They really didn't marry after their first kiss. When Charming woke her they already knew each other for a while, and then there was a long period before they married when they fought the evil queen and Charming's "father"
A Meyers probably only watched the first episode which is not adequate enough to understand the intricacies and development overall, but given his workload that is understandable. I am huge fan of Once Upon A time and Lana Parilla.

Octogon Smuggler I think Disney like funds some of the show or something so that’s why it’s like that because a lot of it follows Disney’s portrayal of the shows. Also if you go to Disney world they have posters up all over the place promoting the show and even have a replica of rumplestiltskens shop in the hollywood area of the park

I do know a little bit about the original Cinderella and in once upon a time I'm pretty sure they based it off the Disney version, not the original.
Tbh it’s a pretty good show It’s called Once Upon A Time like what do people expect It just gets a bit confusing Like I really enjoyed Regina's ( the evil queen ) story line it was just very well thought out
I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS AND GIVE YOUR OPINION My Favorite Character actually is rumpelstiltskin even tho some of the stuff that he did to his loved one was messed up I loved to get to know him more as a character. In his original book it doesn’t talk about him much all we get is *he can spin gold *and that dumb song that talks about his name That’s really all we got on him but in this series it opens his character a little more to the man he was to the man that is to the man that he will become and I love that.
I honestley think Pan was the best is only watched to the end of season 3 but he was an amazingly well written villain puts an evil twist on someone we grew up thinking of as the good guy and kept him intresting with some family ties and origional twists
keyboard masher I agree both of these characters are shown from different light in this show which makes them most interesting of all especially to figure out that Pan was a father was shocking.
All these people saying Emma falling in love with Hook is the best part, while that is cute and all, are we forgetting Sebastian Stan playing Mad Hatter?
I can't believe most of my fave characters were villians. Like the Evil queen, Rumplestiltskin, Hook and in Season 3 I had a huge crush on Peter pan 😅😊
it's honestly a really good show with a really interesting plot! the last season sucked but the rest was really very clever and well written imho 🤷🏻♀️
Just watching one episode isn't enough. The series definitely has countless gushy laughable/nauseating moments but I think its appeal is how all the characters are interconnected, the parallels in the old world vs Storybrooke despite the characters not knowing who they are, the back stories and character development. It definitely has flaws but the complex intricate story lines are addicting.
goldfishcrayon that’s exactly why I was drawn to the show. Its biggest flaw is that some lines were so predictable you could finish their sentences before they were done delivering them. I love the intricate mesh of stories and how they fleshed out personalities.
i think the most irritating thing about it as, at least from what i’ve seen of the first few seasons, the show had really good potential. it was an interesting concept. but it really eroded a lot of its own characterization, even within the first season, and the dialogue is frustratingly bad. there’s also no self awareness in a show which frankly isn’t good enough to take itself completely seriously. idk i’ve been rewatching it recently and i guess i’m just upset that a good idea wasn’t translated to screen well, because i wish it had been.
Some of their storylines are pretty fun, IMO. I really liked seasons 2-3, and how they tied in the Peter Pan story. I also liked how they changed some of the main characteristics we've always 'known' about some of the stories

But if Ursula hadn't interfered Ariel would have gotten kissed on the second day. That's like saying you give someone a 100 Dollar, if they manage to stand on one leg for 5 minutes and then breaking their legs once they'd agreed. Of course Ursula could've mentioned this in the contract. We don't know. Ariel certainly didn't read it, in fact she close her f**king eyes while signing it! So I guess the morale of the story is, always read you contracts, kids!

I always read the comments under these videos and all of the comments are full of hate and then you come to Once Upon A Time and everyone's like: "Nah it wasn't that bad" xD I have to be honest most of my friends stopped watching because the pilot was so cheesy, but the ones that decided to continue fell in love with the show and now are completely obsessed with it :P

Almost everyone’s favorite character is Regina (the evil queen) and Killian (Captain Hook came in the second season) OUAT is the best u just have to push through season 4 and 7. But the 3 and 5 season is the best and no one can say otherwise😂
I used to love this show. It was so fun to watch even though it was cheesy as hell, but heck, it packed some cool surprises and incredibly entertaining moments, but boy, does it have it pitfalls, especially later on. I had to drop by the end of season 6, but I have fond memories of having a fun time with the show. It was a good ride, even if by the end it ran out of gas.
I actually love this show but I understand these points. However this is based only on the first episode and its been a while since I watched it but I think its deliberately cheesy and predictable at first to present it as a traditional fairytale with very stereotypical good and bad characters. As the show progresses this breaks down and the backstory of pretty much everyone is shown in detail (for example the story behind snow white and prince charming is way more interesting than in the original story and is actually believable). The bad guys have lots of good in them too and the good guys aren't perfect. They all feel a lot more genuine later on, which is one of the reasons I love it.

The one who wrote the stories in the book used the power wrong and was locked away. Long story short after they defeat that author, Henry is selected to become the next author by the wizard Merlin assistant.
Actually, unlike the animated Disney movie, Snow in OUAT knew and was in love with David (Charming) for at lest a year before the kiss shown. Most likely, David proposed a couple of weeks after that and married her six - twelve months later.
Henry growing up and having his own kid ruined the show, I did not like the last season. Plus, why is there 2 Cinderella’s? I never got that! Some one explain that to me!

I don't understand how you can call it dumb. It's fairytale, it's supposted to be unrealistic. Most of us loved fairytales when we were kids. This is like version when you're older. Even adults can watch it. For me, it reminds me childhood, it reminds me how i truly believed in these stories. And it gives me hope at some point. I can forget about all bad things that happenned and just relax, slow down for 40 minutes (probably more tbh). I don't think I'm alone. For all shows I've ever seen, this is the most UNDERRATED (+ YOU). Which is terrible for such amazing job. Directors, actors, make-up and hair artists, lighting, WRITERS - they did such a great job. Give it a chance at least.

I just want to say, this show gets really good after a few episodes. It is a bit complicated at the start, but trust me, there is so much in this show that you will love. Each season is unique and awesome. (Definitely not bisas but this is my favorite show)
One point to make, although you wouldn't know this from just watching the first episode... in OUAT, Snow & Charming didn't get married after their first kiss... In fact, they met after she tried to rob him and hit him in the head with a rock (which is so much better lol no 😂) But yeah, definitely agree with the other stuff, even though it's one of my favorite shows...
There are two things I enjoyed about season 7....seeing Hook as a father (with Alice and with Hope) and Rumple's sacrifice for Killian at the end and his reunion with his beautiful Belle. That's it. I LOATHED the pairing of Henry and Cinderella. They could have paired him with anyone and made it really fun and interesting and instead, they choose the most overused Disney Princess period. We've SEEN Cinderella before. Why not choose another Princess? Tiana? Wendy? Jane? Kida? Tiger Lily? Esmeralda? Maybe focus on a character that wasn't featured much in the first seasons. They had NO chemistry at all....nothing made their relationship interesting or unique (including his bond with Lucy which was a perfect recreation of Henry's bond with Emma right down to her showing up at his apartment with a damn storybook .) Indeed, he had more chemistry with Ivy/Drizella than he did with "Jacinda", was it? I also hated the fact that while they DID make Regina "the Good Queen", they didn't give her a love interest. Why NOT reunite her with Robin (or someone else). That's actually the only other thing I DID like was that it WASN'T a True Love's Kiss between Henry and Jacinda that broke the curse, but between Henry and his mother, Regina. That was good. I HATED the villains they chose. While it was nice to see a new villain, they were all boring and lacked the creativity of past villains (like Rumple and The Evil Queen and so on)

I would argue that Ariel was a sheltered, privileged 16 year old with raging hormones whose father had just violated her privacy and destroyed her collection, something so precious to her she sang the movie's Big Song about it. And that at the very moment she was most vulnerable, a practiced and experienced con artist with a literal garden of previous victims, preyed on her vulnerability, inexperience, and unstable emotional state to literally fast talk her into signing a vague contract-with no parent or guardian present-in which Ursula retained all of the advantage and Ariel was more or less at the mercy of forces outside of her control, and had to do her best with what she had; only for Ursula to come in at the last minute to meddle with the agreement behind Ariel's back. And let's not forget that Ursula's whole deal was with Triton, not Ariel. She set out to endanger and possibly kill or enslave an innocent girl for alleged crimes her father, not she, but her FATHER commited. At the moment of signing, Ariel was frightened, confused, naive, and very recently betrayed and terrorized by the man she was supposed to be able to trust. Ursula had spent some time spying on Ariel through her eels and so knew not only of her fascination with the surface world, but also that Triton had JUST shattered her faith in him and turned himself into the monster to escape from, which placed Ursula in the perfect spot to present herself as salvation and escape. She knew Ariel was infatuated with a human, knew she had a lifelong dream of meeting humans in person, and knew she'd likely never get another chance like this. Remember that Ariel didn't seek out the sea witch, Flotsom and Jetsam brought her to Ursula while she was crying alone on the sea floor. That's not the MO of an innocent business woman, those are the tactics of a cult leader. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I was really into the first season, but then they kept changing the goal of the show, break the curse, get back to their world, save Henry, etc and then they had that whole frozen story arc, that killed it for me, so many other stories and characters got one episode, one scene, or nothing and the new characters get a whole season.
@@lottiesmall851I think a lot of complaints about the show was missed potential, so many plot holes and overall craziness of the show, as well as having to make all the villains eventually redeemable. I’m a big fan of the show and still love it, but a lot of us can accept that the show got lazier with the writing. Every season the show was losing like 1-2 million average viewers until it was at about 2 million for season 7 as opposed to season 2-3 where it was at 10 million.

this show has changed my life, I found it at a time I was depressed and didn't want to do anything (I live in a place where there's war going on) and it gave me a push to try to be hopeful and believe in a better tomorrow, I'm a lot better now and I know what I want so .. Honestly as a person who has watched the show about 10 times over I can't really get bored of it. I understand people have different opinions about this show but to me its always going to be a favorite because I first watched it as a younger kid and fell in love with it. Its a childhood favorite show that I hope returns. I understand some of the lines or acting was cringy (trust me I had to fast forward when the evil queen and rumpelstiltskin had a "thing" for each other) but overall its a good show! :)
Once Upon a time was one of the best shows I ever watched, like it was so complex and good I just fell in love with it since I was a little-ish kid... But season 7 was TRASHSHHSGS DONT @ME
I gave up halfway through S6 but eventually finished the season. I don't feel the need to watch S7 and am happy with how season 6 ended. Also, I love how when you actually watch the show countless times and you know every little detail you just say, "Nah, the show makes perfect sense" when everyone else is so confused by its complexity.

I love the first six seasons of Once Upon A Time, I found it to be really great, and the writing was brilliant. Season 7 was a fucking disaster though, and the reason why the show was cancelled
I was low-key okay with the finale of s6 and wasn't expecting s7 so when it came I assumed it must be really good If they made an extra season but I was so wrong it was a fucking disaster

Yessss i pushed thru the first 3 episodes but got so annoyed with season 7 that I skipped to the last 3 because supposedly those are the only ones that where slightly interesting
I think you should watch a few more episodes, because with every episode it gets more in depth about every story. Yeah it’s cheesy, and corny, but in this version Snow and Charming actually got to know each other for a while before getting married. Before she ate the apple too. And I also just wanna see your reactions to it again.
Once Upon a Time was a rollercoaster, but a fantastic one. Like, once upon a time (haha) I was asked to list some of my favorite shows and when I said OUaT, someone replied that OUaT was garbage. It was around season 3 and I couldn't even argue, only say "Yeah but it's _REALLY_ indulgent garbage." There were some dips through season 3-5 especially. The second half of season 3, the Wicked Witch arc, might have been the lowest point imo, and I feel like it's around where a lot of fans fell out of it. Then there were a lot of arcs ranging from "great overall with a few really weird decisions that detract in places" to "starting to wonder if the show really is going downhi-- OH SNAP okay that was clever as fuck, moments like _that_ are why I'm still watching, huh", lol. BUT THEN, season 6 really did start delivering consistent quality again, and season *7* was *phenomenal* no matter how much flack it gets. So many fans who'd stayed for 6 seasons dropped out of season 7 because "we already had a perfect series finale, why drag it out more with this soft reboot", etc. But no. NO. Listen. Now that it's aired? *_THAT_* was a *_PERFECT_* series finale-- or about as close as can be expected of such a long-running show with such short cancellation notice. There were a few old characters I'd have liked see tie up loose ends, but with a cast this size the fact that not literally-everyone appeared is entirely forgivable. Aside from that, it was so, SO good. Without spoiling too much, there's a character who keeps hopping back and forth between redemption and being drawn back to evil (actually two, though the second is more toned down in execution). Season 6's finale gave both very big redeeming moments, and ending on that would have been... okay. But we've seen them have redeeming _moments_ before. Season 7 gave us time to see without any doubt that this time, it stuck, and for one delivered a very, VERY compelling follow-up. And while season 6 gave Emma her happy ending / Happy Beginning, leaving off on just that would been a little underwhelming on Regina's end. She got some great moments in season 6, but things would have felt a bit incomplete. Season 7 gave her everything she deserved and it was so, so satisfying. Not to mention a lot of the new characters were great, and. JUST. THE. CONCLUSION. The solution for never getting separated again. Was so perfect I'm still screaming. Anyone who wasn't sure if OUaT was worth sticking to until the end: It is. Please go watch it. It can certainly be garbage at times but it's such wonderfully good garbage. ;v;
EssGee totally agree about how fantastic the latter half of S7 is! The finale was literally perfect, even better than S6, and even though it was weird having Emma out of the picture, it allowed Regina, Rumple, and kind of Henry to finally get endings they deserved. For me, the Camelot stuff in S5 was the lowest point. It just kept dragging.

Madelynn King I haven’t watched in a while but pretty much the only plot twist is that these characters are somehow related (gold and Neal, pan and gold, zelena and Regina) and that one where zelena pretended to be Marian, which would have been a good plot twist if they actually mentioned the fact that she raped robin

Sebastien Tyrell there is an actual legal term for rape by impersonation. Rape by fraud or something similar. If you pretend to be someone you are not to get sex, especially by impersonating that person's existing partner it's definitely a form of rape.
Even tho season 7 was not as interesting as the rest it still had the best ending a show could have, everyone was happy. I loved how it all worked out, and how everyone showed up to film the ending, and how they didn’t kill any main charachters for shock value.
I didn't mind the first and second (and third? Whatever is before Peter Pan) seasons. When they added Frozen I gave up. Edit: Rumbelle is the only reason I ever come back to it.

Regina (Evil queen) had the most character development from everyone else in that show.

That’s really all we got on him but in this series it opens his character a little more to the man he was to the man that is to the man that he will become and I love that.
I honestley think Pan was the best is only watched to the end of season 3 but he was an amazingly well written villain puts an evil twist on someone we grew up thinking of as the good guy and kept him intresting with some family ties and origional twists

Just watching one episode isn't enough. The series definitely has countless gushy laughable/nauseating moments but I think its appeal is how all the characters are interconnected, the parallels in the old world vs Storybrooke despite the characters not knowing who they are, the back stories and character development. It definitely has flaws but the complex intricate story lines are addicting.
goldfishcrayon that’s exactly why I was drawn to the show. Its biggest flaw is that some lines were so predictable you could finish their sentences before they were done delivering them. I love the intricate mesh of stories and how they fleshed out personalities.
i think the most irritating thing about it as, at least from what i’ve seen of the first few seasons, the show had really good potential. it was an interesting concept. but it really eroded a lot of its own characterization, even within the first season, and the dialogue is frustratingly bad. there’s also no self awareness in a show which frankly isn’t good enough to take itself completely seriously. idk i’ve been rewatching it recently and i guess i’m just upset that a good idea wasn’t translated to screen well, because i wish it had been.

Some of their storylines are pretty fun, IMO. I really liked seasons 2-3, and how they tied in the Peter Pan story. I also liked how they changed some of the main characteristics we've always 'known' about some of the stories

I used to love this show. It was so fun to watch even though it was cheesy as hell, but heck, it packed some cool surprises and incredibly entertaining moments, but boy, does it have it pitfalls, especially later on.
I had to drop by the end of season 6, but I have fond memories of having a fun time with the show. It was a good ride, even if by the end it ran out of gas.

I actually love this show but I understand these points. However this is based only on the first episode and its been a while since I watched it but I think its deliberately cheesy and predictable at first to present it as a traditional fairytale with very stereotypical good and bad characters. As the show progresses this breaks down and the backstory of pretty much everyone is shown in detail (for example the story behind snow white and prince charming is way more interesting than in the original story and is actually believable). The bad guys have lots of good in them too and the good guys aren't perfect. They all feel a lot more genuine later on, which is one of the reasons I love it.

Actually, unlike the animated Disney movie, Snow in OUAT knew and was in love with David (Charming) for at lest a year before the kiss shown. Most likely, David proposed a couple of weeks after that and married her six - twelve months later.

I don't understand how you can call it dumb. It's fairytale, it's supposted to be unrealistic. Most of us loved fairytales when we were kids. This is like version when you're older. Even adults can watch it. For me, it reminds me childhood, it reminds me how i truly believed in these stories. And it gives me hope at some point. I can forget about all bad things that happenned and just relax, slow down for 40 minutes (probably more tbh). I don't think I'm alone. For all shows I've ever seen, this is the most UNDERRATED (+ YOU). Which is terrible for such amazing job. Directors, actors, make-up and hair artists, lighting, WRITERS - they did such a great job. Give it a chance at least.

I just want to say, this show gets really good after a few episodes. It is a bit complicated at the start, but trust me, there is so much in this show that you will love. Each season is unique and awesome. (Definitely not bisas but this is my favorite show)

One point to make, although you wouldn't know this from just watching the first episode... in OUAT, Snow & Charming didn't get married after their first kiss... In fact, they met after she tried to rob him and hit him in the head with a rock (which is so much better lol no 😂) But yeah, definitely agree with the other stuff, even though it's one of my favorite shows...

I think season 7 was boring and unnecessary, but the timelines and plot twists are really clever. I think we know the characters a lot too.
There are two things I enjoyed about season 7....seeing Hook as a father (with Alice and with Hope) and Rumple's sacrifice for Killian at the end and his reunion with his beautiful Belle. That's it. I LOATHED the pairing of Henry and Cinderella. They could have paired him with anyone and made it really fun and interesting and instead, they choose the most overused Disney Princess period. We've SEEN Cinderella before. Why not choose another Princess? Tiana? Wendy? Jane? Kida? Tiger Lily? Esmeralda? Maybe focus on a character that wasn't featured much in the first seasons. They had NO chemistry at all....nothing made their relationship interesting or unique (including his bond with Lucy which was a perfect recreation of Henry's bond with Emma right down to her showing up at his apartment with a damn storybook .) Indeed, he had more chemistry with Ivy/Drizella than he did with "Jacinda", was it? I also hated the fact that while they DID make Regina "the Good Queen", they didn't give her a love interest. Why NOT reunite her with Robin (or someone else). That's actually the only other thing I DID like was that it WASN'T a True Love's Kiss between Henry and Jacinda that broke the curse, but between Henry and his mother, Regina. That was good. I HATED the villains they chose. While it was nice to see a new villain, they were all boring and lacked the creativity of past villains (like Rumple and The Evil Queen and so on)

I would argue that Ariel was a sheltered, privileged 16 year old with raging hormones whose father had just violated her privacy and destroyed her collection, something so precious to her she sang the movie's Big Song about it. And that at the very moment she was most vulnerable, a practiced and experienced con artist with a literal garden of previous victims, preyed on her vulnerability, inexperience, and unstable emotional state to literally fast talk her into signing a vague contract-with no parent or guardian present-in which Ursula retained all of the advantage and Ariel was more or less at the mercy of forces outside of her control, and had to do her best with what she had; only for Ursula to come in at the last minute to meddle with the agreement behind Ariel's back.
And let's not forget that Ursula's whole deal was with Triton, not Ariel. She set out to endanger and possibly kill or enslave an innocent girl for alleged crimes her father, not she, but her FATHER commited.
At the moment of signing, Ariel was frightened, confused, naive, and very recently betrayed and terrorized by the man she was supposed to be able to trust. Ursula had spent some time spying on Ariel through her eels and so knew not only of her fascination with the surface world, but also that Triton had JUST shattered her faith in him and turned himself into the monster to escape from, which placed Ursula in the perfect spot to present herself as salvation and escape. She knew Ariel was infatuated with a human, knew she had a lifelong dream of meeting humans in person, and knew she'd likely never get another chance like this.
Remember that Ariel didn't seek out the sea witch, Flotsom and Jetsam brought her to Ursula while she was crying alone on the sea floor. That's not the MO of an innocent business woman, those are the tactics of a cult leader.

I was really into the first season, but then they kept changing the goal of the show, break the curse, get back to their world, save Henry, etc and then they had that whole frozen story arc, that killed it for me, so many other stories and characters got one episode, one scene, or nothing and the new characters get a whole season.

I’m a big fan of the show and still love it, but a lot of us can accept that the show got lazier with the writing. Every season the show was losing like 1-2 million average viewers until it was at about 2 million for season 7 as opposed to season 2-3 where it was at 10 million.

Honestly as a person who has watched the show about 10 times over I can't really get bored of it. I understand people have different opinions about this show but to me its always going to be a favorite because I first watched it as a younger kid and fell in love with it. Its a childhood favorite show that I hope returns. I understand some of the lines or acting was cringy (trust me I had to fast forward when the evil queen and rumpelstiltskin had a "thing" for each other) but overall its a good show! :)

I gave up halfway through S6 but eventually finished the season. I don't feel the need to watch S7 and am happy with how season 6 ended. Also, I love how when you actually watch the show countless times and you know every little detail you just say, "Nah, the show makes perfect sense" when everyone else is so confused by its complexity.

I think you should watch a few more episodes, because with every episode it gets more in depth about every story. Yeah it’s cheesy, and corny, but in this version Snow and Charming actually got to know each other for a while before getting married. Before she ate the apple too. Once Upon a Time was a rollercoaster, but a fantastic one. Like, once upon a time (haha) I was asked to list some of my favorite shows and when I said OUaT, someone replied that OUaT was garbage. It was around season 3 and I couldn't even argue, only say "Yeah but it's _REALLY_ indulgent garbage."
There were some dips through season 3-5 especially. The second half of season 3, the Wicked Witch arc, might have been the lowest point imo, and I feel like it's around where a lot of fans fell out of it. Then there were a lot of arcs ranging from "great overall with a few really weird decisions that detract in places" to "starting to wonder if the show really is going downhi-- OH SNAP okay that was clever as fuck, moments like _that_ are why I'm still watching, huh", lol. BUT THEN, season 6 really did start delivering consistent quality again, and season *7* was *phenomenal* no matter how much flack it gets.
So many fans who'd stayed for 6 seasons dropped out of season 7 because "we already had a perfect series finale, why drag it out more with this soft reboot", etc. But no. NO. Listen. Now that it's aired? *_THAT_* was a *_PERFECT_* series finale-- or about as close as can be expected of such a long-running show with such short cancellation notice. There were a few old characters I'd have liked see tie up loose ends, but with a cast this size the fact that not literally-everyone appeared is entirely forgivable. Aside from that, it was so, SO good.
Without spoiling too much, there's a character who keeps hopping back and forth between redemption and being drawn back to evil (actually two, though the second is more toned down in execution). Season 6's finale gave both very big redeeming moments, and ending on that would have been... okay. But we've seen them have redeeming _moments_ before. Season 7 gave us time to see without any doubt that this time, it stuck, and for one delivered a very, VERY compelling follow-up. And while season 6 gave Emma her happy ending / Happy Beginning, leaving off on just that would been a little underwhelming on Regina's end. She got some great moments in season 6, but things would have felt a bit incomplete. Season 7 gave her everything she deserved and it was so, so satisfying. Not to mention a lot of the new characters were great, and. JUST. THE. CONCLUSION. The solution for never getting separated again. Was so perfect I'm still screaming.
Anyone who wasn't sure if OUaT was worth sticking to until the end: It is. Please go watch it. It can certainly be garbage at times but it's such wonderfully good garbage. ;v;
EssGee totally agree about how fantastic the latter half of S7 is! The finale was literally perfect, even better than S6, and even though it was weird having Emma out of the picture, it allowed Regina, Rumple, and kind of Henry to finally get endings they deserved. For me, the Camelot stuff in S5 was the lowest point. It just kept dragging.
Yeah the Camelot plot was truly terrible, and Merlin was the biggest disappointment ever

Sebastien Tyrell there is an actual legal term for rape by impersonation. Rape by fraud or something similar. If you pretend to be someone you are not to get sex, especially by impersonating that person's existing partner it's definitely a form of rape.
Even tho season 7 was not as interesting as the rest it still had the best ending a show could have, everyone was happy. I loved how it all worked out, and how everyone showed up to film the ending, and how they didn’t kill any main charachters for shock value.
