When you realize Grandma was cooler than you will ever be
😂❤
When Heart sang “Stairway to Heaven” and Led Zep broke down in tears.
I did too, it was incredibly touching.
Yes I saw that! Her voice is phenomenal!
Omg... I just watched that! I'm in tears
Ann Wilson, in my opinion, is the greatest female vocalist of all time!
In rock, yes. Not sure sure music wide, there’s some pretty tough competition out there.
Skin, from Skunk Anansie is pretty amazing. I vote for Ann, but even then....
Com certeza!
Totally agree!!
Agreed 100%!!
This band deserves more respect than what they ever received.
R. I. P. Chris Cornell. What a beautiful tribute to these talented legends.
The Wilson sisters didn't prove they're great female rock n' rollers! They proved they're great rock n' rollers PERIOD!
When Nancy kicks, you know it's on and you're about to be blown away! Ann and Nancy are iconic. There are no equals.
Who's NANCY?? PLEASE
Bullshit. The kicks are stupid and she’s not that great.
FACT!!
@@deysilocacrazylocadia4989blonde one
seriously... for those of us used to her playing live... never quite know if she will be playing a little flamenco for a little bit or a while... and then she'll just bust into that distinctive intro to Crazy on You like she was shifting a gear. :D
When God made Ann and Nancy Wilson he broke the mold. No one can hold a candle to these two incredible women!!
So glad to see Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen and Michael Derosier get some respect, these guys were so instrumental with Hearts success.
that's an understatement
Early success for sure, when they hit it big in the 80’s, like massive, it was Howard Leese.
Heart was a lesser band after their departure. Musicians of equal talent came in (Mark Andes, Denny Carmassi) but the perfect original chemistry was gone.
Heart lost its identity when Roger Fisher was kicked out. Then they struggled but only with the help of other song writters did they manage to regain success. Heart was so great in the 70’s but became another band in the 80’s
I love to isolate the bass or drums or guitar in some of their really big sound records, like Barracuda and Little Queen. They are so extremely talented, which raises each song to another level. The complexities are what is needed to be on a level with the vocals and lyrics.
I will never tire of Ann Wilson's voice. I still can't believe she sounds this good at this age..a miracle in itself.
It really is,.The sorrow her voice can instill makes me emotional,.and I don't get emotional ; (
Yes johnno, ann would be all of 60 when they were inducted, and her voice was mad eh.one of the best biggest emotional singers.ever.
At her age? What is that supposed to mean?
@@Pashasmom1 I have no clue. Ann has steadily improved over the years. Many other singers have as well. It is one of those things you can keep getting better at for a very long time. My mother started voice lessons in her 70s and now solos in her church choir in her 80s - she's at the peak of her abilities. With any luck, Ann will keep singing for us for many more years.
Bunni Armani - It means that most singers kinda lose a bit of their range and/or power by the time they’re in their 60s, but it hasn’t happened to the amazing Ann Wilson.
Ladies and Gentlemen this is the definition of American Rock n Roll.....The Wilson Sisters and Heart.....Hardcore.....
Imagine in their 60's playing live sounding like a studio version. What talent.
I am literally blown away. Nancy came out with that kick in the beginning. I was shook. Then Ann comes in with a powerhouse vocal. They have not aged even a day in their talent. Nancy is murdering that guitar. Those notes Ann is hitting are next level.
Why’d we get stuck with Cardi B and Taylor Swift? So unfair.
When you put it like that, the world we're living in now feels all the more strange.
Hehe I hear ya good sir :) Am 52 and fell love with heart when I was literally 9 yrs old :) Nancy continues to become more like a fine wine:) I Love her attitude and oh crap she can really play :) Peace and Love from Canada eh :)
Heart is real, Cardi B and Swift are fake. Fabrications. Invented by the recording industry much like the boy bands.
Sorry brother but the 70's and 80's was and will always be the best music and musicians ever to ever grace the planet ! I was so thankful to grow up in this era and to this music
No shit, Adam.. music in general today is an embarrassment to the "music" scene.
HEART, Aerosmith, Boston, Led Zeppelin... No words, just listen and enjoy the Greatness in this music they gave to the World.. theyre True musicians..!
Every word Chris said was absolute truth, what a speech. R.I.P. Chris 🤘
Elephant in the room for me at the beginning. RIP 😢
Their absolutely 💯 amazing. Rock and Roll hall of fame. Anne your so beautiful and full of voice. You're magic.❤❤❤
"Two Joan of Arcs" ? 😄
Nancy's speaking voice sounds so much like Ann's singing voice...underrated for her singing, tho not surprising given Ann's absolute banging voice. Love Ann and Nancy.
Nancy wasn’t that under rated bro She did after all land heart their first number one with her as lead vocals Ironically . They hiked about it sometimes that Anne was bitter over that 😂
@@CHAKASHAKA She suffers by comparison, no doubt. Ann's voice is just at another level.
They are the killer queens of rock and roll. Ann and Nancy do it better than most men do. It was never a question whether they belonged in the Hall of Fame. They are definitely one of my favorites of all time.
As a side note, my favorite part of watching Heart perform live is the way Ann and Nancy look at each other when they're doing their thing. You can see Ann watch Nancy play, or Nancy looking at her sister singing, and you see the incredibly rare and powerful bond and mutual respect between these two sisters that undeniably elevates their music to another level.
Greatest female lead singer band of all time!!!
You got ANN!!! QUEEN OF ROCK XOXO
victoria gabriel
I adore Ann Wilson but I'm sorry, Tina Turner is The Queen of Rock.
kootenay womon Tina Turner sings Soul and R&B, dude - not Rock.
Hi Dmitry!
Tina has been refered to as the queen of rock for many years now, ( one source to check would be wikipedia) I stand by my comment and would go on to say that yes, she is a legend in the Soul and R&B genres as well. Dude.
kootenay womon I still don't consider Tina Turner to be a Rock singer, although she has done some Rock-oriented songs - I grew up listening to Rock radio in the 70's and 80's, and they didn't play any Tina Turner, dude. But they sure played Heart all the time.
The Kennedy Center Honors performance to Zeppelin really showed the emotional talent they really had. They kicked it. With Jason Bonham on the kit, he raised the song ten fold. What a tribute to his dad. Ann Wilson NAILED the vocal. That performance alone granted them into the HOF.
Other than the original version, that performance at Kennedy Center Honors was the best version of Stairway I have ever heard. Chills and tears every single time I hear it
I watch that once week in case 7 days goes by and I die having not heard it recently.
I wouldn't say that was what got them in they should have been in long before 2013.
Both Ann Wilson, Heart and Led Zeppelin are amoung my very favorite musicians!!! I watch Ann, Nancy, Jon Bonham, and a whole cast of fabulous musicians completely nail that song and bring it to new heights! I literally watch it all of the time!!! Hardly a day goes by when I do not listen to it and view it! The Kennedy Center is so totally awesome! I don't ever think that I've seen a bad performance there! What an absolute EPIC tribute to Led Zeppelin!!! The band members of Led Zeppelin are literally crying tears of joy!!! They are so very, very amazed at this rendition of one of their greatest hits of all time!!!
That was epic. The way Jimmy Page was rocking out with a huge smile while Robert Plant teared up watching John Bonham's son play drums was also great.
I never have heard of a voice like Ann's. Its perfection!
One of the hottest female singers EVER! Powerful!
Powerful! Extremely amazing… should I keep going.. ? 😂 it almost makes you super emotional.. crazy!!!!
Just think if she lost 150 lbs
@@schumi9xwdc - I lost 100. Still cannot sing like her.

you can drop the "first-female-this and-that" tag with them...Heart is TRULY one of the greatest rock acts of all time...full stop. And you only get ONE Ann Wilson..that is a once in a lifetime voice.
Really. The feminist bullshit needs to vanish. They're a great band.

It's so great that all the original members of Heart were still alive and well and able to enjoy this.
Yeah when the band Blondie was inducted Deborah Harry and the band members that had departed sometime ago couldn't even resolve their differences long enough and be mature enough during the induction ceremony Heart set the example of what two artists and true mature people should be. Even when some members go their separate ways.
Were all the members over the years present?

Seeing Nancy bouncing and kicking around the stage is truly some inspiring stuff
when you're mom is a bad ass guitarist. Nancy always be admired.
Beautiful voice too! They complement each other so well.
Why didn’t Nancy play lead, in the tribute to zeppelin? Why recruit a NOBODY to play lead. If Nancy made it in the top 10 female guitarist, why hire a guitarist to play? Im confused.
even in her 60's Ann's voice hasn't faltered!
I know. Its amazing
U can't deny God's power especially He plant some good pipes, lucky her.
Her voice was fantastic the first time I heard it in the mid 70's and still is to this day ... !
To me, she is more BEAUTIFUL than when she was younger. There will never be a girl that will ever be able to top her, IMHO!
That is truly amazing.
Nobody is more deserving to be in the rock and roll hall of fame. They are so unique and so talented. I love heart.
True fucking story
Still crushing on the Wilson sisters after 45 years... Not sorry.
Same here!!

THAT SIGNATURE NANCY KICK!
YUP
YEAH JUST GOTTA LOVE IT
Ever watch the video for "Never"?
So super retro, with 80s big hair & shoulder pads and that... 80s 'sound' (still a really cool song, but almost completely because of Ann's role) but in 1985 for SOME REASON they seemed to hide gorgeous, soulful Ann in the shadows and drug Nancy and say, "now, take your trademark kick thing to other places all over this video"; after that, I think Nancy settled into her much more mellow
...side'kick' role; )
AMAZING
"When I leave this earth, I will look back with great love because I got the chance to sing." Wow, I love how Ann speaks from her heart and I especially love how she loves to sing. One of the greatest voices ever.
unrepeatable raddish ,yeah, but they were great. Their music was,is badass, however, I still think they're saying without saying "for a girl or a woman, they sound awesome." It's called being politically correct. But they are great,as far as their music. I love alot of their songs, because they rock, plus,Ann just sounded beautiful. I guess you have to be a natural music fan. I love those guys you mentioned. The world of music, Rock music, accepts those guys for being great singers and entertainers, and they are (were) RIP Ronnie. Because like they said Ann and Nancy, women were not thought of being rockers, still it's hard, but it's a lot more popular now. Of all the inductees over the past 29 years, Heart held their own the best. They all still play & sound great and act like they’re in their 20s. Loved it.
Anyone here after seeing that Kennedy Center Grand Finale? Just unreal power and talent.
Yup, it was awesome!!
For led zeppelin....amazing
Heart is most definitely in the TOP TEN for Rock and Roll bands. The whole band is very talented but Nancy and Ann are talents we won't ever see again.
Ann has the pipes that puts a spell on your audio senses. Perfection like none other
I love that Roger Fisher was there, and active! One of the all-time underrated guitar players ever! Jerry didn't have to pinch hit!
Totally agree. Rodger was ahead of his time. Extremely inventive and melodic yet never venturing far away from the heart of rock. 👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Yeah what the hell was Cantrell even doing there? Weird.
Powerful band
Ann shouldn't hide that beautiful face with a hat! She's still gorgeous!!
That hat I think was a tribute to the late Led Zep drummer, Jon Bonham! They were deeply influenced by LZ, always do their songs in concert!
@@Irishgal777 Yup that was the signature hat. But hats can be a problem, ask Dwight Yoakum or any country singer.
Borrowed hat from drummer?
Emma Burney the drummer didn’t wear a hat like that. John Bonham did. If you are referring to the drummer that played with heart for the led peopling special, that was Jason Bonham, Johns son
She was the most gorgeous thing I ever saw when I was young too : )
Nancy jumping around the stage like she's forty years younger. Love her rock and roll energy. Even as they age their voices are clear and young when some musicians voices fade as they age.
The Wilsons are both incredible performers. Ann with a voice up there with Freddy Mercury piercing the soul. Nancy making the acoustic a lead instrument in a HARD rock song all the while looking like she's having the time of her life. Few bands match Heart.
ANN WILSON & NANCY - "THE QUEEN'S of ROCK"
Ann Wilson sounds every bit as perfect live as she does on record.
God Bless you Chris Cornell. You were awesome.

The Wilson sisters are in a class all their own. I'm a life long fan,I love them, their stories and their music. It just doesn't get any better.
Feel blessed to have seen them live in the early 80s. Iconic and still rocking!
Heart with ZZ Top was my first concert in Vancouver at 14. I MUST see Ann and Nancy again soon.
I wish that I could have seen them.
Saw them they came out in the 70’s at San Diego sports arena. OMG! But then saw them again in Indio, California in the 2010’s! Voices still perfect !!
From the smooth start to Nancy's kick into the 'harshness'... it gives me absolute chills. She's definitely one of the absolute best guitarists of the last millennium
I dont care what haters may say about heart!! one thing I can say for sure!!! What rock singer at Ann's age can still sound like she is in her 20's??? Every one looses their voice over the years but she still absolutely kills it just like back in the 70's!! and Nancy... omg... plays guitar like no other!! so please stop with the crap comments cause they deserve it to be there!!!
I guess the only one deaf here its you my friend... clearly she still can sing just like in the 70's!! Search for their 70's music videos and compare it! also they have other recent videos and they are still making alot money in tours so..... dont be gelous...

It never gets old fro me. She is just a fantastic singer and her performance at the 2013 awards proves it. I am also a HUGE PB fan as well per your username
+PatBenatarRulz I have also watched it an embarrassing amount of times. Because, Led Zepplen was the 1st concert I ever saw,(age 14),& I still love their music! Then I started to follow Heart when I was 19 in the 80's. They were very inspirational to us then YOUNG women. We were all very impressed with the fact that 2 WOMEN appeared to run the show. Not until now, did I care about the rest of the band, & to me it was 'THE CHICKS' who made them SO 'COOL'!
I was too young when Zeppelin was touring. Oh how I wish I could have seen them live.
I saw the "Page/Plant" tour in 98 in KC and it was like a dream come true. I was a in HS when "In through the out door" was released so I missed most of their carrier.
I am from the MTV music generation with bands like VH, Pat Benatar, AC/DC, etc. It was a older coworker who told me about the concert and we went together. Now I need to see the Who's 50th Concert Tour.

They carved the path for others, including Chris.
As impressive as all following lineups were, this original line up was the band at its best. Best songs. Best riffs. Timeless music. Heart without Roger Fisher is like The Eagles without Don Felder. Fisher really knew what to play where to take each song to the next level. He was an integral part of making those early albums and songs what they were. That sound and musical personality that the band had is lost to time with no return, but the recordings stand and the new lineups have done the old songs justice. Will anyone pick up the torch? I hope so.

The Wilson sisters deserve every accolade that comes their way. Anyone not completely pleased with their speeches at the RRHOF needs to remember they're musicians, not politicians or motivational speakers. They've given us 40 years (!) of great rock music, done it with class, and crushed some very entrenched social norms along the way. They are truly inspiring -- and still damn great to listen to.

I love Heart and love pretty much all music but during Nancy's Public service announcement, I FF to the music. This just sparked a debate between my wife and I. I don't believe their was some conspiracy with men to keep women rockers down. I think rock music, especially hard rock just didn't interest young women as much as other Genre's of music just like their aren't many women plumbers out there.
