    I've never seen anyone repair a vehicle with that much damage before. And definitely haven't seen it done correctly like this. To look(and I'm sure drive) like the day it rolled off the assembly line. You have some mad skills! I hope you turn a decent profit on this. You definitely earned it!

      I have done a few factory sunroof installs. When you know what is needed, it is not too bad. People do not realize the amount of work, it is not like the aftermarket, cut a hole and connect some wires. A lot of that work overlapped with repairing the collision damage on this one. Amazing work! Why can’t people appreciate this work for the art and mastery that it is? I’ve noticed that anything automotive related is fraught with negative comments. I think it’s to compensate for inadequacies. Keep posting more like these, and fuck the trolls.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  6 лет назад +1

      Well said! Some people are just lazy and only motivated by money. They have a hard time understanding how a person could possibly like to work and not be concerned with "how much am I getting for this". I do enjoy the trolls. I have never been the type to care what anyone thinks. I do what I want, if you like it great, I appreciate the support. If you don't like it and chose to troll, I give them the attention they so desire at the same time making them look foolish. Most are not smart enough to catch it but the other viewers find humor in it. Thanks for the support, I'll keep posting!

      vehcor Your repairs and re builds are always worth watching because firstly you always do it correctly and secondly when I watch in detail how you do the repair (ie. pause the frames) it's as if you are repairing every car for your wife and kids to travel in safely.....leaving no stone un turned. That's what I love about your work sir. I live across the pond in Ireland. We could do with ppl like you over here!!

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  6 лет назад +2

      Actually, my family does end up in some of these and I drive them all, not that it makes a difference, I repair them all to the best of my ability. I don't just do this work to make money, I really do like it. I could certainly make more money by cutting corners and not worry about making things so perfect but then I don't see the point of doing the job. Some of the people out there doing incorrect repairs are not doing it intentionally, they just lack the training that would teach them the proper methods. Thanks for your support, best wishes from the US.

      If the repair is done correctly, it should not be a deal breaker. Most cars on the road today have been in some sort of accident and most people never know. I have seen some horrific repairs that constitute being a deal breaker and these are the ones car manufactures exploit and spend millions in advertising to convince buyers that new cars are better! I'm a mechanic by day also. I grew up in a bodyshop doing their mechanical work so I learned everything. The bodyshop is a different world. Mechanical work is like science class, bodywork is kind of like art class. You may want to start small, you may find it interesting but tedious and annoying. That is why I have guys do all the prep, paint and filler. I can do it all if I have too but I hate every second of it! You can never have too many tools or a big enough garage! Just crashed my 1995 yukon slt still runs and drives, I crashed on the freeway when traffic stopped when I hit the brakes my truck slid to the side hitting the passenger side doors. On my truck the impact is pretty high because there is no frame damage and it was low enough that the roof is fine, the impact was dead center on the center post. I was thinking after removing the doors I can bend back the post cut it out and replace it from a doner then just get new doors and reuse my panels. Think this is an easy fix?

    I bought a 2002 bmw 325 with side impact similar to this Honda... still parking on my drive way for 6 years....don't know what to do next.... didn't know they sell side inner frame or do they?

  • @tanveerkhan9221

    Looks absolutely brilliant is the car structurally the same as it left the factory would it handle another side impact

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  6 лет назад +4

      Thanks, yes, it will take the next crash the exact same way as the first. All the pieces were put in in the factory locations with the exception of the outer panel which is not structural and can be sectioned in, just about anywhere. If it were all just straightened and painted, the answer would be "no, it will not be the same". That is the difference between a proper repair and improper repair. Thanks for watching.

      Thanks, it was not too bad. I was able to put every piece in without sectioning, with the exception of the uniside, which made it a lot simpler.

      I started by working along side body men and learning from them. Training also helps on the technical stuff. It takes time and patience so start small and work your way to the big ones!

    awesome fantastic work you are very talented but just one question looks like a lot of money, time, and dedication went into repairing this but is it really worth it for a civic?

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  6 лет назад +3

      These cars are hard to find with low miles and no rust like this one. I enjoy these types of jobs and have people to do the body and paint work I don't like so it is more about just enjoying what I do. This is my hobby not my job. Thanks for watching.

    Great work. I would buy that car all day long. But in the end, you end up with a salvaged title.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  6 лет назад +2

      Thanks but why would the title make the difference? Coincidently, this was a clear title. lol

    • @hotrodpawns
      @hotrodpawns 6 лет назад

      Once you professionally repair a damaged vehicle the insurance company has signed off on as being salvaged, you have to take the vehicle to the state highway patrol for inspection, if it passes inspection, you can get a clear title again.

    • @bteamshorts
      @bteamshorts 6 лет назад

      @@hotrodpawns Negative. They will issue a "rebuilt or reconstructed" title though after an inspection.

      @@bteamshorts negative, depends on what state your in, here if it's restored to like new condition, get clear title.
