Cats was/is my favorite musical i saw it 12 times on Broadway as a kid. So many of these general audience normie cruise ship people have no understanding or appreciation of musical theater or all the work that goes into this show. The show is so dance heavy and it takes real atheletisim to pull this off. If you dont like cats go sit on the deck and drink your margaritas and play some shuffleboard or something.
Yeah camera work is not the best, but not mine and still very lucky to have this recording at all. And general show etiquette on a ship is somewhat lacking shall we say. If you've ever experienced it you will know what I mean.
@@matthewlink8153 Absolutely. There's a lot of unappreciative audiences on Oasis. But thanks so much for posting this - never thought we'd get to see OG Oasis cast! Apart from anything else, there are several beloved performers who went on to have long-running Cats careers, and it's wonderful to see them ten years ago right at the beginning of that journey.
Most definitely, I was lucky enough to be in the audience every night for a week watching this exact cast on the Oasis for a week over Xmas 2014. And then the ones that carried on in Blackpool and London with Jane McDonald and Beverley Knight. Fantastic show with some fantastic casts.
@@matthewlink8153 Two things. The choreography and the ambiguity of it all. I like that I don't have all the answers for the characters, and Gillian Lynn's choreography is just so beautiful I literally cried the first time I watched The Jellicle Ball section.
Im disabled and would love to see a show in tge theatre but unsure of the accesabilty, this is one of my fave shows thankyou soo much this is awesome
Absolutely amazing! I first saw Cats at Manchester's Palace Theatre in 2002. Thank you so much for sharing this! 👌🙏
I can't believe you managed to capture Cats the musical in it's entirety! You are a hero for doing this!
omg, im so grateful for that! I've always dreamed of watching 'Cats'!! tks

Better use of my time.
@@jwhome9319yeah cuz they don't need your negative energy in the theater
Thank you so much for uploading this it must have been hard work holding onto the camera for so long, I appreciate that thank you!
Omg thanks for sharing! ❤🙀😻🐈🐈⬛🐱
Sehr schön und einfühlsam. Es ist mir eine große Ehre.... Du weißt schon😊
I'm amazed they still say, "heathen Chinese."
The amount of spins jacob brent can do as mistoffelees is truly impressive. In the Broadway show he went on for such a long time it was insane
that ain't Jacob brent
I think that’s anthony starr
Jacob Brent is definitely mistoffelees he was in the DVD version of Cats I made think of Anthony Starr is doing the same thing as Jacob Brent did
An ad in the middle of "Memory"?
The cast was incredible, but GOD why is the tempo for each song so fast??? Its all over the place!
Great camera work 😂 darting everywhere.
Plus, must be ultra annoying having someone talking through the entire show in the background.

I have the feeling this video was made from the lighting or sound room so the talking you’re hearing is probably from crew members giving queues.
Who talking the whole time !!!!!!
Damn! How'd you get this? Also, do you know the date it was originally filmed?
Unfortunately, I can't disclose how I obtained this, and the exact date is unknown. What's your favourite part of Cats?

I actually think of Cats 1998 did make the Broadway musical movie is not as good as this one
Cats 1998 did put amazing songs in this musical
truly a stinker. We didnt return after the intermission. Reviewers wont say the Emperor has no clothes!!
Then go away normie
@@ambervictoria11 I did.
