We run the same machine. On our second one. The first one ... had to replace the seals on both hydro pumps and replace the muffler twice. The muffler kept breaking where the down pipe connected. All was covered under warranty. Other than those issues, they have been great machines!!
My company uses Ferris mowers. We have 2 61" one is a Z700 and the other is a Z2100, 72" Z3200 and the Z2. The Z2 is a beast. Great on slopes. We had a belt and pulley brake on the 72" so far. The Z2 has been great so far. I would definitely recommend
Love my Z2! Just turned 200 hours on mine. Have just done general maintenance to it blades oil and filter. Best stander on the market hands down. Gas gauge is kinda weird. But I just check it everytime I turn the key. Also have the grass flap. Another great addition.
I have a 52 inch z2, I see comments on here about the dealer. DON’T use Markham or New Market mower in Ontario, they sold me the z2 without even PDIing it = no hydro gear oil, couldn’t raise or lower the deck, PTO wouldn’t engage etc etc. Then they tried to say it was all working when it left, meanwhile it had zero hours on it when I was talking to them, but they did tell me to go buy some hydro gear oil and put it into the reservoir, For the mower itself, it is a great mower, cuts well, stripes well, great on the hills, and comfortable to ride. I have had no other issues in the 6 months that I’ve owned it.

My first stander, I’ve had it 4 days and I’m still getting a feel for it but I’m excited for the rest of the mowing season. Just got my grass flap for it today I’m going to install this week. This mower may just change my preferred brand from Scag to Ferris, we will see! Lol

I am super psyched to ride all summer on a practically new machine for 5,000. A great buy for me this year. I will outfit it with the 6.2 cu. ft. said bagger. I have been drooling over Ferris for a number of years now.
I love my 36 inch walk behind with land shark sulky. 140 hours this and last season but side business. I just added a led light on it. I load it on my full size truck
We have a z2 with 650 hrs on it and still love it. Has the original tires on it. Just had to order a set for it. Pretty much same minor issues as you have had.

I am looking at the Z1 & Z2. One big issue I see is the Z1 platform is WAY too tight for me to the point that it hurts my knees. Have you experienced the same thing?
We love our Ferris mowers. Currently have a Z2 and Z3X. Both are beasts and cut like butter. The only issue I have is with the gas gauge. Wish it had better visibility otherwise no issues.
I’ve had the same issue seals on both hydros and then both hydros replaced. Ferris covered it as they all have this issue. I have 1200 hrs on mine and I have broke the belt also. The hydro springs were also an issue. They don’t break they fall off. We found ours many times. There is a little bar that separates that spring. The metal pieces bypass this bar which takes the tension off the spring and it falls off.
Ferris is a great mower. I have 3 ferris mowers myself. My newest ferris mower is 3200 series and it has the 72 inch cut with the 37hp efi big block Briggs and stration on it and it is a bad ass mower. Great video on your ferris mower
I love how the Kawi gets so glossed over "yeah it's a kawasaki, of course it's solid". Good stuff. How steep can the front go up for loading/unloading before the back touches down?
Nice mower I filled out the Ferris demo form about a week or two and still no call back they seem nice I really need a 32” mower stand on bunch of gated yards. I have a great Wright dealer 8 minutes from my house.
Pulling a part off a new mower to fix your mower when they didn't have that particular part in stock, that's the way you do business. I wish the place where i buy my equipment from would do that.
Something that we have to do a lot, but frowned upon big time is pop commercial curbs.... would it do that? And how is it on hills? Two things that the fw35 is a total Genius at!!!

Love my z2, after 300 hours my tires are shot but I use mine to blow off with so a lot of concrete time and turning with one hand. Well worth saving blow off time to buy new tires more frequently.
zepplin810 I couldn’t agree more! The asphalt/concrete time will destroy them but if it saves you time everyday it’s well worth it! We use ours to blow off our larger places but that’s mostly just straight shots

I have the same one but with the oil guard. Love it. 75 hours. Question; do you engage the blades at full throttle and are your pulleys loose at all. How often do you grease the spindles? Ok two questions. Lol.

Love Ferris! Just upgraded to a 52" Z2 with a 28 vanguard oil guard EFI for the 2019 season! Does yours have a stripe kit on it? All my previous Ferris mowers had a flap on the deck but I noticed today the Z2 doesnt.

Taylee Moua I just demo one today the SRS Z1 36" with a mulching kit awesome cut and super clean underneath the deck after cutting 17 properties. Is ease on the legs and hand compare to Wright mower stand on mower.

Just bought a 61 inch z3x. The thing is a monster.
Got a 52’, and 61”. 475 hrs. on 61”. Had problem with transmission leak, but fixed under recall. 52” with 367hrs. No issues! No other problems so far!

Ohh yeah! Kawi is where it’s at! It can go pretty steep. Just have to feel it as your going 👍🏼

I also broke the height adjust lever. It snapped. To fix the height problem but another pin in the top position so it won’t click up.

I have 800 hrs on mine. One hydro replaced at 375 hrs and one with the leak. Also the spring issue on both. I also broke the drivebelt at 600 hrs

Michael Strout I engage the blades at 3/4 to full throttle. I grease it all everyday we mow all day. 2x per week
I believe manual says to engage and dis engage blades at low idle, I engage my blades at the slowest rpm I can without killing the engine.
