Thank you Heart for providing the opportunity for my girls to witness not only some of the greatest rock bands of all time, but witness 2 bad ass, revolutionary sisters the world has ever known. ❤❤❤❤
Hi Dmitry! Tina has been refered to as the queen of rock for many years now, ( one source to check would be wikipedia) I stand by my comment and would go on to say that yes, she is a legend in the Soul and R&B genres as well. Dude.
kootenay womon I still don't consider Tina Turner to be a Rock singer, although she has done some Rock-oriented songs - I grew up listening to Rock radio in the 70's and 80's, and they didn't play any Tina Turner, dude. But they sure played Heart all the time.
They never got enough credit. Ann Wilson's vocal strength is one of epic proportions. Her range overall is still there. Nancy flat out, one of the most talented guitarists in R-n-R history. Epic band, love them!!!!!!
+Classic Rock No, it does not. Still good, but not better, or as good as when she was in her 20's and 30's. Reality. It is nature. Not a knock on her singing it happens to virtually everyone.
Of all the inductees over the past 29 years, Heart held their own the best. They all still play & sound great and act like they’re in their 20s. Loved it.
From the smooth start to Nancy's kick into the 'harshness'... it gives me absolute chills. She's definitely one of the absolute best guitarists of the last millennium
No doubt about it, Heart was part of the seventies rock and roll decade that I was so lucky to grow up with these amazing bands. Best rock and roll female singers, ever. Listening to the Kennedy Honors with them singing Stairway to Heaven gave me goose bumps. No one could have mastered that song better. No one. I can listen to Dog and Butterfly and cry every time. Thank you Heart for making my life more enjoyable!
Anne's voice is larger than life. It is her vocals that attracted me to heart from the first time I heart Dog and Butterfly Album. One of the iconic voices of our generation of music. Listen to her sing stairway to heaven at the Led Zeppelin Honors and you will be amazed. Made me weep.
It never gets old fro me. She is just a fantastic singer and her performance at the 2013 awards proves it. I am also a HUGE PB fan as well per your username
+PatBenatarRulz I have also watched it an embarrassing amount of times. Because, Led Zepplen was the 1st concert I ever saw,(age 14),& I still love their music! Then I started to follow Heart when I was 19 in the 80's. They were very inspirational to us then YOUNG women. We were all very impressed with the fact that 2 WOMEN appeared to run the show. Not until now, did I care about the rest of the band, & to me it was 'THE CHICKS' who made them SO 'COOL'!
I saw the "Page/Plant" tour in 98 in KC and it was like a dream come true. I was a in HS when "In through the out door" was released so I missed most of their carrier. I am from the MTV music generation with bands like VH, Pat Benatar, AC/DC, etc. It was a older coworker who told me about the concert and we went together. Now I need to see the Who's 50th Concert Tour.
That was fantastic! They are timeless ❤. Hard to believe Chris Cornell & Tom Petty who are seen in this clip have both passed away. Cherish those who are still rocking! 🙏🏻
RIP Chris Cornell 1:52 and Tom Petty 16:48, both present to honor this fantastic group Heart. I've met the Wilson sisters, they played a fantastic show and Ann brought her daughter, a fairly rockin girl herself. Good people and great musicians. Crazy On You is one of the best rock songs out there and they rocked it on this stage, great to watch.
Their talent staggers me; no one sings it like Ann, and Nancy plays that guitar like it’s a part of her. God blessed them with incredible talent, and they in turn blessed us by sharing it with us. Thank you ladies, for giving us your music. ♥️
Here I am a young boy growing up with the music my sister's liked and I seem to recall the Album Dream boat Annie, and I started listening to it and fell in love with the music of the Band Heart, I've never stopped seeing them in concert or buying their music. To see them in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is a Dream that finally came true for them, WELL DONE ANN & NANCY WILSON!!!!!!!
I dont care what haters may say about heart!! one thing I can say for sure!!! What rock singer at Ann's age can still sound like she is in her 20's??? Every one looses their voice over the years but she still absolutely kills it just like back in the 70's!! and Nancy... omg... plays guitar like no other!! so please stop with the crap comments cause they deserve it to be there!!!
I guess the only one deaf here its you my friend... clearly she still can sing just like in the 70's!! Search for their 70's music videos and compare it! also they have other recent videos and they are still making alot money in tours so..... dont be gelous...
I'm a genius musican who can recognize good musicians and I honor the musicans from the past cause they were here before me and you and they are still making a living out of music! Even if they were bad why so much disrespect?? Have some manners people.

Do you really think I give a flying fuck of what you two idiots think about me or the band heart!? Im sucessful with what I do so are they!! So go live your pathetic lifes and go make stupid comments someother places cause idgaf!
Diego Santos Wtf? I was defending Heart, dude, and I didn't say shit about you - why are you calling me an idiot and a loser? And learn how to fucking spell - I highly doubt that you're successful at anything if you can't even spell 3rd grade words like "loser" correctly. Talk about uneducated.
We'll never know how many more classic albums Heart could have cranked out with the original lineup, but Dreamboat Annie, Magazine, Little Queen, and Dog and Butterfly will forever be timeless works of art.
Nancy jumping around the stage like she's forty years younger. Love her rock and roll energy. Even as they age their voices are clear and young when some musicians voices fade as they age.
The Wilsons are both incredible performers. Ann with a voice up there with Freddy Mercury piercing the soul. Nancy making the acoustic a lead instrument in a HARD rock song all the while looking like she's having the time of her life. Few bands match Heart.
After 40 years. Yes it's been that long. I still love the symphony that is Heart. Their music brings me back to some of the defining moments of my life. Thank you to the entire Band. You guys made my Hall of Fame years ago
Add to that the fact that he's playing lead without a pick, I mean I learned how to play guitar without a pick but I don't know if I could go back and play lead without a pick now... reminds me of watching mark knopfler play guitar
Why didn’t Nancy play lead, in the tribute to zeppelin? Why recruit a NOBODY to play lead. If Nancy made it in the top 10 female guitarist, why hire a guitarist to play? Im confused.
My Ann and Nancy, my gosh the hours I spent listening and singing to their albums in my room as a teen. Ann's voice, nothing like it. Crazy on you.. the song that started it all for me ❤️
Ann and Nancy are the epitome of amazing rock talent, across decades and genres. Best voices, best acoustic, best harmonies. Also, no one plays the electric part of this song as well as Roger Fisher.
Roger Fisher is one with that guitar and he really deserves some credit when it comes to playing some great music. Like Ann, it's definitely obvious he loves what he does. I love watching him and Nancy and their movements while playing. This performance was very, very special and just perfect!
@@marguskiis7711 JUST read an interview from 6 years ago (2012) someone did with Roger (right before coming here). Although Nancy joined after Ann and Roger, he certainly didn't agree with you that she was a decoration. He and Nancy had a thing (his brother Mike was with Ann around the same time, and the subject of 'Magic Man'), then later Roger cheated on Nancy. Ann found out and called for a vote and Roger was out. He credits that vote with saving his life, and getting him back to where he wanted to be musically too (although he cherishes his time in the group; he even said he and Ann e-mail each other sometimes).
margus kiis Nancy wrote a lot of the songs with Ann even in the early years. To prove to the guys that she was worthy of joining the band she had to learn and perform live a song called The Clap, a masterpiece written by Steve Howe. I'd say that makes her more than just decoration.
Nancy has always been more than a decoration. Her and the guitar plus the writing and singing and Heart’s very first number one song was from Nancy singing lead. Go figure. Way more than a decoration.
I lived in a rough and tomble Cole mining town w/ 4 brothers and a dad with ptsd from Korea. Mom split! This band made my little girl life -blast off. What a help!! Thank you! /
Heart showed all the boys that women could rock with the best of them. They are the best. Not just the best female rockers. Simply the best rockers of all time !!!
Like when I heard her voice back in the day, blown away with "that"voice, omg have all their music goodness just to have had the privilege of listening to them for all my life, yes thank you
From those speeches to this song is quite the transition. From the way Nancy spoke with glasses on you normal wouldnt expect her to go full throttle on the guitar with the leg kick and all. It was awesome!! All of them all super charged into Crazy on You!!
The Wilson sisters deserve every accolade that comes their way. Anyone not completely pleased with their speeches at the RRHOF needs to remember they're musicians, not politicians or motivational speakers. They've given us 40 years (!) of great rock music, done it with class, and crushed some very entrenched social norms along the way. They are truly inspiring -- and still damn great to listen to.
I love Heart and love pretty much all music but during Nancy's Public service announcement, I FF to the music. This just sparked a debate between my wife and I. I don't believe their was some conspiracy with men to keep women rockers down. I think rock music, especially hard rock just didn't interest young women as much as other Genre's of music just like their aren't many women plumbers out there. My wife believes their was a barrier by men and by society in general to keep women from pursuing a career in a hard rock band.
Sure, Chris was reading a prompter, but I believe with al of my heart, he meant every word. Heart was such an amazing band. They carved the path for others, including Chris.
As impressive as all following lineups were, this original line up was the band at its best. Best songs. Best riffs. Timeless music. Heart without Roger Fisher is like The Eagles without Don Felder. Fisher really knew what to play where to take each song to the next level. He was an integral part of making those early albums and songs what they were. That sound and musical personality that the band had is lost to time with no return, but the recordings stand and the new lineups have done the old songs justice. Will anyone pick up the torch? I hope so.
Heart was my fav band " back in the day". Lucky to see them twice in concert. To me the original group will always be the best lineup. Mike Derosier rocks!
Once the band kicks into 'Crazy On You' we are reminded of just what a tight unit these players were. I've heard numerous (i.e., many, many) takes of this tune with various Heart lineups, and I think it's safe to say that this, the original line-up - even after all these years apart - does it best. And great sound! Whoever did the audio engineering should be doing it for the Grammys and other major TV music shows.
Ann Wilson is unbelievable- the only true competition , maybe Janis, and Nancy plays so hard and perfect, and the whole Band is perfect. I think they are the most underated superstars in the business. So very unique and talented.
It marvels me that there are 340 people in the world at the time of this comment that voted thumbs down and I can't begin to wonder why - insanity maybe, jealousy perhaps? Well, in any case I first heard these wondrous creatures when I was 10 years old in 77. And it's been a love affair of amazement and gratefulness that at that moment in time, in all of human history not only I, but countless others had the great fortune to hear these two lovely sisters smash down the walls of rock. Thank you, Ann & Nancy Wilson for your talent, your courage, and your ass kickin' music!
In 2019 I took my best friend to see them. They STILL sounded as powerful as this video and this was in 2013. Absolutely increadble! I love this band so much! Joan Jett was with this tour and truly was one of the best days of my life. I can not see them slowing down anytime soon. If anyone can ever have the chance to see them, it's well worth it! I hope to see them again one day.
The Wilson sisters didn't prove they're great female rock n' rollers! They proved they're great rock n' rollers PERIOD!
Ann Wilson, in my opinion, is the greatest female vocalist of all time!

Damn that guitar intro. Nancy is such an amazing guitar player! One of the best there is, man or woman.
ALMOST MAKES ME CRY - SEEING THE ORIGINAL BAND PLAYING TOGETHER. I FIRST SAW HEART IN 1978 AND IT WAS A NIGHT I WILL NEVER FORGET!!! KEEP ROCKIN' ANN & NANCY AND GUYS!!! LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!!
The entire band was on fire! Would love a full reunion. Way way better than I expected. And damn, Nancy does not age.
Just booked 8 tickets to Heart here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My youngest 1st ever live rock and music concert, here big sister will be her 2nd. Metallica being her 1st. Thank you Heart for providing the opportunity for my girls to witness not only some of the greatest rock bands of all time, but witness 2 bad ass, revolutionary sisters the world has ever known. ❤❤❤❤
The Wilson sisters are in a class all their own. I'm a life long fan,I love them, their stories and their music. It just doesn't get any better.
1975 let that sink in, Crazy On You came out 45 years ago and still rocks as hard as anything today.
Greatest female lead singer band of all time!!!
You got ANN!!! QUEEN OF ROCK XOXO
victoria gabriel
I adore Ann Wilson but I'm sorry, Tina Turner is The Queen of Rock.
kootenay womon Tina Turner sings Soul and R&B, dude - not Rock.
I'm 62 and feel so blessed to grow up in the best music years ever! I love it when I see teenagers listening to the same songs I did.
58 and amen to that!!!
57 and another Amen to that!
They never got enough credit. Ann Wilson's vocal strength is one of epic proportions. Her range overall is still there. Nancy flat out, one of the most talented guitarists in R-n-R history. Epic band, love them!!!!!!
" Nancy flat out, one of the most talented guitarists in R-n-R history. " Not really.
Ann's voice just gets better with age!! Incredible power!! Goosebumps galore!!
+Classic Rock No, it does not. Still good, but not better, or as good as when she was in her 20's and 30's. Reality. It is nature. Not a knock on her singing it happens to virtually everyone.
Are you dumb?
I love the fearlessness of Ann's vocals. To the edge of breaking up with confidence. It makes it real. She has an amazing instrument.
+Craig D I watched/listened to it on repeat abt a 100 times.
I was too young when Zeppelin was touring. Oh how I wish I could have seen them live.
Ann has the pipes that puts a spell on your audio senses. Perfection like none other
Feel blessed to have seen them live in the early 80s. Iconic and still rocking!
Heart with ZZ Top was my first concert in Vancouver at 14. I MUST see Ann and Nancy again soon.
I wish that I could have seen them.
Saw them they came out in the 70’s at San Diego sports arena. OMG! But then saw them again in Indio, California in the 2010’s! Voices still perfect !!
Ann and Nancy Wilson are undoubtedly two of the greatest acts I have ever seen. That intro by Chris was flawless. Miss him everyday.
These 2 women are goddesses...they've been blessed with the MOST beautiful voices and talent. I loved them when I was a child and still do today.
I guess the men in the band weren't shit. Feminism sucks.
And the guys are still sex object no mater how old they are, especially Roger, but I do love them all equally.
Ann has a much stronger voice. But someone should have had the balls to take that hat away from her.
Seeing Nancy bouncing and kicking around the stage is truly some inspiring stuff
That was fantastic! They are timeless ❤. Hard to believe Chris Cornell & Tom Petty who are seen in this clip have both passed away. Cherish those who are still rocking! 🙏🏻
I love that Roger Fisher was there, and active! One of the all-time underrated guitar players ever! Jerry didn't have to pinch hit!
Totally agree. Rodger was ahead of his time. Extremely inventive and melodic yet never venturing far away from the heart of rock. 👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Yeah what the hell was Cantrell even doing there? Weird.
Powerful band
@@Dhjmaswas an arrangement 😊
Great speeches, great songs, great performance. Heart is massively underrated. They still sound incredible, this performance was epic
These two beautiful, talented and legendary women deserve this honor so much! ❤
RIP Chris and Tom. Miss you both dearly.
And now Neil Peart too 😥
My two idols chris and john mayer 🤘
I cannot imagine a world without Ann and Nancy Wilson. I have been a fan since their first release and I am still amazed at their abilities.
Ronald Fry
Journey send her my love
No one better. I would love to be as cool as Heart.
Roger Fisher, you are a huge inspiration to me, and will forever be my favourite member of Heart. Total respect. Love you, Roger! 🎸🤘🏻💗
Breathtaking. What a performance. And what a great speech by Chris Cornell.
It was a beautiful thing seeing the classic band together. Sounding amazing.
***** Meanwhile, there's trolling losers like you who have never accomplished anything great or substantial in their miserable lives - that's much better, right? Ha!
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
you uneducated fools makes me laugh!! I feel sooo sorrrry for sore loosers like you that are gelous of successful people.
Just an awesome band and pair of sisters. Loved their stuff when it was new and still love it today. Thanks you guys...:)
So appropriate to hear CC sing their much deserved praises. The best speaking about the best.
What a beautiful tribute👍👍, RIP Chris Cornell ❤️
What. Chris Cornell died.this is the first I'm hearing about this
@@serafpano8488 he's been dead for 3 years man.
He seemed and I’m sure he was such a sweetheart of a guy
The Wilson sisters' voices alone will blow you right off the map.
Like the Wilson Brothers ( Beach Boys). There’s something in a name
@@mrsmacca126 Yep. I agree.
Still crushing on the Wilson sisters after 45 years... Not sorry.
Same here!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏
The ONLY band that can cover Zepplin.
C. E. Anderson Espcially in front of god damn Zepplin
@@dansytsang3412 haha So fucking true
Ann can still wail the high notes. Nailed Battle for Evermore. Her voice just amazing
They did zeppelin live better than zeppelin did. Astonishing
C. E. Anderson 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯😎
dig how Roger Fisher gets into it. No matter what may have passed between them over the years he respects and loves the music they did together.
For real. Shows such class
he's a little over the top...but, a great guitar player
Add to that the fact that he's playing lead without a pick, I mean I learned how to play guitar without a pick but I don't know if I could go back and play lead without a pick now... reminds me of watching mark knopfler play guitar
@@jeffnorthcutt7899 maybe that's why you aren't in the RRHOF....lol
@@nicestrat Ouch.
when you're mom is a bad ass guitarist. Nancy always be admired.
Beautiful voice too! They complement each other so well.
Why didn’t Nancy play lead, in the tribute to zeppelin? Why recruit a NOBODY to play lead. If Nancy made it in the top 10 female guitarist, why hire a guitarist to play? Im confused.
Love her Crazy On You, and her covering for the Led Zeppelin tribute at Kennedy Center, Stairway to Heaven. Operatic!!!
That original Heart line-up was amazing. So fortunate to have seen them back in the day.
My Ann and Nancy, my gosh the hours I spent listening and singing to their albums in my room as a teen. Ann's voice, nothing like it. Crazy on you.. the song that started it all for me ❤️
And Dreamboat Annie - especially with the flute ending by Anne! Totally killer!
Same here, spent my freshman year in college ('76) wearing the "Dreamboat Annie" out...
Think of all the guys who used to stroke their meat to mid-70's Ann (and 70's, 80's, & 90's Nancy) .... too many bon-bons for Ann!
@@watchmanonthewall667 Me too, but in 1987. No one else in my dorm was playing it then, but they all knew that album because of me :0)
@@edcollins9377 gross and insulting comment.
Ann and Roger were the nucleus of original, the real Heart. Nancy was just decorative element.
@Margus Don't forget Steve Fossen. He and Roger started the whole thing back in the mid '60's.
Nancy has always been more than a decoration. Her and the guitar plus the writing and singing and Heart’s very first number one song was from Nancy singing lead. Go figure. Way more than a decoration.
Epic performance. 40 years to date & sounds as good as ever. WOW
I lived in a rough and tomble Cole mining town w/ 4 brothers and a dad with ptsd from Korea. Mom split! This band made my little girl life -blast off. What a help!! Thank you!

"A force of nature" is a very good way to describe Ann & Nancy's voices, especially when they harmonize.
👍✌❤
They seriously BLEW ME AWAY,!
Great performance and great band too
Heart showed all the boys that women could rock with the best of them. They are the best. Not just the best female rockers. Simply the best rockers of all time !!!
I agree, can't get enough of them! They tear my heart out when I don't think I have one to take.
I disagree. Look up a band called Fanny.

Like when I heard her voice back in the day, blown away with "that"voice, omg have all their music goodness just to have had the privilege of listening to them for all my life, yes thank you
Glad to see the great Roger Fisher take his 'rightful' place in the hall of fame as an 'undeniable' important part of this band!.
From those speeches to this song is quite the transition. From the way Nancy spoke with glasses on you normal wouldnt expect her to go full throttle on the guitar with the leg kick and all. It was awesome!! All of them all super charged into Crazy on You!!
The great Ann Wilson. She still sounds like she did when I first heard her at the dawn of MTV!
The greatest women rock band ever
Man that womans voice sends chills all over my body!!!
No doubt; watch their mid-70s "top of the pops" video/performance of that song though, wow!
Here-Here!
Indeed!
Hear-Hear !
@@enumrob Joan here. Your wife is right.
Amazing and I am blessed to have been a fan of Heart since the very beginning!
Bliss
Just an EPIC group of musicians. After all this time they came together and KILLED it.
I got chills watching this with their lineup from the 70s performing together once again. Best rock band ever in my opinion.
