One of the most iconic introductions in rock history, you know the song in under 1 second when it starts playing. I also love the lyrics in this rock classic, “sitting in a nest of bad men, whiskey bottles piling high...”

One of the most recognizable opening riffs in rock music! Great song, still used in commercials today, 50 years after it hit the airwaves. They had hits in the '60s, Bus Stop, Jennifer Eccles, Mighty Quinn and a couple others. Then this song brought them back in the '70s along with He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother and The Air That I Breathe.
One of my favorite songs of all time. I bet I wore the grooves off of the album playing this song over and over. Really gets my feet tapping everytime I hear it.

This song was a huge departure in sound for them. In the Hollies' native United Kingdom, the song was only a modest success for the band, peaking at number 32 on the charts. However, it was a smash hit in the United States, peaking at number 2 for two weeks.
The best memory I have of this song was in 1972. I was heated South of Jacksonville on 95. I had just been dumped by the golddigger I was engaged to. My pal and I were headed to Miami to party for a weekend. The Playboy Club was deeply involved. About 3:00 in the morning we were listening to some AM station in South Carolina. The Skip was wide open that morning. The DJ said, "Here are the Hollies singing Long Black Woman in a Cool Dress." Everytime I hear this it makes me smile.
Ok, so this is my favorite song of all time! It's just something about it that I can't get enough of. I have it on all my playlists and listen to it every day 💝👏👏👏👏

I know it's slow and dramatic for some people, but if you don't over play and save it for the right moments (usually alone thinking of a past love), it's one of the best songs on the planet.
I like hearing a brother saying We Have To Keep This Music Alive! Amen!!! Jamel right on man!
The Hollies -"The Air That I Breath". One of there Love songs. also "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother".
I love your reaction to this song. The video just makes it that much more of a bop, especially when you the three guitarists all lined up just bumping to the beat.
The Romantics, “What I like About You”
Yes!!!!
Your joy when listening to this song made my day!!!
You're going to love, "Bus stop".... enjoy!
Watching you smile and get in the groove delighted my heart, it’s been heavy recently (who’s hasn’t, right?), I always loved dancing to the Hollies as a youngster in Great Britain.
This song was in one of my favorite sports movie, Remember The Titans!!!
Denzel Washington.
Jamal, you just hit on one from my young days. I actually remember hearing this song, when it was first released. You can not imagine the impact this song had, back then. Yup, I have been around the block, several times. :)
