Great video, hope I have the same luck up there, going to Cayuga Lake on 6/23 for 4 days, I've been planning this trip since some of your first videos.
Yes! I really enjoyed the content and format of this video. I'm usually not thrilled over freshwater fishing, but, this video was special. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your visit to upstate NY!
Well done ... the planets aligned, and the fish were cooperative. Would love to see a catch & cook of the landlocked Salmon ... . Enjoy the cool weather. ( 102+ here )
I love salmon so much. They stock them up here in the Great Lakes, as well as a few inland lakes, but I don’t know too many people that can track them down in a yak.
Awesome video! As always haha. It would be cool to see you try get all 3 in an outing, a salmon, a brown and a laker, and do a catch and cook, comparing the fish. Tight lines and stay safe
That was awesome! What a great fishery there too! And for someone who says he doesn't know what he is doing, you sure are doing it right. haha Great stuff. That was fun. You have mad fishing skills man.
Assurance pleased. Yes, those Lake Trout are part of that "No more than 15 seconds out of the water, or you'll irreparably damage the gills" group. Seems like you got them back in pretty fast, so hopefully it wasn't just editing for RUclips making it seem so.
Nice! Lakers, when they are on, are super fun and exciting. Salmon fights are insane... never caught a brown trout. I need to get some good electronics for my new Old Town yak!
@@lukewilson3271 I really don't know. She ate most other fish-Small Mouthed and Large Mouthed Bass, Sun Fish, and Yellow Perch. Lake trout is an "oily" fish and the flesh is denser and less flaky than Rainbow or Brown trout
If you're ever up for a real road trip and since you're obviously good at hooking Lakers~ consider the Spring or Fall Mack Days events on Flathead Lake in Montana~ huge lake and always lots of prize money! I don't think anyone hooked "Jaws" the fish with a $10k tag ~
Thanks a lot pal! Because of your videos I’m now going to have to spend around $3,500 for an Old Town, fish finder & a trailer. But I am looking forward to it!
Hello Elias, would you ever consider doing a "on the water" tag along for a nominal fee? I live close to fingerlakes and just bought a fishing yak. fish finder etc. Just thought id ask..Thx for the videos. Sorry this is my sons acct..
That's awesome! We have land locked Atlantic salmon in 2 of our local resivours. They definitely are a rare catch for us and when we do get into them you usually get a few to bite.
I have a hummingbird just like that one as I am still getting used to it. Side imaging is awesome to have, but I just am not that great at reading it yet.
Thanks for giving us the depths! AND thanks for showing the fishfinder screen!
Nice change of pace with the salmon and trout. Good job Elias!
Great video, hope I have the same luck up there, going to Cayuga Lake on 6/23 for 4 days, I've been planning this trip since some of your first videos.
I'm always amazed at how you always figure them out. Keep it going.
Man I wish it was in the 50's here in Central Texas. Beautiful fish.

"Alright guys I'm gonna go catch some fishes" was the hardest I've laughed at a fishing video
Yea that got my ass
Me too !!!
@@andrewhirtle3525 sea money isnt funny to me.

What an amazing trip. So much fun watching this video.

Great adventure...thanks for taking us along.
Man, that second salmon fight was exciting!!!
I like your attitude toward fish as demonstrated with that salmon...you've got my vote!
Making me miss the finger lakes really bad right now. Love those landlocked salmon. 👍
Sir your a very cool nerd lol, love watching your clips when I can’t go and fish my self. Great work and cheers sir.
Awesome trip, thanks for sharing. Really excellent video, love the change of pace.
Love these trout/salmon episodes!! Thanks!
Love the salmon jumping and fighting and always enjoy how excited you get still when the fish turn on. Keep on jigging!!!
Atlantic Salmon ...... tasty, tasty. Great Video.
That custom night ranger is so pretty
Great video, glad Y'all are having fun up there.
Looked like a hellafun 2hr if I've ever seen one. Keep em comin bud
The acrobatics on those salmon were absurd
Epic bite! Love the 1 oz macks. I fish them in the coastal waters near Charleston.
That scenery looks absolutely stunning and the fish you were pulling in looked like slabs. I am totally jealous lol.
I love salmon so much. They stock them up here in the Great Lakes, as well as a few inland lakes, but I don’t know too many people that can track them down in a yak.
Flashbacks of A River Runs Through It.. Nice

It amazes me how easy he makes it look. Most people go on boats with down riggers and troll around for hours to catch them
Dang bro that wasn’t fishing that was catching!!! Congratulations those are days we live for!
You sounded happy in this video!
Elias are you letting it hit the bottom and just jigging off of it or dropping it to a specific depth jigging around there?
Always worth checking in.
Great videos 🎣
Good stuff man, you slayed them! About all you can ask for in a two hour session right there!
Should do a Catch Clean Cook Smoked Salmon. Yum!!
Living out our dreams for us Great video
no catch and cook on the salmon?
Nice lake trout !!!
Love the Fenwick hat!
Never saw Elias kayaking on jeans before. Very cool bro 😎. You make seemed so easy but it’s really not.
Assurance pleased.

I wanna know the physics and the set up of your kayak on the truck? Seems 👍. Do explain. 😊 thanks
Nice catching. Curious, which lake are you on? Thanks
What was the noise that sounded like a truck backing up?
Freshwater? What part of the country? Very cool video!!!……. Thank you 👍🎣

Is that Myers point?
A good video. What color is the salmon flesh for landlocked salmon?
great session. thanks for sharing
Like a boss. Excellent!
Absolutely love your trips to the finger lakes. Was that cayuga?
Shhh.
@@williamschramm2973 most weekend anglers could never dial it in like he does, plus those lakes are huge
Loving the mini mac's!!!!
What knots do you use for your braid to leader line?
Is this still up in the Finger Lakes ? Great video !!
How do you like your Frontier? Was this in Maine?
Awesome bro 🎣🎣like jigging game 😎👍
Nice lake trout. Native of Cayuga Lake. Had a cat that wouldn't eat lake trout, only brown's and rainbow's.
Why was the cat so picky?

Right in time for lunch vid =)
Nice video as always bro
What lake is that ?
Nice Video. Atlantic's def jump the most of any salmonid followed by steelhead.

Well, i make my artificial lures with silicone industrial myself and they look great. Fishing in Brazil.
Where are you fishing at
Well this might be a night fishing spot. Fitting the add i saw was for a head lamp.
Great video, one of your best
beauty salmon!
I love your set up.What electric motor is that.Is it remote.
Look up Old Town sportsman auto pilot.
Sick bite dude. Enjoyed the video. Why you not keep trout?
Great day!
What mold is that jig? Anyone know?
Great video
what were your most productive colors ? white?
Nice fish! Good video!
Elias, I have the same net as you. What did you use to keep it from constantly folding over?
Zip tie
Thank you!

great video
Nice Atlantics, they are beautiful face I had the opportunity 20 years ago to go to Maine and catch them out of the Creeks the federal League
Out of the creeks that fed the Lakes
E, I was under the impression that a lamprey killed the host fish all of the time. Guess not ....☺ turns out 45 to 75% survive ☺
Please do a cook and catch with an Atlantic salmon again!
So sickkk
Where's the big Bow's hiding at, you gotta get the slam.
And a brookie
Got some dinner!!
Watching From philippines, Fish On
Can they survive after with their air bladder blew up like that?
Lakers have an air bladder connection to their mouth. They can “belch”.
Wachya doowin?
Uh... I was gonna go fishing. Lol
Do you let your fish decompress when they’re that deep
Not sure about salmon but lake trout have the ability to burp their air out as they rise. They dont suffer from barotrauma (a.k.a. the bends).
That's awesome! We have land locked Atlantic salmon in 2 of our local resivours. They definitely are a rare catch for us and when we do get into them you usually get a few to bite.
Kokanee?
Can you do a catch clean cook on trout
Atlantic’s are no joke
Awesome
Wonder if the bait you are seeing are alewifes moving into to spawn 🤔
SALMON CATCH & COOK
The clipped fin is the "Adipose" fin.
in this case it was the pectoral fin. they rotate fins depending on year stocked to quickly track age and stock success
👍👍👍👍
Almost makes me want to get a graph
I have a hummingbird just like that one as I am still getting used to it. Side imaging is awesome to have, but I just am not that great at reading it yet.
👍👍🙏
There’s a reason why they call Atlantic Salmon, both landlocked and sea-run “leapers”
Where's the small mouth, walleye and big old northern Pike ??? Go hit some shallow boulder piles
