that was one of the main reasons why I made the video. Everyone talks about the lift and how terrible it is off-road yet none of them have ever owned a vehicle with this lift, and taken it off-road.
I've had the RC 6" lift on my 06 Taco since 2018 on 35's and have been hitting the same trails in Croom, Citrus etc for a while now with FTS with no issues whatsoever. I did do some reinforcements to make it better and more solid.
I got bigger tires and never rubbed. Once I bought new wheels with some negative offset, it runned like crazy! Didn’t even go half locked. Installer said the -12 did it.
Cool video. Perhaps do another another one on a annual basis until you redo the suspension again. Just to see how this progresses over time and if your feelings change.
Love your honest review, I enjoyed watching this video. Do you have any aftermarket upgrades done under the hood? If not do you plan on doing any in the future? Thanks
Thanks for making the video man. I put on a RC 3" lift on my 2006 Tacoma couple months ago, and I put on a 2.5" lift on my wife's 2010 Xterra (almost 2.5 years on that lift). Off roaded our Xterra through some good trails a few times for some camping trips, and no issues. Only thing would be the stock UCAs making contact with the coil bucket (I'll be replacing those in the future when I can pull together the money). Point is, annoyed of hearing guys in the forums of Tacoma, and Frontier/Xterra talk so much smack on the RC lifts. I understand, they aren't meant for jumping your truck, but who wants to do that? Lol. RC lifts are good for both not breaking the bank, and enjoying your lift. I agree with what you said, just be smart, and tighten your nuts & bolts on services, and you'll be fine. But hey, to each is to their own.
@@4wdAdventurz I had a pro-4x and had everything to lift it 2" and ended up returning it all and selling the lift stuff. Wondering if I made the right decision. I went back to a full size truck just a regular chevy trail boss and now I've been eye balling the frontiers again.. decisions decisions
I would say no on voided warrenty.. i know where there is a 2024 frontier sv at a nissan dealership for sale it has a 6inch lift, westin bulllbar and some other add on upgrades..dealer is asking $ 58,000.. i don't think they would sell a new vehicle with all the upgrades and no factory warranty.
I just recently traded my my 22 pro4x with 6in. Rough country. Pnce i lofted it i hated it... that lift sets your bump atops up about 2 inches from the lower control arm so it feels like your constantly botteming out going over any kind of rough road unless you creep over everything.. got a new colorado zr2 blows the nissan away in every aspect..
It won't be better in reliability no matter what you say. So basically you regretted your 6" lift because surprise surprise the ride was not as good, and bought a Chevy...
@@4wdAdventurz if you say so. I'd rather cut fenders to add bigger tires than use a bracket lift. There is a reason you don't see anyone using them in serious off-road rigs.
Great to see someone talk about their lift AFTER they actually wheeled it !

This is helping me decide how I’m going to mod my Frontier when it gets in
Awesome looking rig bro 💪. What tire size and rim size are you running?
Thanks. Tire is a 305/70/18 Cooper Discovery STT Pro and wheel is 18” Fuel Clash
I've had RC lifts for years! Just remember to re torque as recommended. Never an issue

good to hear you haven't had any issues.
That's pretty good mpg! I think the older frontiers get around 16 mpg stock
It’s honestly not bad at all
Thanks for sharing. Very much look forward to your content.

Looks amazing
Awesome and informative, thanks for the video and honesty!
Have you done a differential vent relocation?
No

So far there is a Z1 cold air intake, z1 exhaust, and soon will be a Z1 intake manifold spacer.
Looks great on 35's....i have 33's on 18's on my 15' with 6" lift
What lift kit did you use? I've got a '15 too, and I'd like to get 35s under it.
Hey great video you have earned a new subscriber! I was wondering how that lift affects being able to see over the hood while driving?
Good question! I’d say it’s just as poor as it was when it was stock 😂.

Exactly! Thanks for watching buddy!
What lift would I use if I wanted to jump my frontier? 😅😅
How is the rest of the truck holding up?
So far so good! About to hit 40k miles.
Very nice. Looks solid.
Came here to learn exactly what you had to say. I could tell from the woods you were in Florida; where abouts do you guys hit the trails?
Yes sir! Ocala area. Citrus, Richloam, the forest. all over

Have you recalibrated your Speedo for the tires ? That affects the MPG it shows
I haven't.
How would one go about doing this ??
Did you have to do any re gearing for the 35s?
No. It’s not required
when you add the lift does it void warranty?
I would assume it would.

@@jamesvaughan6789 It’s under warranty if the dealer did the work. Not outside parts or labor usually
My finance manager at my Nissan dealership said it wouldn't as long as you stay 6" or below on lift and max tire size of 35's.
@@RambosandRadios good to know 👍
How much height in rear blocks do you have?
🤔 I’m not sure. I’ll look at it later and let you know
Does the back bottom of seat plastic put pressures on your outer portion of your butt/upper leg?
🤔🤔 I’ve never noticed it. I’d say no
Any lag on your acceleration pedal?
No. The tranny does hunt for gears a biy more than it did stock, but with the 35's that's to be expected
No issues with rough country, its just a trash lift if you off road, you should have went with a titan swap.
Ehhh. I disagree
@4wdAdventurz you gained zero travel with a rc 6" lift. Enjoy not being able to ever properly lift your truck again tho, drop bracket lifts are shit
@@sapperROSS for what I do, long travel is completely unnecessary. and I kept the drop brackets. We definitely could weld them back on lol
Clearly the entire point of the video went over your head. He literally takes it off-road
But he off roads and is he's happy with it.
more offroading..watching people camp is boring or just mix the videos with little camping

Last up to 0ne year😅
I wish I could trust Chevy to make a truck that lasts cause I do like the look of those!

Bracket lifts are garbage
😂😂😂😂
This video and all of my other videos clearly demonstrate the opposite.

Agreed. But I don’t need a “serious off-roader” . I’m in FL. All I drive through is mud and deep water.
