She is wonderful, and still only 15! There's a cover featuring her on lead vocals, with the very talented Sina on drums, of the great medley from Abbey Road---the first songs I saw her perform, and it's just fabulous as she's collaborating with teens like herself (13 at the time). Emily is a genuine prodigy, and she writes her own songs as well.
Absolutely beautiful. Emily's vocals are so crystal clear with an eloquent delivery that makes every syllable heavenly. The piano is so captivating and enjoyable. Such an incredible performance. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Clint. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
She has an absolutely wonderful touch on the piano. Soft, but definite, flowing, superb. Strong emotion in a song that is 90% emotion. Oh, by the way, she sings.
Hi Christian, if that’s your name, and not your description, actually, either way😊, Emily has an amazing piano teacher. He is world-renowned, and has written scores for Hollywood, and lead orchestras everywhere. His name is Ovidio De Ferrari. He’s written some amazing music.
Hi Harri, I really enjoy your musical choices and your commentaries. Wicked Game is maybe my all time favourite song. Emily Linge 15 years young!!! Wow wow wow.
Yes, it's definitely one of my favorites as well. By the way, do you agree with me that you'd prefer to hear it with that amazing Fender Strat guitar sound like in the original? That was the only problem I had with this performance. I'm curious what you think...
You can probably see the smile on my face from England ( I'm in Canada ). The best of these reaction channels is when you bring music you love and it gets the love right back. Thank you so much for that incredible but understandable reaction. This young lady is a special talent and hard working. She produces a video on an almost weekly basis , videography by her mum who is a singer herself but now focuses on Emily's music. The studio is in their home and was built for her mum. She has about ten original songs of her own right now and says she is working on an album. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. During the pandemic she was separated from her 2 older brothers in Norway for 2years so a few of her songs deal with separation . Maybe next month we will take a look at some of her guitar performances. Take care, Clint. p.s. Perfect on the name.
Hi buddy, thanks for requesting this. Though you can’t go wrong with any song you pick, this is one of my favorites. The guy you were talking with, Doug, is a Canadian too, just like us.😊. He’s a really great guy, and I think very highly of both him and Ed, his partner on their channel. He’s a generation behind us, but cut from the same cloth, for sure.
@@bradtaggart5509 Hey Brad, loved the reaction. Doug and I were just having different viewpoints, I knew sending this would get that response from someone, Heck, I love the guitar in the original, so I understand completely. It's all good.
I second Clint's response. She's an amazing performer. Her ability to broadcast emotions is uncanny. She's a perfectionist, and she writes all of her own piano solos, even on the covers of other people's songs.
I agree entirely, thanks for giving her a listen. Options are limited for young artists to get their name out there and that's why the constant request to subscribe, it really is a numbers game. Take care.
That was a great review Harri. I don’t know if Clint mentioned it, but Em always writes her own piano score and solos, copy ot not. She is amazing, and my favorite since the first time I heard her when she was barely 12. Nice request Clint.
She's come a long way since I last watched her videos years ago. And she was great then. Her family has done her well. So young and so talented already. Love when she sings with her brothers. Mom has done a great job raising them. Don't know much about dad, but imagine him too.
Well harry supprise. You get to be one of the thousands upon thousands who have simply fallon in love with Emily linge. I bet you didnt know shes only been playing that steinway for 5 years. I find that in that amazing young lady.
You should also review Chiara Kilchling who has performed several duets with Emily, probably the best being "You've Got a Friend" by Carol King. Chiara has also done a super cover of Led Zeppelin's "The Rain Song" and has a great song she wrote called "Golden Hour". She usually plays all the instruments and produces her own videos. On top of that, she is a great artist.
I love Chiara too. I actually bought a print from her of that painting she is working on in her Golden Hour video. She has a new band now that are fantastic if you haven’t heard them yet. They have their own channel, but it’s Chiara’s band. They are called Caravel, and they already have 3 live-recorded hits. Look up Follow The Leaver.
Good observation Harri, about time somebody pays her some due! Check out her rendition of Falling by Harry Styles as well as Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell and On and on and on. Her music is so sweet, I listen to her mixes often.
Hi Harri, it's Mick in the UK. Well, there is not much that I can add to what everyone has said. Emily is beyond compare. She musically arranges everything herself and records everything herself. Emily has an amazing memory.... there are no music or lyric sheets in sight on any of her near 160 songs on RUclips, and most recordings are done in one take. She plays guitar very well and is learning all the time, but she is a piano virtuoso having being taught from an early age by Ovideo De Ferrari, one of the finest concert pianists in the world. Emily was, and still is, Ovideo's star pupil. He also lives in Dubai which is very handy. I know others have mentioned Emily's surname pronunciation, but can I please clarify? Linge is Norwegian and pronounced "Ling-eh." The "E" is hard, as in the word "EGG." But please don't take my word for it? Emily has explained it herself in a radio interview on Dubai Eye Radio. I hope that clears it up for everyone? So thank you Harri for your wonderful reaction to Emily, and of course, thank you Clint for suggesting it. There are well over 60 guitar tracks on Emily's RUclips channel to choose from, but if you want a self-penned song from Emily, I suggest you try Time Goes By, Emily's first, at just thirteen years old. Take care, kind regards, Mick.
Good morning Mick, I explained the pronunciation, including the ‘E’ as in the word Egg, on his first review of You Raise Me Up. There were several people who told him he was saying it wrong, but I gave him Emily’s explanation.😊 I think he got it this time around much better.
@@bradtaggart5509 Yes, you had got it right, but a few were getting it wrong, so I thought it best to explain it as Emily did, then Harri would have it right. Take care.
@@michaelcollins4038 It never hurts to cover all the bases my friend. If they miss my explanation, they will catch yours, or vice versa, so that doubles the chances that people will say it properly. I was up at a family wedding in Canada and my iPad got totally destroyed, ran over by a car, so I am furiously trying to get caught up and retrieve all of my stuff. My new iPad won't arrive for a week. If you wonder why you haven't seen me around or in the groups, or sending you messages, that's the reason. Half of the stuff I had on iPad, I don't have on this laptop, so I am kinda operating blindly on most things.
Hi Mick, thoroughly enjoyed Harri's reactions. I did give him the e as in egg description when I sent him the initial request then was simply trying to find another way to get the sound across, but he got it fine in this one. You know in Canada we are known for adding eh at the end of sentences as in "How's it goin' , eh?" 😂 and that eh has a definite 'A' sound. I had all those interviews saved on fb but went to watch one the other day and they all had vanished I was curious if it was just mine or if they had been taken down. I hate to lose those. Take care.
Well Harri, I've been a fan of yours since the beginning, and have actually reacted to Emily on my own reaction channel, and she's truly talented. The issue I have with this one, albeit a great performance, I believe that this song needs to be played on the guitar. That is a big part of the beauty and allure of the original tune. I'm a long time guitar player, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but that fender Stratocaster on the original is, to me, priceless. Great job brother, see you on the next one. ☮️🎵
Yes, the original is iconic, this doesn't change that. I guess the way I would look at it is now we have both and what a shame it would have been for her not to put this out into the world . I mean, she makes that Steinway sing, and the original is always just a click away.

Emily is an incredibly gifted performer, especially at such a young age. I agree about her outfit, that's it's too much for her age, and I mentioned that to her when I commented on the original video.
She has a beautiful voice - I'd like to hear something more. My only criticism is that she is too young to understand the emotional depth of the song. Chris Issac knows this song is an inevitable tragedy from the beginning.
Hi Ken, I have been following Em since she was 12. She's my favorite singer, and one of her unique abilities is that she can broadcast emotions better than any singer I have ever known. Go listen to a few of her songs, it doesn't matter which ones, and you will see what I mean. She has had tears in my eyes many times. She has written over a dozen songs herself, and some of them are the same way.
@@bradtaggart5509 Hey Brad I don't doubt her talent, just her experience. To a teenage girl this is a love song. Maybe a bittersweet one, but still a love song. The only love in this song is narcissism on the female side and neurosis on the male side.
@@kenlawless7247 You might be right about that, I don't know what's in her mind, but I can tell you that she's the most mature teenager I've ever ran across. I'm sure that she hasn't got the years of experience in love and romance, that can only come with time, but the understanding of it is a different story. You can tell by the words of some of the songs that she has penned herself that she understands the feelings and emotions that go along with relationships.
