out "Life's Been Good" The Spoken Word Version... Joe's funny recalling the old days...lol
You'll love his strumming, the Eagles didn't have him for his Vocals..."Rocky Mountain Way" next, you'll want long versions of these songs...
John Gammon John,John,John, THE CONFESSOR ! R.I.P Charlie what a musician , veteran , humanitarian and the Lords servant !
Studio versions of Joe Walsh, please.
@@CamiMack5616 I know the studio version is cleaner musically, but you don't get the off the cuff Solo's of the live version...jmo
It's hard to leave when you can't find the door.
John Gammon - Absolute YES to long version of “Rocky Mountain Way” ...
Go Joe Walsh! 👋🇦🇺
The song was somewhat forgotten until it got a "second life" after being used in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket in 1987. The song starts the second half of the movie. Some have said the song alluded to Vietnam but I think Nancy always said it didn't.
Me love you loooong time!
Jessica Simpson did a version of it back in the 2000s
This song was NEVER forgotten
Nothing about it alludes to that war. People always try to make these lame connections, don't know why.
It was never forgotten in the UK. I think some semi punk band covered it around 79 and you'd hear the original on radio
Thank you buddy. You're positivity and sense of humor never fails to make my day better.
Love it ! Remember the song well , and go go boots never go out of style, boots make a statement!!!!
Yoo can you react to Crosby stills Nash and young “almost cut my hair” pls it’s too good people like this so he sees it
Yessssssss
I have been begging for him to react to Almost cut my hair for long time now. I hope he gets to it soon.
Hey Jamal, as others have said this is Frank's daughter. Try " Bang Bang" I'm sure you heard it it was on the "Kill Bill " soundtrack
I was very young when this came out. The first dance was the swim and the last dance was the pony.Im so happy your doing better we all care for you and all the love you show us 🙋🏻♀️💕
I forgot how much I loved this song!!!
"Is there any relation to Frank? "
She's Frank Sinatra's daughter
I loved hearing "any relation to brother Frank?"
-- Her father was Frank, her brother was Frank, and her mother was also Nancy.
(I don't know who Tina was named after.)
Franks daughter with her big hit. Great song.
