Wonderful show, incredible cast and Stemp an absolute star. Had the great privilege of playing James Walsingham a couple of years ago and fell in love with this show.

While the 1960's original musical version was a conventional musical comedy, this revisal is more of an operetta, almost thru-sung. but far more complex. It's charming, well-acted, sung and danced. A genuine improvement.
I agree, compared to the Tommy Steele Half-A-Sixpence Movie Version. I watched the movie before going to London in 2017 to see if I wanted to see it in London, as I was unfamiliar with this particular show. I ended up liking the new version so much better in London; in fact, I liked it so much that I bought tickets to see it again a few nights later. I've been trying to find a way to see the recording in the USA since.

I’ve been hoping to see this for some time. Thank you for posting!
I really like the filmed performance of Kipps The New Half a Sixpence Musical and it’s one of my favourites

Brilliant adaptation, but I still missed Tommy Steele.
the showstopping song at the end about the water pitcher was my favorite
