You never like watching someone get hurt like this in a game, but what I do enjoy watching is how the players come together at an incident like this. These two teams hate each other. Big rivals! But in the end they are all hockey players and are in there for the same reason, hockey player to hockey player. In the end it's all respect.

When they show that much humanity, care, concern and respect that makes all these players and coaches alike real class acts. Most of the bigger rivals in almost any sport are actually great friends when not in a head-to-head competition. Even the fans showed class and decorum. Watching this gives me a sense of preside and respect even though I don’t know them. I guess in a world like we live in today with so much negativity it is nice to see gestures of kindness, concern for another human’s well-being and pure respect like this.

There is a level of intensity and toughness you are expected to bring against your opponent, but when someone goes down in certain ways, especially when a puck catches someone above the shoulders, you just stop and make sure your bro is ok, it's no fun chirping him if hes hurting and might not be able to play our game again.

Patrick Commiskey I’m not sure of the rules however. If a trainers steps foot on the ice for an “injured” player that player must come off the ice. If the stretcher comes on the ice for an “injured” player that player probably has to go to the hospital even if the suspected injury isn’t bad. That’s why trainers like to slow play it so they don’t force a guy off the ice
