Just sharing my own experience/comp. My team consistently farms 1300+ with our best events having 1600+ coins. We have Rogue/Hunter/Flex/2x disc priest Our hunter starts the event by using Eagle Eye to find the Loa ASAP. Most important things are to stay together as a group, don’t get greedy and overextend, engage in groups already fighting, and rez together if you wipe. Hope these tips are helpful for anyone reading and good luck in the event

So having a consistent group absolutely helps, everyone already knows the strats/how to play with eachother It’s definitely harder to get 1k+ coins in a full pug group, especially if you aren’t using discord/comms, so kudos to you.
In the video, the STV zone looks empty, on my server from morning to evening CROWDS take part in this event. After the revival, it's hard to find a safe place for our group to gather and buff. There is a massacre at the altars and around the boss.
Yeah, it really depends on your layer. If the boss spawns near the beach (south east) it's usually not the best place to be, unfortunately because of the spawn points and terrain. But, for the most part, yeah it can get really crowded. If you're finding a tough time even grouping up, you can try a different location a little further away from the boss/altar just to start getting some momentum and then work your way in once you have 100+ bloods to turn in.

Very good video! 2) comments though, 1) the boss is killable (but requires a massive coordinated effort). 2) you can always ask on /1 where the boss is. People will answer as everyone wants to be near the boss for the buff. It also allows you to be grouped and not to be wiped instantly

@@drygos not that much honestly, we picked a spot close to a blood altar and defended it. a lot of ppl were just running to altars and we jumped them lol! Our best one was near the ZG altar, lots of hill and good positions to hold. Rogue is good in pvp atm but feels kinda bad in raids tho :(
yeah, actually I love that spot next to ZG altar. And I agree, I think it's really good to be able to anchor down and catch a lot of over extenders trying to get to altars. Good stuff man.
I wouldn't really worry too much as a rogue to play "near altars" because you can always stealth your way up to one to turn in when you need to. However, altars are usually where theres the most enemies. If you can find areas that are fairly dense with players around kha'damu I would. And just play on the outskirts looking for cheesy kills (low level isolated kills) where you can come out of stealth, kill quickly, and vanish or sprint away to reset your stealth. That should give you the most blood per kill. I don't really recommend solo play in this event, it'll be difficult, but thats definitely one way you can do it. Good luck!
ez way to find boss! Start "middle" altar safe! use Eagle Eye macrod with bosse's name and marker! 1min pre start put ur eagle eye on most far north or south altar work ur way up or down when it starts u find boss in 30sec or less (if hunter or shaman also works)
The smaller your group the less blod you should lose when dying, and if you're solo you should lose no blood, this includes being layered out of your group or being too far away. Its almost impossible but actual fun and survival to kill one or 2 people while completely alone but then getting steamrolled by a million people and losing those tiny amounts you are able to get is completely demoralizing
Yeah, I think the layering issue that breaks groups up is not great. They should just move the whole group to a new layer if someone is stuck. I think its an interesting idea about the blood and group size. Personally, my experience with classic is that it encourages groups, friends, community. It's always been tailored to that, and it's always been hard to enjoy as a solo player. It's really important to find a good strategy around positioning so that you don't end up deep in the sauce and go on a death-roll. It happens to me too, but repositioning and finding a new spot after a death that doesn't feel very good, typically works out well. But I agree, they should do some tuning with the saturation of the event- and how punishing dieing can be. Maybe add more layers and less people per event so that it's less laggy and also not 500000 people on top of each other at some times.
my melee warrior impossible to get 100+ coins always dies so fast and camped even with healer, log in next event with my warlock static spamming curses no effort 1000+ per run gain 13 k max.
Its fing unplayable on EU crusader strike.. The lagg is soo huge 5-10 sec delay on spelles. But when its not legging, i went as Hpriest-2ret-1drood og 1pala heal. Got over 850coins
Yeah, I been hearing a lot of EU players been having a ton of lag issues. On Wild Growth US I haven't had any issues! I hope they fix this issue for all of you. It must be very frustrating to deal with!

@@drygos sweet! Hard for Rogues atm i ph2 riding. No pugs wannt rogue. Give the raid nothing and all other classes do give Some buffs.. So have cleared gnomere 2x but today was a struggle to find raid that want rogue.
With this content I would expect you to be around 100k subs. This is great work! Though it would have been a lot more useful and popular if you got it out a week or two earlier.

I was in a group and we didn’t get blood for our kills as a group was this a bug? It seemed like we only got blood if we ourselves got the killing blow
yeah its all about having burst at hand and being at the boss altar, I noticed people farm coins through aoe'ing or finishing off people gathering at the altar -- then turning in once they have some blood and contributing to others blood. It's kinda RNG due to lag but it works well at giving everyone involved a good amount of coins even if they're solo
Nice guide. The hard part is getting the healer. Running without, you become food / blood statck. Thats why i do not run STV anymore. I would if they removed the loss of blood on death. But as is, its way too punishing for non premades with good comp.

Everytime I get into a group with a healer I try to make friends with them, so that we can play more in the future. It really depends, its managable without healers but without one, you will likely only be getting 1-200 coins per run. So, yeah, try to find one! What server are you on? I'm curious if the healing issue is the same across all servers? I think there's a lot of people leveling alt toons that are healers to help, but I imagine it will always be an issue.
No idea mate my highest coin number was 919 and it was done without a healer its more about positioning and picking good fights.Im Ele and we had Enha,Warrior,Boomy,Hunter. I havent played it for two weeks but thats just because the only rewards back then were the items and since i got my 2h mace and shield i stopped but now they have put back the AB rep rewards back and i should start doing it again. The epic weapons at 60 are really good for Elemental so i gotta rust off.
@@wtbskilllololo Yeah, that's really good. The AB rep is really good too, and so is the honor exchanges. It's weird cause on my priest I farmed all my BIS items in 2 runs. I still do it for fun, and i'm working on saving for the mount and the AB rep too. My warrior, the items are so much more expensive.
To be fair, almost none of my runs with my warrior have had off-healers. With a priest, it's differen't because I am an off-healer (shadow). I've been able to have success with both clases.
I haven't noticed much lag in STV. What server are you playing on? I think my server is a central server, and im east coast. Ultimately, it might be the layer you're playing on. You can try fishing for a different layer in STV that's not as crowded maybe? Not sure. I've run it about 20 times already and haven't had any issues.
Is that one of the streamer servers? Maybe it's a lot more crowded then mine. I'm on Wild Growth and honestly the server hasn't had many lag issues since I started playing. I've only seen a lag issue one time, during my entire experience playing season of discovery. Hopefully they fix it for you!

@@CynshamHonestly, my internet isn't great. I live in florida and the servers are central. I haven't had any issues inside STV yet. I did have one day the servers were lagging a lot but that was during the leveling experience right after phase 2 launch. I guess I might be lucky?

Alternatively you can go with a group of 10-15 and go to the cave at 33/65 in STV and rotate groups. The run back from the spirit healer is just under the 20s timer to res the cave is out of the way so not many people will go there and find you. This method has been yielding my guild anywhere between 800-1400 coins if the boss comes nearby. You can safely run over the mountains to the beach alter as well. Comp doesn't matter. Healers don't matter.
I don't know if it's a lot of effort to get the 1-2 BIS items from here. There's a ton of people that prefer to do PVP, but their BIS is locked behind raiding. To be honest, I've always leaned more towards PVE, but I do enjoy some of the aspects of PVP which can be really fun so it's nice to have content in both areas that are rewarding.

@@drygos yeah I'm enh shaman. I might switch to ele tho bc it's impossible to get into raids as melee. But it's def a lot of fun. Randomly crit wf for 6X ur usual damage is great

Yeah, it's always been that way with WOW. There's always been items that are the best in the game that PVPers had to farm from PVE and vice versa. It's a little annoying but sometimes there's those items that are just too powerful to pass up. But I do agree, there's probably a little too much PVE gear gated behind PVP grinds. But, the other side is there's not really much PVE content to do outside of Gnomergan at Max level, other than professions and runes.
It’s really not that hard to get your gear from the event. Depending on class you can do a handful of blood moons and have all the good pieces you want from it.
@@Cynsham for my priest I got both my healing BIS and my dps BIS pieces in 2 runs with this strategy. But there’s also the ashenvale rep grind and ab too.
If it wasn't, it'd be absolutely unfair to healers or anyone who's not playing a meta class. Like this, it's unfair to people who refuse to get friends. Which is a choice you're not locked into, unlike playing a class.
I think the one thing i've learned in all my years of WOW is that, balance for everything and everyone is impossible. I do enjoy group play, but I also agree that this current event isn't really tailored to solo play. But, with classic, there really isn't a ton of stuff that revolves around solo play. A lot of it really encourages community and friends and everything. It's part of the magic that makes it great imo.
If it was made for solo-play, I don't think that would be very enjoyable. Would be a lot of kill stealing and cleaning up after 1v1s. They'd have to put a lot of design into avoiding that - might not even be possible.

wrong, you spread to all 5 altars, once found (immediatly) everyone suicides into smt and ghost walk to the boss... its faster then mount and 100% gank free

I haven't had much lag at all on my server. I play on Wild Growth (from the US-east), and honestly I haven't experienced lag a single time during this event.

What would you advise for someone like me that doesnt play much and is most of the time solo as Rogue ? Trying to finish off people near the Altar ?
I wouldn't really worry too much as a rogue to play "near altars" because you can always stealth your way up to one to turn in when you need to. However, altars are usually where theres the most enemies.

Yes , thats the best way to solo pvp. Thats how I do it as an elf rogue. Or just go kill lvl 30-32 mobs for easy shards if you are haveing tons of lag

I’ve gotten 1k+ on my warrior, but it’s definitely a very different play style from warlocks and casters. Does require some gear too
best way to find the big fooker is to camp the middle alter, and read chat, they generally spam it.
Sometimes but I’ve been in a lot of runs where people haven’t been sharing.

So, it's based on killing blows from either you or someone in your group. So you ened to get killing blows, yeah.

Yeah, picking the right battles and positioning is key. I do see the aoes happening but I haven’t been part of any of those types of groups 👍

5 Man Mage team. Ress up at once run to dense groups of people preferably at an Altar, AOE blast them until you die. Rise and repeat.

Alternatively you can go with a group of 10-15 and go to the cave at 33/65 in STV and rotate groups. The run back from the spirit healer is just under the 20s timer to res the cave is out of the way so not many people will go there and find you. This method has been yielding my guild anywhere between 800-1400 coins if the boss comes nearby. You can safely run over the mountains to the beach alter as well. Comp doesn't matter. Healers don't matter.

PvP is so much fun and not toxic at all. I'm so glad my BiS bow is locked behind it.
I don't know if it's a lot of effort to get the 1-2 BIS items from here. There's a ton of people that prefer to do PVP, but their BIS is locked behind raiding. To be honest, I've always leaned more towards PVE, but I do enjoy some of the aspects of PVP which can be really fun so it's nice to have content in both areas that are rewarding.

I figured mages have it easy, I constantly see AOE spam on the altars and I was thinking Mages probably get a shit ton of blood just from doing that.
@@Cynsham haha sounds like it’s true! But to be honest I really enjoy the smaller squirmishes. For me it’s not just about farming max coins but actually getting out there and having some good competition in a few encounters

Sure wish pve gear wasn’t locked behind pvp. I don’t play the game to pvp.
Yeah, it's always been that way with WOW. There's always been items that are the best in the game that PVPers had to farm from PVE and vice versa. It's a little annoying but sometimes there's those items that are just too powerful to pass up.
But I do agree, there's probably a little too much PVE gear gated behind PVP grinds. But, the other side is there's not really much PVE content to do outside of Gnomergan at Max level, other than professions and runes.
It’s really not that hard to get your gear from the event. Depending on class you can do a handful of blood moons and have all the good pieces you want from it.
@@Cynsham for my priest I got both my healing BIS and my dps BIS pieces in 2 runs with this strategy. But there’s also the ashenvale rep grind and ab too.

That could be a neat idea. I don't mind the 5 man groups, I do enjoy playing with friends so its nice.
If it wasn't, it'd be absolutely unfair to healers or anyone who's not playing a meta class. Like this, it's unfair to people who refuse to get friends. Which is a choice you're not locked into, unlike playing a class.
I think the one thing i've learned in all my years of WOW is that, balance for everything and everyone is impossible. I do enjoy group play, but I also agree that this current event isn't really tailored to solo play. But, with classic, there really isn't a ton of stuff that revolves around solo play. A lot of it really encourages community and friends and everything. It's part of the magic that makes it great imo.
If it was made for solo-play, I don't think that would be very enjoyable. Would be a lot of kill stealing and cleaning up after 1v1s. They'd have to put a lot of design into avoiding that - might not even be possible.

wrong, you spread to all 5 altars, once found (immediatly) everyone suicides into smt and ghost walk to the boss... its faster then mount and 100% gank free

I haven't had much lag at all on my server. I play on Wild Growth (from the US-east), and honestly I haven't experienced lag a single time during this event.
I'm really sorry that's been your experience. i'm hearing a lot of people having those issues. Wild Growth hasn't had any for me. I live in the US on the east coast, and I believe your server is central US. It's been pretty good so far.
