Hi Harri, it's Mick in the UK. Thank you for reacting to Emily's cover of You Raise Me Up, and thank you Clint for suggesting it. Well Harri, now that you have discovered Emily you are in for a treat. I have followed her since she was on The Voice Kids UK in 2019, and she has never failed to amaze me. She arranges all the music herself and records it live, as you see it, in her own home studio. She, and her guitar tutor Simon Tomkins sometimes add other instruments to the original recording. Emily is a beyond talented young lady, Regarding arrangements, she is graceful enough to mention in almost all her piano based songs (in the description section )that she got help of @OvidioDeFerrari with the piano arrangement.
One thing Harri, you say about her confidence, when she was, I think about when she was about 10 or 11,
she did a duet with her mother, Christine Linge which was a cover of the Irish family the Coors song of "No Frontiers"
Which can be found on Christine's RUclips channel, and Emily shows how she appears to lack the incredible
confidence she has now, by her shy looking away from her mum!

Hi Harri, you started your reaction by saying that you were close to tearing up. This young lady has had me there dozens and dozens of times. She became my favorite singer the first time I ever heard her at 12 years old. Clint will surely be sending you more songs that will show you her range and skills on the piano and guitar. You certainly picked up on a lot of things for the first time listening to her. You will find that her enunciation is always crystal clear on every word she sings too. I imagine others have told you, but her last name is pronounced with a hard G, and the E is not silent, but pronounced like the E in the word egg. Harri, you are truly embarking on a journey that you will be amazed by constantly. This young lady is the best I have ever heard. And she has the amazing ability to broadcast emotions like nobody I have ever seen before!
Emily is incredibly gifted. She is a star talent with huge future. She emanates such charm and magic in her music. I've been following her since she was only 12, when she did "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother". It blew me away and I've been following her ever since. I've never heard anyone like her. She is simply addictive!

What first drew me to listening to Emily was her version of "Easy On Me - Adele", in October 2021. It's magnificent! She sings and plays piano. She looks so much younger, but the voice is mature beyond her years [only 13-14? at the time]. Many original songs and covers enjoyed since then.

Great review! I was also shocked to learn she was only 15 . And if you see her Q & A, she is really just a typical teen. But musically she is an old soul. Her cover of Procol Harem's "Whiter Shade of Pale" was my introduction. What 15-year-old could perform that 60's classic well? She made it her own. One of my favorite covers on YT.

Love to hear that, you won't be disappointed. 150 plus videos on her youtube channel and everything from the Everly Brothers to Billie Eilish , and 10 of her own songs as well. I have requested Wicked Game so I hope you get to see that when Harri reacts to it. It is really quite extraordinary how she takes what is a guitar song and transforms it with her piano skills. I've been following her for a couple of years now. I wonder if she has the gift of perfect pitch because she sings so well in tune. There are some videos of her being interviewed if you want to get more insight.
Try Lucy Thomas and Lucy doing a duet with her sister Martha. They will blow your mind, I love all three of these young ladies .
Both versions are beautiful, it is not a competition. Emily 's piano playing gives it a slight edge for me.I especially love the purity of Martha's voice too

Great reaction Harri, you picked up on a lot, her piano teacher is a classical pianist, Ovidio De Ferrari, and she has developed a similar style to him especially with the left hand. On the next one I requested you will really see her piano skills shine. She has been putting videos on her youtube channel since she was 11-12 yrs. old and has built her channel to 237k subs and 63 million views. She loves the Beatles and covers all kinds of genres. One small point, the name is pronounced Ling - ahh, I have no doubt in her future everyone will know how to say it. Thanks again, take care, Clint.

@@clint6872 LOL, I spent about $700. USD just in Chinese groceries and stuff that I can't get down here. I am set for months now. When I start running low, I will have to head back up there. The wedding happened at just the right time of year. I don't know if you are familiar with Moon Cakes, but they only come out during harvest season. Much like our Thanksgiving, the Chinese celebrate the harvest. I got 8 boxes of them, LOL. The trip back was ok until the last hour or so. Just as I was hitting Helena, 60 miles from here, and right where the mountain passes begin, it was dusk, and rain started coming down in sheets. It's miserable driving when you have already been on the road all day.

I've been a fan of Emily since she was about 13yrs old she in my opinion has the talent to be a maga star she has about 200 tracks on utube her latest is a cover of the beatles I'll follow the sun which is amazing to me when she covers a beatles song this may sound strange i think she has a young Paul quality to her voice

Hi Harri. This I believe is the second time you have reacted to Emily. I believe you reacted to her covering Procul Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale when I think she was 13 or 14. Her voice gets stronger all the time. You need to check out her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. I've been following her foe a few years and love her.

She has an English mother and a Norwegian father and lives in Dubai . Her surname is " Ling ahh ". She is amazing as she plays piano ,guitar acoustic and electric ! Writes her own songs as well ! Check out her You Tube channel ! So many covers of so many different artists.

But Emily has such musical talent as well on that steinway, and a pretty good guitarist. And writes dam good music. Then add in emilys maturity devotion at 15 going on 16 and ill be watching ,listning for an eternity . She is embedded in my ❤.

Lucy and Martha are certainly very good, but who does all the music arrangements, plays the instruments, and does the recording....the record company. Emily does it all herself, with a little help from her guitar teacher. Now that's REAL talent. Take care.
