Great job showing and telling, cause I ordered a Z3X I am 66 years older. so I know I’ll love my Z3X cause I have never had a zero turn be my first. I love working a mower and I got 5 of them, restoring them got one done now working on number two big job. rebuilding motor and the body all apart, putting it back together hard job. Painting it getting rust off it’s a job, well GOD BLESS You showing telling have a good one see ya next time see ya bye.
Thank you. I always appreciate how someone is willing to take so much time to help others. These videos provide a lot of value to the community, Kudos to you David, you too are a great American.
Finally got my z3x 52” brotha! Whew, quite a different animal from my little gate mower the Z1 36” lol! Just made some lines on her yesterday for the first time really, seems super stiff compared to my mini but it’s not broken in yet I guess
New subscriber, and a Ferris fanboy! I have a 52” Z3X, and 61” Z3X! Watched your videos when I first got my Z2’s! You was the only game in town on RUclips on them. Loved the Z2’s, and like you upgraded to the Z3’s.
@@toddbenfield6546 good to hear. I am just going to send it and got the machine. got lucky to get it half price with 200 hours from dealer, demo model. Some people say the 2 is better but if there's at least a discussion, I'll go with the bigger 61 z3 with better deck lift device and hope she works fine. Thank you!
@@toddbenfield6546 Sweeet. Thanks for the comment on 2 v 3. First legit mower. I am actually excited lol. Would have never thought that would be the case, but I do like the tech on these $12k 37HP animalshaha. Never did any regular commercial mowing except my house takes 45m on a Z and a friends took 25m when I used to do that.
Nice review, being an older guy, do your legs bother you at all. I have the z2 and is3100. Would like the z3 space on trailer, but my legs tell me im heading for a 2nd sit down mower. Do your legs bother you and what do you combat that with. Thank you.
As of now my legs do not bother me. The longest lawn I mow is 30-40 min. One reason I started using the stander was my back. The chiropractor said the sitting is what was bothering my back.
Ok thanks, also thank you for sharing Christ in your Easter vid, I enjoy a few customers that we can actually talk spiritual items, and it's refreshing to have some actually living/walking the talk, and mean it, and not living in sqauller, but very successful in life, material and family. God Bless
Thank you for the review. I have a Ferris z1 36” with 23hp vanguard. 500hrs so far I love it. My question is do you notice any more rutting with the z3? According to the specs that 61” z3 is 3-400 pounds heavier.
deck lift is easier on 3, difficult on 2. better hydros last longer and do better on hills, but is 250# heavier but may be fine. the 2 climbed like a goat, the 3 i am buying with out trying
I just bought a Z3X, its my first stander, Ive always owned walk behinds Kees, Scag and Exmark I had hoped the Z3X would replace a walk behind but it will not, nothing is as good on slopes as a walk behind, dont get me wrong I am liking the stander just not as versatile as a walk behind, also learned it has zero traction when its facing down hill, big learning curve for me
@@DavidFDay thanks David, but ive been trying starting at the bottom of a slope and making my lines across. obtw I read in the manual they dont suggest a slope of over 17% which is very minimal, I guess its a liability thing.
@@thomasthesing7452 I have held a hill that goes to a 45 degree angle at its worst point. Probably for legal reasons. I feel especially safe on 35 degrees or less.
Hey bossman I gotta admit your frozen pic title of this video you look exactly like the wrestler Scott Steiner these days lol. He’s the man btw. So that makes you cool by default, plus you run Ferris standers so that makes you even cooler man. Ima check out your video now but just had to tell ya that
Nice comparison! I watched your older video's a while back when you first got your Z2. Watching your video's on that mower convinced me to buy the Z2 for myself. It is definitely a fine machine. I also have the 37hp efi with Oil Guard on my 3200Z and I love it as well. I hear they are coming out with some new stuff on the Z2 for next year. Are you going to the GIE this year?

Good video! Good decision on running the non-ethanol gas in your equipment!
I have. Z1 and I completely agree with you on the grips being bigger.
Nice drone footage! I love our z3 living in the mountains. We have vids that the boss goes straight up a hill and it doesn’t pop up one bit.
Dave great video, I am glad I bought the Z3 52 inch it comes in the mail tomorrow, Thks 👍👍👍

good to hear. Is the 3 as good on hills, considering the weight? going to pick up one 300 miles away... thanks

If you use a Z3X, you’ll never ride a Z2 again! I got a Z2 on a deal,after owning Z3’s, and sold it a week later, and bought a Z3X👍

No I do not notice any difference
Is the Z3 platform bigger than the Z2 platform? If so please reply with the measurement difference. Thank you for the great video

Wow at first I thought they were Ferraris. There some nice mowers.
What would be the recommended gas to run?
I always ran non ethanol 90-93 octane

I’ve found that before I start the down hill come to a complete stop then ease into it.

The pivot point is that do to the fact the deck is wider on the 61 vs 52
Good video.
Show us all ur dewalt tool
Does it have a pivot on a z3 52?
Yes
