@@seasniper7315 Explosions differ depending on the type of device used. A regular bomb creates an intense shock wave of kinetic force which can rupture organs and break bones and without even breaking the skin. The high flying debris and shrapnel launched outward are what cause those skin wounds. Joker used a package of dynamite which has that effect. similar to pair of hand grenades. If he had used a fire bomb there would be no body

@@yoshikagekira5196 My dislike mostly stems from his poor use. For the most part, he comes across as a quick to kill hothead with a whiner attitude. But I don't think he's awful, I just dislike his use. With his training and connection Batman, he would be a fantastic villain. And I loved his depiction in "Under The Red Hood".

Holy shit. I didn’t realize how... insane, and mature DC comics actually are. I really want to start reading the Batman series. Where do I start? I watched the movie that The Killing Joke was based off of, but damn, those colored panels look so realistic and hit you way harder imo.

I use a website called readcomicsonline. Just Google it and you should find it pretty easily. They have a bunch of comics that you can read, other than DC, for free. So feel free to check it out if you ever want to read other stuff. One Batman story I highly recommend reading is The Dark Knight Returns. Somewhere down the line I recommend Dark Nights Metal.

I still don’t understand why people wanted Jason dead - I mean he’s a comic book hero give him some slack - I liked him, he was young and obviously different to batman it was a good foil to batman. Bad decision by the writers to base off fans opinion.

I think the most shocking for me was when the court of owls happened. The start of the story had batman facing off all the villains in Arkham showing how strong and agile he really was. And then the encounters with the talon showed how weak he really was. When I read this GN I was really surprised. Showing how batman was brutally "defeated" but the one talon and then revealing that there was more than just one. Really good comic and I highly recommend it.

I actually feel (looking back) that the deaths of all those Robins isn't so shocking compared to fact that Bruce Wayne would put all those children directly in harm's way.
On the subject of bane, I don’t think he ever could’ve beaten Batman without having unleashed the criminals first, I think Batman would’ve kicked bane to Kansas and back had bane not released all those prisoners, I also can’t count this as a win for bane considering Batman was already too weak to fight him, its like wrestling a bear thats already dead, harmless by far and unable to properly fight back, all bane did was beat an already beaten Batman, which means it isn’t his win at all
I agree, but that's what made Bane so smart. He KNEW that was the only guarantee that he could possibly beat Batman.

@@darksouls90 again, I agree. That's exactly the point I was trying to make. He HAD to "cheat"... and even that didn't work! Bruce Wayne/The Batman has too much resolve to be defeated ... even by a broken back AND overcoming his other arch enemies. That alone speaks volumes. He is probably arguably the most powerful hero, meta or non-meta because of his tactics alone.

The Batman that Laughs was pretty crazy
Hypersk's Stuff not just disturbing, but really tragic as well. Including the fact that he knew exactly what was happening to him, but by the time he figured it out he was too far gone and killed the family anyway.
The way they shoehorned a stripped down version of court of owls in Gotham was upsetting. I was really hyped reading that arc for the first time.
A little detail most people don't mention about The Killing Joke: After paralyzing Babs, aside from the pictures he shot of her, he also sexually abused her. It's not explicitly stated, but it is implied, and I think DC never said otherwise.
My stupid brain read the title as Top 10 Bruh moments that shook the world.
The owls series was really good, in my opinion of course.

Deacon Blackfire in The Cult was published in 1988. I know Bane's storyline is considered the first to break te Bat, but I'm pretty sure actually brainwashing Bats and him giving up would qualify, about 5 years in advance. Blackfire got to him so badly he started using guns for the rest of the story line (rubber bullets, but still...). I don't know if Blackfire ever showed up again, or if I even want him too. But I really dug him as the antagonist of that story.

The most shocking bit from Jason Todd's death in retrospect is probably in the immediate aftermath Iran making Joker the ambassador to the un so he can carry out a terrorist attack on the un.
