    Just bought a Z1 and a Z3X and I’m really impressed with both machines. Transferred to stand up and seems like a great choice. Cut’s better than my diesel John Deere.

    I have a pr of z2's. The 61 is great but the 52 likes to scalp. If i was to go to a z3 it would be with the 52 but i just don't see the need for that big engine. The efi 28 is much more efficient and for me has plenty of reserve. I cut a puzzle matt and put it on the platform, keeps my feet from neuropathy. I replaced the intake bonnet with one from engine aire. Extends air filter life 10x. I installed a chainsaw scabbard on the right frame i stick a limb saw and pickup tool in the scabbard. I installed an inch and a quarter receiver hitch on the rear for whatever i need to pull, eco spreader, roller, chainlink drag, etc. The only thing i put on the front is a dethatcher then i can catch the grass in one pass. Stay safe out there

      Nice man, Personally I like the 37 hp motor it is a little fuel hungry at times but weekly yards I very rarely use it full throttle. I’m averaging about 70 to 75 .25 acre yards a week and I probably put 10 to 13 gallons in it a week. It’s not terrible but it doesn’t burn much more gas than you think. My z1 48 last year during the fall when I got up to about 65-70 yards I was putting about 11 gallons in it a week.

    What would you recommend for a 1.5 acre yard in Michigan. Looking at Ferris Z2 or Z3. Not sure which deck size to go with, grade is smooth. Machine will only be used at my house and want to buy a mower that will last the rest of my life. I was thinking the z2 because the yard doesn't have any holes or irregularities. Currently I have a Simplicity Broadmoor that's 27 years old and getting tired. I keep all my machines in the garage. Thank you for your thoughts. That Z3 you have is one heck of a machine without doubt! Very nice indeed.

      @John D. Honestly both are great machines and will last a long time if taken care of like all Ferris machine’s. Personally what I would do if your %100 wanting a stand on is go with a Z3X with a 61 or 72 inch deck as long as you don’t have to worry about many tight places or obstacles. The Z2 no doubt is a great mower but I feel like in Michigan with the rain you guys get a Z3X is just gonna blow through what ever you throw at it and is built like a tank and will handle wet or tall grass better. Keep in mind I’m biased to the Z3X I haven’t ran a Z2 much in every condition that just my opinion based on my experiences and other’s experiences of people I know who own and have ran z2 most wish they went and spent the extra couple Gs on the Z3. Hope this helps

    I got to demo a 52 Z3X the other day. Very impressive and really close to ordering one. 1 issue for me was the platform seemed pretty angled towards the pad and the ride was pretty stiff. I now know there's ways to adjust the platform for a softer ride if you're a lighter operator like me. Have you or could you verify those settings and how much of a difference they made?

    Hey do you by any chance have a video or pictures of stripes with this tweel setup? Ive been thinking of getting a wider wheel on the 52" z3x but don't know how it would effect my stripes

    I just picked up a Ferris Z1 brand new and like it so far. Just found your channel and have 2 questions....Do you have a link to the Front mount Hitch Kit you have on the Z1? And how do you like the ammo box mounted there, and what do you use it for? thanks!

    I tried to find attachments compatible with that hitch but can’t seem to find any. Do you happen to have a website for attachments?

    What is the attachment / hitch on the front?

    • @thelawncarelegend1167
      @thelawncarelegend1167  2 года назад

      It allows me to move my utility trailer if I need to. Also you can get all sorts of attachments to use with it that I will probably invest in in the future. Also protects the mower a little bit.
