Portsoy Pipe Band playing on the old harbour during the 2023 Portsoy Boat Festival. This was on Sunday 2nd July 2023 and the band, led here by Pipe Major Robert Legge, were playing Bonnie Galloway, Bonnie Lass o' Fyvie and Rowan Tree.
2023 marked the 30th anniversary of the ACE Winches Portsoy Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The event has grown to become one of Scotland's largest nautical culture and heritage celebrations, with a flotilla of boats anchoring in the historic harbour and a weekend full of traditional music and dancing entertainment, spread over several stages.

The government keeps fiddling about with local authority boundaries so you don’t know where you are anymore but Portsoy was in Banffshire when I was a loon and you can’t change history.
