I agree.Awful amateur like audio. You should really pay attention to what people who spend their time watching your video's are saying. It's almost 2014 you know.
if they would do a professional comparison video like Chris Harris ,who else would bother to buy their magazine, if you knew anything about MCM ,you would know most of their videos are made and edited by the editors in this case Mr. Neeves
I worked as a sound engineer back in the 80s. The reviews are great, awesome, fantastic. Love MCN. Love Micheal, Adam, and Trevor. Better than the US bike reviews. But give me little while and I'm sure I could do your sound better for you. I'm sure I could get some sound leveling software for cheap.
Would have been nice to see some decent footage of the bikes on the move. All I saw were two guys leaning on them, some scenery and some close-ups of a wheel whizzing past now and then.
MCN, so much talent and knowledge ruined by incredibly poor execution of the final product. Audio on videos is consistently sub par. Great bikes....I'd take either.
I understood everything they said & the audio was fine to me. For those that couldn't understand they said they couldn't pick a winner as both bikes were great. Instead of complaining why don't you make your own reviews using better language with better audio instead of complaining & mocking someone elses hard work & time.
I'm still confused people keep calling this type of bike a supermoto or supermotard... After racing supermoto for a few years and being active in the sport I've never ridden a bike like this or seen one that looks like it on a track we've ridden. All bikes are modified motocross bikes with some exceptions like the Husqvarna SMR450RR and SMR530RR bikes. Brands like Husqvarna and KTM also build some street legal supermoto bikes based on their 450 offroad/mx bikes. In the old days supermoto's were build from 500 twostroke motocross bikes, currently the 450 fourstrokes have replaced these. Modifications include stiffening the suspension, adding 16.5" front wheel and 17" back wheel. Mounting a 320 brake disk, radial brembo stuff in the front and a pair of slicks or rain tyres. The difference in bike with what is called a supermoto here is enormous, a KTM 450SXF is just a hair over 100Kg with about 60HP of power, compared to that all these 'so called' supermoto are just fat obese chicks with short breathing. Just my 2 cts...
+Werner Reuser you know what's more ridiculous, benelli tnt cafe racer, even the styling of that bike's not even close to a cafe racer design philosophy.
i'd still take the ducati 7 days a week. nothing against mv, but if it is about the riding experience, there's nothing more fun than the hypermotard. but the new ktm1290superduke is going to rain on everyone's parade.
Aaron Hawkins in fact the Rivale isn't a supermoto, but is's a different styled naked with a "supermoto" riding position, as well as the MT09/FZ09. If we want to be precize, even the Hypermotard isn't a supermoto, but a naked with a motard style
Martin Burslam yes marzocchi front ohlins rear but i replaced front & rear with WP, sorry if it sounded like ohlins front. And yes i did own one just sold it to buy the 1290 super duke.
I could not understand one word they said? Sub-titles please? The accent is cool and all, but the back and forth quick banter is lost in translation especially when the music and the mic's are a total fail. So they go back down the mountain and then it just fades to black.....?
the hypermotard 1100 with the old air cooled engine that i have, didn't had many problems as far i can find? the newer ones or the old 796 are the ones with the electronic problems in it.
Have you tried the Hypermotard SP? I went for a test ride on it the other day and trust me, it is a supermoto, feels like your sat on a dirt bike! I fell in love with it straight away, had a termigioni however you spell it can on aswell sounded amazing! But yeah awesome bike, I had a 2013 street triple R and I much prefer the SP
blaneysiktube You mean except for the 50% more weight? I'm sure it feels like a SM compared to a street triple R, but a 430 lb bike does not feel like a 275 lb supermoto.
Neevesy. You better bring out the old books to see what MV's really done in the past before saying "...never done before...". And I seem to better NOT try the Rivale...
I don't understand the point of this review.. I would be able to do it in 6 seconds. Hello welcome to mcn today we have two motorcycles that are like sex on wheels goodbye. Just kidding I love watching you guys, cheers from Croatia from a mito rider :)
Why is it that you guys at MCN cannot get the audio correct on your videos? MotoGeo, RideApart, and a slew of channels have better audio. You guys get access to so many incredible motorcycles and ruin the reviews by not getting your recording fundamentals down. I am a fan of your site, but the technical problems in your videos are frustrating. You have over 133 million views on your RUclips channel, ask one of your viewers for help. Surely one of them can give you guys some tips.
none of these bikes are supermoto? to fat to slow they total missing the point of what a supermoto is try getting 100kg with 80 bhp plus then we may be talking all they have done is nick the style of a supermoto and fed it cheesecake
MCN goes back to it's roots with audio quality!
I stopped watching at 1:58, audio just ruins the video, come on guys, us vloggers get better audio on nil budget using action cameras.

A great video as always!
the audio was sub-par but I did understand everything they said. I would love to have either one,,. David
very good comparison. i like both bikes and i'm really happy that MV at last made ride-by-wire working.
btw. what bad happened to the audio recording?
MCN, so much talent and knowledge ruined by incredibly poor execution of the final product. Audio on videos is consistently sub par. Great bikes....I'd take either.

lovely bikes, nice review
i can't decide which one i like more
I rode both- Purchased the ducati- Brutal power up to 145mph- never lets up

yup they never called it a super motard
Video is great. Audio is subpar. It was tough to make it through the video because of the audio. I still watched, but fix audio for next time.
wanna ride like Mike?
Michael Neeves is the GREATEST BIKE TESTER, that I know.
Keep pushing Michael..
4:00 "It's very un-MV-like in many ways." ... "Yeah, it's really good."
Another bike I can't afford. NICE, thanks a lot.
i'd still take the ducati 7 days a week. nothing against mv, but if it is about the riding experience, there's nothing more fun than the hypermotard.
but the new ktm1290superduke is going to rain on everyone's parade.
love you guy but a little higher in volume please…..(huh)….
Can you put subtitles in this video. These guys are speaking something like English, but I can't quite understand.
how does the rivale looks like a supermoto? honestly it looks like a more beefed up brutale.
Nuralif Othman exactly, its a bloody street fighter. Looks nothing like a supermoto
Aaron Hawkins in fact the Rivale isn't a supermoto, but is's a different styled naked with a "supermoto" riding position, as well as the MT09/FZ09. If we want to be precize, even the Hypermotard isn't a supermoto, but a naked with a motard style
Yes But at least I don't need to squint at the hypermotard to c it's motard qualities
+Nuralif Othman Handguards, hight located, supermotostyled frontlight, riding position, pretty thin frame etc.
Did chad just say ohlins front and rear? Doesn't the Ducati come with marzocchi front end?
SP comes with ohlins, i just replaced mine with WP front & rear..
MrKdr500 You own one, do you ? You obviously didn't notice the Marzocchi badge on the front forks.
You are right, both the standard model and the SP have Marzocchi front forks.
Martin Burslam yes marzocchi front ohlins rear but i replaced front & rear with WP, sorry if it sounded like ohlins front. And yes i did own one just sold it to buy the 1290 super duke.
Seriously why don't you buy a proper microphone? Get one for Christmas at least!! :-(
Why won't you let us hear the bikes, minus any sound or voice over?
I could not understand one word they said? Sub-titles please? The accent is cool and all, but the back and forth quick banter is lost in translation especially when the music and the mic's are a total fail. So they go back down the mountain and then it just fades to black.....?
agreed. I don't know wtf they were saying.
Did Ducati make the Hypermotard more reliable then previous years?
the hypermotard 1100 with the old air cooled engine that i have, didn't had many problems as far i can find? the newer ones or the old 796 are the ones with the electronic problems in it.
Ducati the best!!!
Neither of those bikes are supermotos. They're neat bikes though.
Should do a 3 way with the Superduke as well once it is out.
Have you tried the Hypermotard SP? I went for a test ride on it the other day and trust me, it is a supermoto, feels like your sat on a dirt bike!

7h3647h32in6 Yeah you cant tell the weight difference that much from like a DRZ, not once your riding anyway.
I would probably agree with that more than the general SM case.
Neevesy. You better bring out the old books to see what MV's really done in the past before saying "...never done before...".
And I seem to better NOT try the Rivale...
Audio is shite, c'mon MCN!
Arenot rivale 80+ hp?
I don't understand the point of this review.. I would be able to do it in 6 seconds. Hello welcome to mcn today we have two motorcycles that are like sex on wheels goodbye. Just kidding I love watching you guys, cheers from Croatia from a mito rider :)
Once they get over the 140kg mark it's hard to call it a supermoto.
they're hypermotards don't know why MCN call them supermotards?
It winds me up! They're good bikes but take them on a proper moto track with jumps and they'll fall to bits.
Why is it that you guys at MCN cannot get the audio correct on your videos?
MotoGeo, RideApart, and a slew of channels have better audio.

I can't deal with the audio quality...
Should have come with sub-titles...what the hell did they say
Bet you lot wish you'd bought one now.... :D
Still prefer my Hyper 796.
i hate flashes in between cuts!!!!
Same! Only noticing it even more now though haha
This never hit my feed, so I'm a bit late... BUT, I will just say...Neevsey, you lost :-)
Just a guess.... but was this video sponsored by Firelli? (Yes, this is sarcasm)
The Ducati is 100% better to ride!!
Uuuuhm, they are hypermotos not supermotos :/
Hurting my eyes
Very very bad Video-Sound.
shitty sound?
You must be new around here =p
MV Agusta .. always overpriced .. i do´t buy it !
why the stupid pirelli stickers
Because PIRELLI!!! XD
