These are some fantastic camera angles. I loved the undertail wheelie shot. Great job, I never complained about the video quality previously, but I will laud this excellent work
Hi there. the new MV won't be out for a little while yet, but we're looking forward to that one. The 2013 RC8R is the same as the current one, I think, so I doubt we'll test that one again unti a new version comes out. Cheers. Neevesy. MCN
That will be sensational and it will be a great example on the old vs new character and how the new tech with a "sunday beast" is... love to hear your thoughts Neevesy I just got an 1100 evo sp knowing about the new model but I wanted the 1100 Ducati with a dry clutch and with a PCV, POD filters, removed the cat and slip-on pipe I got 101hp at the wheel and 80ft/lb
That's not really what he meant when he said that. He meant that compared to a lot of other supermoto bikes, this one isn't just a dirtbike with wheels, and it's something that you would maintain the luster of the paint like any other road bike.
I did 3400 miles in 5 days on a 2013 . Maybe it's not for touring but it will get the job done. The biggest issue is the short range due to the limited capacity fuel tank.
Michael, I always like your reviews! I will be honest though I am waiting for the shoot out between this and the MV Agusta! I also would like you to do the review on the 2013 RC8R I'd like to hear your thoughts. Cheers
Can't really call it until I test ride one myself. @MCNnews and @Visordown say the same thing about the new engine lacking grunt. Therefore I'll be in no rush to trade in my wheelie-prone 2012 Hypermotard Evo SP.
There is absolutely no reason you could not tour with this bike amazing suspension with extra travel, extremely comfortable? other than maybe the tank my not go as far between fill ups. pack a Jerry can in your luggage get a windshield if you must and enjoy your trip like never before.👍 He just payed to sell models for the manufacturer.
I have an old offroad that I mostly use to commute to school and for the all important weekend thrashing in the woods, and I can tell you hand to heart that ive never washed that bike. And the closest thing it has come to a "polish" would be being left out in the rain. But if I were to own a ducati I wouldnt mind spending a night polishing that lovely single sided swing arm, instead of fapping away every night watching videos of the same bike and arguing on if you are allowed to wash it or not
Cool bike but it's insanely heavy for a motard making it rubbish off road! Best part of a Supermoto is nipping through the greenlanes, keeping up with the dirt bikes, do a few jumps and then back on the sticky stuff to scrape the pegs and still be quicker than the sportsbikes in the corners!
I like parking my red 1100s at the gym next to a dirtied up, old, blackout out, 'real' Harley. That Harley is that guys life! Tried and true. Through thick or thin. Has seen a couple divorces and several decades pass by. My hyper is polished up, tuned up, electronically tensioned, and lookin' like a million bucks! I don't ride it in the rain or the cold. It's not fun, it's dangerous, and just a pain in the ass to waterproof yourself. I ride for fun, thrills, adventure, and girls, ergo Hyper.
Im sure its an awesome bike to ride, plenty of fun etc. but Ducati, please stop calling it a motard, motards are about torque, not horsepower, and light weight. If it doesn't at least come with the option of dirt wheels its not a motard. I understand the point of this bike and even like it, I just want them to re-think the name.
sorry bud to much time on my 250 tss or is it tss 250 , scrambled the old brain cells ..one has to think in spanish to ride the thing .. tally ho never seems to work ..i swore its alivee somtimes mate ..
I used this "motard" for 3 days mostly in urban traffic and I LOVE IT ! ......I am really thinking about to buy one.
I do love commuting in the rain. There is some kind of calm serenity about it. Speaking of, I did today...
These are some fantastic camera angles. I loved the undertail wheelie shot.
Great job, I never complained about the video quality previously, but I will laud this excellent work
The quality level of these MCN videos is really getting up there. The footage, editing, narration are all top notch.
I must say, I really do enjoy the way you guys make videos now. Keep up the work! Specially the camera angles!
Love how the new exhausts is situated, gives the motor a nicer backside :P
Amazing, versatile and powerful. Gather all the qualities I look for in a motorcycle. My dream...
@coleraby no problems with oil spitting out with the wheelies. I tested that fully. Neevesy MCN
Now we are talking awsome camera angels and love the dubstep
loved that cam position, under tail - wheelie!!
Watching these videos now cuz I just bought one 😎😎😎😎
That chest mounted camera is pretty awesome!
Great channel guys!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have a Ducati and I think it's gorgeous. AND I paid about 3,000 less than any current gen 600 supersport.
That will be sensational and it will be a great example on the old vs new character and how the new tech with a "sunday beast" is...
love to hear your thoughts Neevesy

Wow just wow!!!!!
@Sergiu Bogdan exactly! Neevesy MCN

essa moto e paú pra toda obra
roda na estrada na cidade e na terra
linda e inteligente!

@mintpaul we do a lot of old v new features, so that's not a bad one. Neevesy MCN
I d like to have this as a second bike. I imagine which would be the 1st

awesome. love it. want one
The 1100 Evo SP is a brilliant bike - it'll definitely be the more extreme Hypermotard, compared to the new one. Cheers. Neevesy. MCN
Hey Adey,
Whats your thought on the new Hyper?
Can't really call it until I test ride one myself. @MCNnews and @Visordown say the same thing about the new engine lacking grunt. Therefore I'll be in no rush to trade in my wheelie-prone 2012 Hypermotard Evo SP.

Good looking bike that!
i think hes referring to the racing supermotos
@neevesybikes
Can you do a Hypermotard 1100 and 820 vid or write up PLEASE :)
Very tempted. But do I trade in my GSXR750 K6 for it? Discuss.
I have an old offroad that I mostly use to commute to school and for the all important weekend thrashing in the woods, and I can tell you hand to heart that ive never washed that bike. Bring back the integrated mirror!

Dear MCN. Please road test the fuck out of the Hyperstrada version of this when it comes out. that is all.
So, who do I have to kill to get one then??
Man, I'd love it, can't afford it but hey, we can all dream ;-)
weird techno music doesn't fit in but awesome footage!
Best comment EVER!!!
48 people who agreed with you didn't listen to what Neevesy said, and even wrote in the comments just for your benefit.
T-Max to go to work and this for the WE ?? Yeah why not !
ktm is the best when it comes to supermotards
thats just a fancy heavy and expensive bike with the looks of a supermotard
Is the SP model streel legal? I know it comes with race exaust. Just wondering if it would be street legal?
+Basir Kakar yes, even with the sport pack (termignoni exhaust etc) complies to EU and US regulations
I guess so, but nonetheless supermoto's are still dirtbikes converted? I guess you could say, for road use
This thing is amazing! More of a streetfighter though
try a triumph used carb bonneville t-100 , ride it ,change it ,strip it ,paint it , enjoy motorcycle again ...
...seems like the bike behaves more like a unicycle than a motorcycle.
:o
G58...What is real riding ?
What else are you going to do when the weather is totally shite...
I think I'd prefer last years model.
Haha.... Gotta find me a new one!
:)

I'm sorry, I love it, it's gorgeous. . . but it's not a supermoto, it's 60KG too heavy for that. - For me anyway.
Goddamn wub wub
Why the fuck would i want to cherish and polish my bike? if i have it i'll ride it !
Give me a 690smcr any day.
The phrase 'Supermoto-for-the-road' makes no sense... Supermoto's are dirtbikes for the road already?
this is biking porn :))

It was cool until over played dubstep came in

Real riding is what guys do when they sit in the pub drink heaps of booze and talk bullshit
Ah, a 'real' biker lol

why are ducatis so ugly but cost so much the only thing that bike is good for is stunts no one likes to nut tap the gas tank everytime they stop
