You should do a boundary waters trip, catch lake trout, walleye, smallmouth, northern etc... for a few days with camping. would be a great video series.
i like the freshwater videos, its a nice change of pace from the normal videos. changing it up once in a while is a good thing.....even if its one freshwater video for every 4 or 5 saltwater vids
I’m going home to Canandaigua in two weeks for a vacation. My brother and I will try your jigging tips. Thanks so much for this Elias, we’ve never targeted trout past May because he doesn’t have a down rigging device. Hopefully we won’t need it!
Excellent video. May I ask why you are using DownScan vs. 2D/CHIRP? Is it because of the depth or structure you are fishing? I’m curious because I have Hook4 and virtually never use DS. Maybe I’m missing out. Thanks for all you do. Always interesting and informative.
Hey! I have been watching your videos for informational purposes because I'm here fishing Cayuga Lake / upstate NY right now. I have been struggling to catch anything today, and wonder if you might want to link up tomorrow. Just like you, I'm a kayak fisherman, and Im also filming for my RUclips channel. I would be happy with any fish, but I've been angling for a big brown! Im staying at the south end of Cayuga. I appreciate any help!
How are these lakers so aggressive to chase your swimbait? Everytime I fish for them they will follow my bait all the way to 40-50 ft and then go back down to the bottom. It’s quite frustrating. Any tips would help! Thanks
Hey Elias, I busted my 180 Drive on my Outback. Is it a big deal if I get a GT drive to replace it? I do mostly saltwater salmon fishing and don’t really need the reverse
Got to go way bigger on those baits to entice the big ones. I personally use nothing less then your original shads. People i go with use nothing less then 8 inch plastics. Most of what we're catching are 30+ inches (on west coast). They primarily feed on kokanee and trout here at least.
Elias I tank you for pointing out the fish on the fish finger,, but I gotta say that I really could not see anything on your screen,,,,, I guess it was really small mark
@@GrimReaper68440 you should go to that states fishing regulatory agency website for legal size and possession limits....they may change from year to year.
Elias, you have been a big inspiration to me man. I bought a quest 13 this spring, took it to NYC trying for Fluke... I did alright. But my goal is to catch the porgies limit one day like you did before. This vid was Awesome.

Elias, have you ever done any freshwater fishing since you've lived in North Carolina? I'd love to see you catch a big hybrid striper or gar.
Did a couple of vids in winter

Coming up from those depths, do the Lakers ever show the signs of decompression stress that some of the saltwater fish display?
Never had lakers have issues decompressing always release
Is this Cayuga?
Great fishing!
You make it look easy! I find lakers to be quite mysterious here in NE Tennessee.
Can jig em on Watauga
Nice catch!
Is there a size limit on those trout? And is there a quantity limit? If you want to keep some of those trout.
Yes, and yes.
@@rolandfero9742 which is?
You lost me...."which is ?"....uhh, you asked 2 questions, i gave you 2 answers. 🤔
What is the limit on size and quantity

Good video
Hey Elias would like to see your products in Eastern Outfitters (Hampstead) and East Coast Sports (Surf City) NC! Hope that's possible one day soon.
He has them in Wilmington tackle shop. I have not purchased any at tackle shops yet, I am stocked up from my Amazon purchase.

Gotta get back for that full moon

You're out fishing? You mean you're not at icast shilling for some overhyped bullcrap? J/K...Lol.
Great vid 👍
Lake trout make some odd goblin sounds.
Kayak rough on fin handling agreed
You need to be more aware of getting in hand
Why do you call them chickens by the way?
There the smaller fish and the best eaters
Made it in 10 minutes
