You know, guy gets taken off and a few hours later he's out the hospital and back at practice within a week or a few weeks. But this? Ain't no precaution on this one, this looked like it hurt, bad.

Makes you wonder whether changing the boards to have some give would be a good idea. Of course we can never remove all risk from hockey, we shouldn't bubble-wrap everything, but having these guys hit ultra-hard boards going 20+ mph causes so many injuries. Maybe just an inch or two of some kind of stiff but flexible material covering the boards all around, with a tough skin on top to keep it from getting ripped up.

From the coyotes INJURY UPDATE: Coyotes forward Clayton Keller suffered a leg injury in the third period of tonight’s game vs. San Jose. Keller has been transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The Coyotes will provide an update on his status tomorrow.
I went into the boards in a similar way, fractured my right femur right in the middle. Surgery the next morning and a solid 9 months of recovery. What a brutal incident. Heard he had surgery already, hoping he can make a fully recovery from this fall.
We have about 11 people injured in our team right now and now another. Such a horrible way to hit the boards . I hope he heals fully and is okay . I hate seeing our own take another injury
waayyyyy too many stretchers this year.... It was already too many when 1 team has seen it 3 times this year (Chicago) but it seems to be a more common thing this season

The Sharks are my All-time favorite team and they always will be. I've also been a fan of the Coyotes too for many years because of their nice jerseys and I've always wanted the Arizona franchise to be as successful as they should be. I hope it’s like a hyper-extension or something else that won’t keep him out of the game for a while. No matter the team, it’s always hard to watch a player get hurt and stretchered off the ice Except for Tom Wilson, he can get railed and I’d cheer.
I immediately thought femur. He never moved either leg. I went into the boards like that and fractured my femur. Could have been a hip dislocation, but that’s wishful thinking. Poor kid.
You hate to see it. Absolutely terrible when your a young player and get a horrific injury. It can affect tour whole career, especially a leg injury from getting cramps and thing like that. He's such a good, young prospect and hopes to a speedy recovery Clayton. 🙏
man that was a gnarly injury to his knee! I hope he has a quick and easy recovery. I gotta say though, I'm relieved it's just his leg because after reading the video title I was expecting a neck or back injury 😬

Keller’s gotta get on that mcdavid recovery plan. Get him in that hyperbolic chamber and hopefully reduce how long he will be out for. This is terrible to see and hope for a speedy recovery

A few things. Why is the stretcher so far away and after years in the medical field, where is the sense of urgency from the medical staff? I’d hate to be laying on the ice watching them walk around like they’re at the mall

Hate seeing falls like that. Very similar to the one that Kevin Fiala had. Figured it was the leg or femur when he was holding his thigh like that. Long recovery but should be able to get back to 100% like Fiala did.
Nothing turns my stomach to knots quite like knee injuries. Hope it’s not too serious and he has a swift and complete recovery.
I don't think that was his knee. It looked like he dislocated his hip or broke his pelvis. Although he could have hurt a knee for sure too.
