A little tip for the failed champion is to stay pretty close to him hitting with the nail and dashing under him when he jumps, since he almost always jumps over you or jumps back. Also the orange rocks falling can be hit by you on to the failed champion. they then deal damage to him but they don´t deal damage just falling down on him. The dream versions of the bosses are really fun way to make the game last longer and bring more lore to it. Another little tip is to check floor, walls and roofs for secrets. They almost always are given away by visuals like cracks, light or even sounds. Good luck :)

Funny thing you could've accessed the waterways right when you first entered the City of Tears using a simple key under the relic trader, I found it interesting how you managed to get there though.
The layout of the map is absolutely insane - every area can be approached from so many angles, and every single one feels important with e.g. a hidden upgrade required for progression or a boss battle that drops a needed item! 🤩
This was lovely to watch as always! It was so cool to watch you discover Waterways and the Abyss… you must be the first person I’ve seen who came through Kingdom’s Edge to get there. The top entrance can be opened from the City side with a simple key, which is where I’ve seen everyone else go in. Just goes to show how many paths you can take in this game! It’s also heartening to see someone who struggled with Failed Champion as much as I did. On my first playthrough I ended up having to cheese him with two otherwise useless charms (I can’t remember whether you have them so I won’t ramble about it, but I can tell you it was a terrible method and took at least 15 minutes). Here are some tips: -Dashing underneath him when he jumps towards you is a great strategy! It should be easier now that you have shade cloak. He’s slow to turn around so you should be able to get a few hits in. -A lot of people struggle jumping over the shockwaves, but you seem to have it down. That’s great! There’s not much you can do during that attack but dodge, so that works. -Try to stay closer to him. If you get further away he can attack from offscreen, and he also has a running move that is surprisingly quick and hard to react to. -He staggers just like the normal version of the boss, but only stays down for two nail hits. This is the only time you can get soul. Make sure to dream nail him so you can get more out of it. -The embers that fall from the ceiling can be deflected with your nail. If you hit them toward him (especially while he’s having a tantrum… you’ll see what I mean) it will do damage! -In terms of charms… quick focus can help I guess but I’ve found it more helpful to completely ignore healing and focus on dodging. It’s tough, but often healing can totally throw off your rhythm, and since he does 2 damage and gives you no soul it’s a bit rough. You could try quick slash, longnail, or maybe dashmaster (to make it easier to dash under him). Lifeblood heart can help with health as well as fragile heart, which won’t break if you die in a dream fight, since it’s not a real death. Enjoy and best of luck!
Thanks for the helpful tips, as always! Now that I have invincibility frames on the dash and I know you can redirect the falling meteorites, I feel much more confident. This will probably last until I step into the room again and get squashed by the enormous mace 😂
