Jesse moved to (I think Florida?) and was in at least one band. Maybe more. And I think Jesse also helped the Florida ska scene to thrive and I think had something to do with promoting Reel Big Fish, helping them to momentarily push into the mainstream. I’m too lazy to fact check myself so all of this may be incorrect.

This is the first time since 2006 I think they played as kinda Op Ivy. Jesse sung two songs with Rancid in 2006.
Also, every fan of Op Ivy should check out Jesse's new band, Classics of Love. It's great!

This was truly epic. I know that it'll never happen, but I really wish all 4 guys from Op Ivy could, and would, get together and play a gig together again, just 1 more, and even put it onto RUclips for people that couldn't be there in person. I, unfortunately, didn't learn of Op Ivy until 1993 when a friend let me borrow a cassette (yes, that was a real thing back a hundred years ago!) of Rancid's debut album. After I dug it, he then rushed me to listen to the 27 song Op Ivy cassette, and of course it blew me away! Being a 13yo (or 14yo) at the time in 1993, those 27 songs changed my life. Pretty soon after that, I went out and bought it for myself, but on CD, and have always kept a copy of that masterpiece of music in my collection. I remember when it was remastered and reissued way back in 2007 (I believe it was)...I jumped on a copy of that as well. A lot of time has passed, and I may be getting ready to turn 43yo in a few months, but I still love that band and the small amount of music they made in just the few years that they played and made music together. Takes me back to better years, and times. Here's to the past...🍻

Yes!!! So unexpected after all these decades and a great treat for these crazy times. Op Ivy was legendary, a staple of punk rock, and just captured the essence of youth rebellion in a way no other band could.

I really hope we get a reunion one day. I know dave mello the drummer is down an Jesse said he wouldn't be against it. Really up to Tim and Matt but with Rancid and their other projects who knows? Either way good to know their still good friends and jamming. Loved the song Jesse did with Tim Time bomb and Friends.
