In the early 90’s I was racing the Canadian National Roadracing in Vancouver Canada, I remember watching Gary Goodfellow who is from New Zealand racing the Britton at that race. He was pitted right beside me, incredible motorcycle.
Holy smokes. That Britten is an absolute legend. Love your Duke also. Great to meet you man. I’m filming the Isle of Man TT this year for a documentary. Super excited. I’m a lifelong motorcycle junkie.
@@TedNemeth There are only 2 road race circuits left in New Zealand, both short circuits, we sometimes get European racers coming down for them as they are off season for the Euros. Search: Cemetery Circuit and Greymouth street races, there are alot of videos of them on YT. Others that have gone now include Paeroa street races, Methven Street races, Auckland street races, Whangerei street races, Invercargill street races, (At the Burt Munroe Challange week), See my video of this awesome 2 wheeled event here: ruclips.net/video/ncISDWtYCXI/видео.html
Nice to see your film of Nick riding the Britten. I sponsored Nick when he rode the Britten at the TT 30 years back, as we made and supplied his leather race suit.
Nice to see the Britten powering around Ruapuna again. I filmed a little of the last one being put together at the Britten workshop in Carlisle St, Christchurch some years ago now. We also captured video of that last made bike along with an earlier one racing around Ruapuna, alone but together. Spine tingling stuff. Cheers mate.
Over thirty years old and the Britten still makes other bikes look old fashioned!
That's true, still looks awesome!!!!!!! A lot of the companies that worked to build it are still operating in Christchurch too......

Cool that you were so close. I think Gary is still active in the Facebook groups a bit......

Same one he still fits? It looked well used and still in good shape. I definitely would not fit my leathers from 30 years ago any more!
@@DustyVisorMotorcycles you and me both not fitting leathers from 30 years back...lol.
