This is absolutely insane. At the very heart and bases of pickup truck design ethos is is ability to RELIABLY do HARD WORK. They're supposed to make you money, not cost you! Making luxury versions of even sport versions built on that premises should be a no brainer but their reliability issues say otherwise. I guarantee that people treat them just like imports; One the warranty is done, they're out.
Funny thing is I've seen the Colorado show up on these lists since I bought my 2020 RST new in 2019. Only real complaint I have with mine is the body/frame does make more noise than other trucks I've owned. Otherwise 5 years and 60K miles in, I've had no issues at all with it. And mine is worked pretty hard. I tow a race car on an open trailer with it several times per season.
I'm surprised with the Nissan. I used a NV 2500 with the V6 and automatic for work and it was faultless for over 140k miles. Much better than the garbage Transits they originally bought. Ran just as well at that mileage as when it was new. My only complaint was the rock-hard interior plastics.
I drove Triton V8 models with my job back in the 2000's, primarily vans, and I don't remember any major problems, go figure, because I've had mixed success owning Ford's.
@@MotorMaster_Stunticon Yeah keyless entry had a mind of its own and killed its own battery in a few months, and I lived with the manual key only. Brakes flickered regularly, I replaced a few actuators etc myself via internet instructions but learned to live with it. Private mechanics said there is likely a frayed wiring somewhere that is causing these issues, but the dealer just shrugged multiple times and threw up BS 'talk to the manager' type walls and said they couldnt replicate or fix. All you had to do was put a battery in the key and let it sit for 10 minutes and you'd see it turning its own lights on and off, unlocking and locking... So Chrysler the company will never get my dollars again haha. Despite loving that truck and doing some serious work in it.
@@MotorMaster_Stunticon it could bankrupt you because the engine is unreliable and to replace the engine is going to be ten thousand dollars to replace the engine and all that's going to do is make it kinda reliable
First off, another banger! Second, I love your high mileage ranger, I want one for a v8 swap one day. ...isn't that Mazda truck in the video a rebadged Ranger?
Yeah the B-Series and Ranger are the same. Beats me how the 03/04 B-Series ended up with so many problems. Maybe Mazda took cost-cutting measures to produce a cheaper vehicle. Thanks yeah it’s a great truck. I thought about dropping a 302 in it. It’s a 2.3
I keep telling people not to buy a 6.0 Powerstroke F250 Super Duty Diesel and 6.0 Powerstroke Ford Excursion diesel because thay could bankrupt you and then you have some owners where you can bullet proof it and that's when you have to go spend 10 thousand dollars to those trucks and suvs kinda reliable and that's when I sead yeah no
I can’t believe you put the first gen Tundra on this list when it’s literally in consideration for most reliable truck ever made 😂😂 bro don’t know his cars and does not know mechanics clearly
No Scania or DAf on the list,. This is good. Sorry I couldn't resist. The previous are trucks. Real trucks. Not these puny thingys😊 or if you must Kenworth or Peterbilt will do
Ford deserves a Guinness world record for making the shitest truck getting a 4 out of 100
😂😂😂
Great topic Rob, and I know you put some research into it!
Yes, definitely. Thanks for watching.
Good job with your research, another great video AT brother 👍
Thanks bro.
Thanks for watching.
Accurate and well researched. I know people who’ve owned some of these trucks and they all had the problems you described.
Thanks man. Yeah other than the research, I heard from real life owners how challenging some of these can be to own. Pitiful.

Exactly man. It’s risky to get one of these things out of warranty. Thanks for chiming in.
I would rather buy an older truck since I would rather have an easy fix, reliable engines, and better materials than the current generations.
Great point. Thanks for watching

Ok cool thanks for chiming in. Yeah Consumer Reports had more of a problem with the 2022 Colorado.
The moral of the story is don't buy a truck unless you actually need one for work.
I’m glad you understood the subliminal message!

Thanks for your input
I know it’s off topic but what would be your opinion on the 2013 honda accord with the v6?
How many miles is on it? I owned a 1998 Accord LX and it had a lot of miles, but other than changing the clutch, was super reliable.
ive never trusted consumer reports, too many times theyve been completely wrong about many things
I agree, but in this instance, quite a few owners of these trucks have corroborated what Consumer Reports has stated.
Nissan Titan, 1 out of 100 - let's go baby!
Yeah a 1 out of 100 is quite comical.
Nothing wrong with an old school Ranger
Without a doubt
Those are top, along with the mid-late 2000s Frontier.
Chevy is the Chrysler of trucks
Excluding old 1500s and s10s
Did you forget Dodge exists
Haha!
That's such a lie
lol 😂
consumer reports is pro foriegn vechiles
Maybe
Because they're better.
I hear they're "anti-spelling" too!😂
BS bc the tundra was on the list and the first gen tundra is legit considered one of if not the most reliable trucks ever made
I drove Triton V8 models with my job back in the 2000's, primarily vans, and I don't remember any major problems, go figure, because I've had mixed success owning Ford's.
Cool. Thanks for chiming in
The Gladiator is complete garbage. My friend traded his for a pre-owned 2015 Tundra. Best thing he ever did.
😂😂 yet more proof!
Thanks for chiming in.
2012 ram drivetrain was great, electrical had issues from week 2.
Really? Dang!

You frogot the 6.0 Powerstroke F250 Super Duty Diesel and 6.0 Powerstroke Excursion diesel
What’s so bad about the 6-L Powerstroke? lol

Nissan was a surprise to some, but after the Hardbody (after Renault takeover), almost every Nissan can be on the worst ____ list.
I know a guy with a Hardbody pickup with 400k miles and still runs great. Unbelievable!

Do you have a hearing problem? It was mentioned that some were affected with the issues, not all.
These newer trucks are terribly ugly too. They look cartoonish and are not proportioned properly! I'd rather have an older Chevy or Dodge any day!
Agreed

Yeah I like those big Kenworth trucks. Still amazed by how those semi trucks mostly have Inline-6 engines. Thanks for watching.
Yo this Is LeviGtes Im the first one
Thanks bro!

Sounds like sour grapes from a blogger without the bank to get one.....bwahahahaha
Nope.
Not exactly
