played that game at the same age and I am ngl I still hope that they go back and do another game and i don’t mean RE:R2, I want another game on the queen zenobia idgaf when. Never had a game hit that weird boggy and oceanic horror vibe so well. It always reminded me of a show that came out at the same time, The River, which wasn’t the best but had a fantastic concept in general

@@JRPGLife 🤨 wow really? i got a moded vita with an app called PKGj. i just download any vita, ps1 or psp game from the library. i didn't know they didn't make physical copies of some games. that was a dumb decision. no wonder it got poor sales

@@andersongray9820 makes sense it wasn't in the 3ds version, it wasn't intentional at all and was just a bug with the lighting

It always makes me happy to see soneone bring up one of the Zero Escape games. Idk if I'd call the series horror though, more of a thriller, but they're still some if the best written games of all time.

I've only ever played the DS version of the first game (999), but it was definitely an experience.
I've been waiting for ages to get the free time to just explore VLR and ZTD uninterrupted.
Someday I'll get around to them... I remember my friends couldn't stop me from talking about 999 I loved it that much.😅
if any game in zero escape was horror it defo wouldnt be vlr lol. you could make an argument for either 999 or ztd but like you said its more thriller than horror

I love that you brought up Corpse Party for both consoles! Had a prediction that you would pull up similar releases since the 3DS had a few entries throughout its lifecycle.
The 3ds was my intro to horror games as a kid, so I might be biased there 😅

Well it IS the only Silent Hill option on Vita lol and disregarding how the other games are in the series, it's not a bad dungeon crawler imo

There was a horror game that was only released in Japan even though it was fully playable in English called the game with no name. It was about a haunted DS game that would kill people around the player as they played. It was genuinely scary
I loved playing that game somewhere around highschool!

Lets him play spirit camera but neglected to give him the manual. The game very specifically requires you use the camera function of the 3DS to take shots from the manual to play.

3DS technically had two of the Zero Escape games as well. Meaning, Nintendo had 999, Virtue's Last Reward and Zero Time Dilemma. But I'm a Sony fan and have both PlayStation and Nintendo consoles
Resi Revelations was just incredible on the 3DS. I had both the 3DS and the Xbox360 versions. Comparing them side by side, the graphic fidelity of the 3DS port was just incredible. They even kept the dynamic shdows, on top of being stereoscopic 3D.
By far the most graphicaly impressive 3DS game.
I love Spirit Camera so much with how awesome using the Cursed Memoir was to progress through the story and how you interact with it. However anytime I go into a retro game store and see it, I have to ask the store if they have the booklet, because if they don’t, then they are only selling like a quarter of a game. You are locked out of the story mode completely with the booklet. Only one store I have visited that had it did not have the booklet. Wish Nintendo made another Fatal Frame with the Switch Labo VR Camera peripheral. Missed opportunity.

Book of memories was one of the first games ive ever played, i also loved the screen and "back screen" features
Finally some zero escape appreciation outside of a zero escape community
Demetium was pretty great, especially on the N3DS with the nub, gave me outlast vibes. Playing that game in 3D in the middle of the night with all the lights turned off and a good pair of headphones is truly and experience.
Remember when the game was sent out with revelations spelt “relavations”

Luigi's mansion is scary when you realize Mario is missing. Mario, Luigi's older twin brother, is missing. No one knows where he is or if he's alive. That is terrifying to think about.
I watched the ad for that last one. That was enough horror for one day 😊
Honestly, the final mansion in dark moon has a creepier atmosphere than you'd think
The Vita guy mocking the 3DS guy while holding up A Rose in the Twilight as of that game is any more of a horror game 😂

Luigi's Mansion was really creepy for its time mostly the atmosphere.
not really a “horror game”, but resident evil mercenaries 3d is super fun and looks surprisingly good for an early 3ds game. and it honestly makes me wonder if they could’ve ported re4 to the 3ds.
Maybe they could have but it would have looked terrible. They ported dragon quest 8, which was a ps2 game with cartoony graphics and the downgrade was noticeable. Re 4 with the realistic graphics would have probably looked like a ps 1 game on 3ds
@@brotbrotsen1100 true, but dragon quest 8 is a 60+ hour long rpg, and with a game that long they definitely would have had to limit the graphics quite a bit.
plus the 3ds port of metal gear solid 3 was pretty decent looking and that had realistic graphics (though the framerate wasn’t amazing)

Look, playing Luigi’s Mansion as an adult doesn’t have the same horror feeling then playing it as a Kid, especially when you’re playing it for the first time.
I just recently fixed a one piece 3ds at work a couple weeks ago. Its cool to see another out there.
