I own a 821 SP and love it and recently tried a 950 for a ride. I didn‘t feel that difference you sai, maybe I have to try again. But I‘m not into wheelies, so I probably look at it differently. But I absolutely approve what you say, I owned over 12 bikes in my life and the HYM is by far the best bike I ever had. It‘s radicallity, the insanly good chassis, the power for a 821 (its really incredible, if you accelerate at 150 kmh in 3rd of even 4th gear, it just blows away).
what about the hypermotard 1100 im curious what the power differences or feel differences are between the bikes, im coming off a gsxr 1000 so ill be going backwards in power a bit so i dont want a sluggish motard
Sawatdee krub, hey, question for you. I’ve got a Thailand assembled 2016 Hypermotard SP. I noticed in your video that your Amber “check engine” caution light intermittent turns on with an occasional red “master warning” light. Mine does the same and I’ve got it at the Bangkok shop for them to attempt to sort out. What was the reason for your Amber light? Thanks, James
Compression ratio has little to do with engine responsiveness. The older bikes have lousy fuel management systems which is the reason they don't run right. The 950 has an all new fuel system which is why they run so much better.
I shouldnt have rode my cousins new hyperstrada... brought back too many memories of my hyper 1100. Man I miss that bike. And here i am watching hyper videos considering going into debt again. The hypermotard is one bike you that if you ever get the chace to ride you will end up buying regardless of weather you can afford it or not!
Im an 821 owner til now, i am biased but i love my Hyperstrada turned Hypermotard. For me the chassis design and looks does not get old even though it's a 10yr old bike. It has its own hiccups due to age especially O2 Sensor and low Rpm surging since day 1 which Jetprime Oxymette solved this minor issue. I guess these things made me love the bike as i get attached to it. Lets not talk about riding a Hypermotard, a really fun fun bike to ride, it is like a toy to both city riding and mountain twisties❤😊 Good Review BtW..
821 price is very affordable in Thailand by now. I wish I can get some by end of this year by the way, I know that spare parts is quite expensive though. how about the service side? compare to Japan made bike in the same range, is that much more expensive like I think or just a little more price to paid.
engine responsiveness is most, ignition timing and other engine components. the compression is more because of the euro 5 cat. . means also that it needs higher octane fuel. but yeah i skip 80percent of the vid, yea, the sp suspension is sticky and way to hard for public roads.
Great video, THANKS for that!! What I wonder is that on my 821 in the first gear I make instant wheelies.. the snappyness isn't missing at all. But I never drove the 950..
Hi, thank you for your review! Do you think that brand new 950 worth 2x of the price of barely used 821? Or the difference is not so big? Unfortunately, can’t take a test drive on both by myself before buying :( also, have you experienced any troubles with your hypers? Have you tried long-commuting trips(like 500-600kms)? Are hypers okay with that thing? (I understand that comfort is not their strong side lol but how long you can handle that) I’ve googled for all these questions but very interesting in your opinion. Will really appreciate your reply, thank you!
Tbh I’d look into a different bike. If u want a supermoto style maybe a KTM 690 (might be even taller tho) the weight will be farrrrrrr more manageable
I feel that the information you’re giving are coming out a bit slow. You kind of beat around the bush before giving a straight answer. I believe getting to the point quick can maintain viewers focus. I hope this help thanks for the video!
Yes it does get hot, something I should have mentioned. Seat height depending on model is between 850-870mm. I would recommend a test ride to be certain 😊
Great video man. Thanks for your shared experiences and knowledge, I went for a test drive and ended up getting the 950SP. Picking it up next week 👍 lovely machine
For those who haven’t seen my 2 part review and trip of the Hypermotard 950 Bangkok to Pattaya 👇 👇 Part 1 = ruclips.net/video/EYEvdyt5MXM/видео.html Part 2 = ruclips.net/video/oT6AdSls4cY/видео.html
Had my eye on one of these for a while now. Have KTM Duke 690 here in the Philippines, and it has been a blast in the tight n twisty mountain roads. Came with panniers too. Think a hyperstrada with the touring panniers makes sense, able to go for longer trips and still fun once you get to the mountains. Just not decided on 821 or 939.... 🤔
The video was very helpful but iI think you forget something very very Important, that is reliability, I know for short that the 821 is a pain in the ass, a disaster in reliability, therebis many people in the forums reporting about failures, and I have a friend who owned one from new, and he have to sell it before the warranty ends up, problems after problems, ecu, dashboard, engine failure, eletronics, everything of bad! Now the 950 I can't tell but I would like to know about their reliability... Good Video!!
I'll take my Hypermotard 1100. The truth is, I haven't tried the 821 or the others, but once you ride the 1100, you're not going to want another bike, it's a beast.
Very nice Video man . I’m live in Thailand too . I had Ducati Streetfighter but I love Hypermotard so much I think if everything okay I want to buy one soon, Thanks for subtitle in Thai it’s very important to me 😁
If you plan to track it, the old SP model will be better vs a new normal model. Those extra adjustments, and I cannot stress it enough will make a huge difference
the moment you said that you're not one of those youtubers that talk shit I immediately thought of that idiot CycleCruza. He's comparing the Hypermotard to a Yamaha dirtbike even though they are not of the same category. Also he has never ridden a hypermotard prior to making that video(maybe up till today)
I would have thought your choice is dictated by how much money you have. The 950 is the one to go for if you have the money. Dead right about RUclips BS merchants who haven't ridden anything. Motoman, you'd be blown away if you rode a Buell XB12X.
The answer is none don't buy one don't buy one that's the best advice you will ever get from someone who owns this bike don't bloody get it cause when it chooses to shit on you, that's the day you will regret paying 35k to get it fixed hehe
Sorry about your experience man but I've had my '13 Hypermotard 821 SP for more than 7 years now, not a single issue. Full Termi exhaust sounds heavenly, love this bike to bits.
The 821/939 is easily the most beautiful chassis Hyper to date.

Do you have an idea İs it more comfortable then Husky 701 SM ?
Thanks Mate Good video..
Great video... I just picked up a 821 SP... love it... it definitely takes a moment to wind up
Good video man, I like the humor and the review is on point, it’s authentic, it’s you, it’s not pretentious ....and it works, keep it up!
Thanks for this video, really helpful! I'm in love with 939 and hopefully will buy one soon
can't find anything anywhere about whether the display has backlight
Hi, please tell me- Ducati Hypermotard 43 kw version is good for beginners ?

compare to both cc..which one is more comfort for a long distance ride?
Compression ratio has little to do with engine responsiveness. The older bikes have lousy fuel management systems which is the reason they don't run right. The 950 has an all new fuel system which is why they run so much better.
False
What do you mean?? I’ve seen many older hypermotards that run great lol.
Haha just rode my mates hyper tonight. Can confirm I now want one!!

What's the reliability and service intervals like?

I like when you saw police box and the way you treat them. thats lit 😂🔥
engine responsiveness is most, ignition timing and other engine components. the compression is more because of the euro 5 cat. . means also that it needs higher octane fuel. but yeah i skip 80percent of the vid, yea, the sp suspension is sticky and way to hard for public roads.
Compared to the Ducati Desert Sled does the standard 950 feel taller? Even with the 20mm lower seat? Thanks.
Trying to educate on these . Looking to buy a used . Thank you!!
What’s faster a 950 or a 1100. Someone told me the 950 but I don’t believe them.
Great video, THANKS for that!! What I wonder is that on my 821 in the first gear I make instant wheelies.. the snappyness isn't missing at all. But I never drove the 950..
nice video man! I agree with what you said about the 950, I still would like to test an 821/939 to appreciate the difference.
Great review mate, where in Thailand are you based? I'm in Bangkok, would love to connect

Hypermotard 821 or Hypermotard 1100 s?
The 950 is action from the start, very punchy down low compared to the older ones thank god.
Perfect video as I’m thinking of buying one for next year 👍
I ws wondering if this motor bike is good for me, I’m 5’4” tall cn we lower the suspension of this bike?
Tbh I’d look into a different bike. If u want a supermoto style maybe a KTM 690 (might be even taller tho) the weight will be farrrrrrr more manageable
@@motomanvlog i really like the hypermotard sir it is my dream super bike, can i ride that bike? And can the suspension be lowered?
Is the 821 engine quiter than that of 939?
I feel that the information you’re giving are coming out a bit slow. You kind of beat around the bush before giving a straight answer. I believe getting to the point quick can maintain viewers focus. I hope this help thanks for the video!
High compression is hard on engine life.
Subscribed, liked your sense of humour and the positive energy.🤜🤜
Does it heat up,
Whats the seat height?
Is it ok for riders like 5"9
Yes it does get hot, something I should have mentioned. Seat height depending on model is between 850-870mm. I would recommend a test ride to be certain 😊
@@motomanvlog thanks
Great video man. Thanks for your shared experiences and knowledge, I went for a test drive and ended up getting the 950SP. Picking it up next week 👍 lovely machine
Congrats mate
i’ve picked up my 950 SP two days ago. bloody great bike :)

Thank you for the excellent and enjoyable review of the Ducatis.I am from Johannesburg,South Africa

Just not decided on 821 or 939.... 🤔
The 950 is the one!
No mention of the Hyperstrada touring version?
Love my 939 SP… what a beautiful beasty.. a absolute gem of a commuter..
Specially with Termignoni 🥰😎👌
The video was very helpful but iI think you forget something very very Important, that is reliability, I know for short that the 821 is a pain in the ass, a disaster in reliability, therebis many people in the forums reporting about failures, and I have a friend who owned one from new, and he have to sell it before the warranty ends up, problems after problems, ecu, dashboard, engine failure, eletronics, everything of bad!

Good Video!!
I don't know man, I've had my 2013 Hypermotard 821 SP for more than 7 years now and not a single issue so far, love it.
My hyper821 is piece of $h*t
Change all the electronics , ecu, dash, bbs, still broken
821 ducati's are unreliable piece of $h-tt
Stubpid bike !!!
Amo mi 939, que maquina! 😊
I'll take my Hypermotard 1100. The truth is, I haven't tried the 821 or the others, but once you ride the 1100, you're not going to want another bike, it's a beast.
Make sure you get the most extended warranty possible....and sell it before expiration, otherwise you'll have an Italian paperweight
😆🤣🤣
Thanks for the video.
Very nice Video man . I’m live in Thailand too . I had Ducati Streetfighter but I love Hypermotard so much I think if everything okay I want to buy one soon, Thanks for subtitle in Thai it’s very important to me 😁
My pleasure bro
If you plan to track it, the old SP model will be better vs a new normal model. Those extra adjustments, and I cannot stress it enough will make a huge difference
Long story short, higher you go, better the performances.
Just follow your budget
fuel ratio, not compression !
The 1100.
Great vid
Everyone knows the 1100 evo sp is the hypermotard's ultimate form
the moment you said that you're not one of those youtubers that talk shit I immediately thought of that idiot CycleCruza. He's comparing the Hypermotard to a Yamaha dirtbike even though they are not of the same category. Also he has never ridden a hypermotard prior to making that video(maybe up till today)
hypermotard ผมชอบมันนะทรงมันสวยดี😁😁
หล่อมากครับ 😍
Do you live in Bangkok my friend ❓😉😃😃😃
ok i would personally choose the one your dad has it looks loads better and sounds friken awesome in my personal view ..oh and epic burp bro lmao :)
😂😂😂😂

Dude sounds like Ali G.
Hey it’s Ali G.
I'd have any not fussy
😂😂😂 true
the 1100 thats it, thats the post....
This phone is black . . . NOT
The Hype is such a fun bike ! If they weren’t so h🔥t, I would buy the new model from what you are saying about the engine compression💥
The answer is none don't buy one don't buy one that's the best advice you will ever get from someone who owns this bike don't bloody get it cause when it chooses to shit on you, that's the day you will regret paying 35k to get it fixed hehe
🤣🤣🤣🤣
What are you talking about. BS. Love this bike. But mine is the 1100s. Runs great.
Sorry about your experience man but I've had my '13 Hypermotard 821 SP for more than 7 years now, not a single issue. Full Termi exhaust sounds heavenly, love this bike to bits.
It's a great bike no doubt I love my bike to bits, but man oh man how expensive the big service is 😂 but yeah it's the lifestyle of a ducati owner
