Yep, I've been robbed of over time and vacation hours from multiple companies. No lawyers would take any of my cases and human resources just reported back to my district manager both times I tried that. I think it's justified most of the time to take from companies. They do that to their employees already.

I worked for a big grocery chain as a cake designer for 33 years. You wouldn’t believe the s4it they get away with. Just one example was they hired a guy straight out of prison. He was (of course) cursed with a felony record so he felt extremely lucky to have the job. They took complete advantage of the situation. He did the work of 3 people. They had him working beaucoup overtime. Since he was a new hire he didn’t have a time card to start out with. Human Resources told him to keep track of his hours worked and they would pay him appropriately. Well, to make a long story short he was probably working 15-20 hours of overtime a week and they never paid him for any of the overtime. I even personally complained because I worked next to him and witnessed how hard he tried to get his money earned. In the end he never got the money and they fired him for threatening to sue to get it. Some companies are disgusting.

Lol. Individuals hurt companies and get away with it all the time. And individuals hurt other individuals and get away with it all the time. The only difference is, with companies, more money tends to be involved, and with companies, usually, there is no shortage of evidence, camera footage, employee records, etc. Whereas, somebody robs your personal residence, alot of people have none of that. Companies only hurt individuals that stay with a company and allow that company to "hurt" them. If you are truly good, and competent at what you do, you should have no problem finding better gainful employment elsewhere.

I believe that I met him on the Appalachian trail in July of 2013. Looked just like him, he gave me his trail name at the end of us talking but he spoke softly and I didn't hear it. The Appalachian trail runs right next to my parents property on the Tennessee border. I said hello to him as I was up on the ttrail on that day and he smiled and said hello back. We got to talking and he explained he was hiking his way across the Appalachian trail. He asked ifI was a fellow hiker making my way along the trail as well to which I replied I was simply exploring my parents new property and found the trail. He looked tired and hungry. I offered him water and food & he gladly excepted and thanked me quite a few times. After drinking some water and eating a whole made deer meat philly cheese steak I gave him he told me that was the best Philly cheese steak he'd ever had. We talked a little longer & he told me some jokes and we laughed for a bit. Then he said he better be getting back to it so I gave him some chips, cookies, pizza, and a gallon of water and We said our good bye's and off he went. He did tell me his trail name at the end like I said but he spoke real softly and I couldn't hear it. Anyway he was a super nice friendly guy if that was him. And if it wasn't him and it was another hiker who looked like him I was happy to help him out anyway.

Hi. Did he ever talk about Allegheny Trail? Reason so. Time period & everything worked out like year or 2 afterwards I saw his photo on Unsolved Mysteries. I trout fish at a walk bridge on that trail a lot. I got a good look appears he just started growing a beard like maybe inch or 2 long. But he saw myself throw his hand up & turn his face. Very strange behavior. Like 97% will atleast wave if they do see me some don't. Lot will stop & talk few mins with me. If I got the supplies I will Fillet my trout infront of them give it to them with zip lock bag corn meal & give them a very small unopened bottle cooking oil if I got them supplies on myself. Some want them some don't. I figure it be a little special treat for them hikers. They was like 2 women & 1 man behind that guy about 15 mins later. They talked to me our legal trout limit was 6. I had 5 & fillet them in front them & gave it to that crew of hikers and we parted ways. But to my dying day I will often wonder if that was that same guy. That trail not used much maybe if lucky on nice days 1 in 50+ times fishing there I might see 1 or group of hikers. Some will walk on see me climbing bank up to them but in middle water it's hard to hear what they say.

Plus I am 6'4 go about 260pds too. But a reply be so wonderful because I will often wonder about that. I would had no reason to turn the guy in because it was year or 2 later before I know anything about his crimes. They all dead now but my family in the passed was big moonshine makers & haulers. So we had a little outlaw in us too.

I saw him a few times over the course of a couple of days, but don't remember much in particular that stood out. Just that he was friendly, talked about being on the trail over the years, and having done it multiple times. He and his partner seemed like the sort of nice people you see out on the trail just about every day. I was of course surprised to see that the man I had crossed paths with was a wanted man by the FBI but never did much digging beyond seeing that he was some sort of white collar criminal who stole from Pepsi. I hope you're not naive enough to think that the FBI didn't have an agent who was specifically assigned to her; following her wherever she went. Many people on the run contact their families sooner or later. She was assumed to be their best chance to apprehend him. They most likely also had a tap on her phone. Millions aren't pocket change. He absolutely bandones her. He left her to pick up the pieces. He went on to live a groovy dude, mellow lifestyle for a year. Living the dream. He wasn't a nice guy. He helped a tremendous number of people on the trail over the years. Yippee for him. He left her life in shambles. so disingenuous to believe that this didn't cause longer-term damage. Wake up and smell the coffee.

I encountered Bismarck in 2011 off and on from the hiker hostel in Dahlonega to Montgomery House B&B in Damascus. Saw Hopper and her dog a few times as well. He was a nice guy and a good hiker, a credit to the trail community. The one odd thing about his story is that he said he had attempted to thru hike the AT in 2010 and got as far as the Hundred Mile Wilderness. So he was re-hiking the entire AT to get that last 5% of the trail done. Possible, but not too plausible. Being a fugitive hiding out on the AT makes much more sense. My trail name is Traffic Director.

My aunt was an embezzler. She was the quintessential, solicitous church grandma she worked for a lawyer and stole from his clients. He probably wasn't even involved after having suffered a substantial head injury years earlier, he relied on her. He ended up going to prison too These crimes are not victimless, they hurt their own families and the victims. One of her victims lost everything, had a heart attack and died. She tried to destroy my father's business because he tried to convince his brother not to listen to her. She was also a klepto and when she went to family member's houses they would hide their purses on the washing machine . There's a story about how someone I know watched her steal a ham from a grocery store by putting it under her coat. She reportedly later came back and asked them to slice it for her. My point is that stealing from a company is usually not an isolated crime and people who seem very innocuous often are not.

I estimate 95% of the other hikers I encountered on trail were homeless people. Most of them were mentally ill, alcoholics, substance addiction issues, probably some on the lamb, etc. It was not a pretty picture. There's still out there in the other seasons, it's just that there's so many other people on the trail that their presence is minimized.

@@TheJhtlag Relating to what you outlined. Both research and my own experience indicates that it is not uncommon for people on the ASPD spectrum (aka psychopaths and sociopaths) to be unusually likable, charming, and/or magnetic to us "normies" (people with average levels of affective empathy and conscience).
(I've figured out the core reason for this odd and counter intuitive reaction, but as most people are not into metaphysics/spirituality and the like, I usually keep it to myself).
I grew up with a step father on this spectrum, and this is what prompted research into it. I didn't find my step father likable, charming, etc at all, because I was shown who/how he really was, but I could see his effect on others when he was trying to be charming/likable/relatable and the like. When my mom was dying of cancer, he was cheating on her with one of her acquaintances/sort of friends (my mom and her would occasionally hang out and my mom would babysit her kid a fair amount until she got sick). If a guy on the ASPD spectrum is either rich, tall, handsome, and/or well hung, they tend to be female magnets. Their often higher testosterone levels and abilities to manipulate seems to really attract women--especially higher empathy women (my mom was like that--she had very high affective empathy levels).
He had been to prison multiple times for fraud btw. The last time (that I know of), was after he tried to sell the house he was renting from an elderly woman who lived in a different state. He also wasn't very bright. He didn't got to prison for it, but he bought a truck under my grandfather's name and finances, which included forgery and taking my grandpa's license.
I don't like mentioning him in relation to ASPD because most people on that spectrum are not killers, let alone serial killers, but if you watch the trials of Ted Bundy, you begin to suspect that the judge actually kind of liked him some, as he would say complimentary things about him sometimes and seemed to have the attitude "ah shucks, you had so much potential, why did you go and do this stuff?"

As you tell this story I think we met this guy, he even gave us a ride to breakfast one morning. We were coming off the trail pretty sure it was on the other side of Hump Mountain in N. Carolina, we stayed at a hostile and he was staying there. If it's the same guy he was just as you have described nice normal person that just liked adventure. He told us he had been hiking the trail for 6-7 years. I remember asking him if he had a home base and he said his mail was delivered to his daughter I think he said in Missouri. Interesting for sure, I guess will never be sure.

Wonder what his daughter's up to nowadays? And if she has some thoughts about her mom's accidental death by fire? Poor lady, hope she's not paying any attention to all of these complimentary comments about her dad bc it's bound to be upsetting to her. I know I would be can't imagine what she's gone through herself? Hopefully she has other great family/friends support.

You know absolutely nothing about this girl or her dad yet make such assumptions? He may not have abandoned her she could’ve been living her own life at that point she was an “adult” after all. People die in fires all the time this was no different. Fire marshals are very good at finding signs of suspected arson and most of the time when they don’t there’s no foul play involved. All I’m saying is we don’t know the girl she could have a great relationship with her father for all we know…

I don't know why they put non violent criminals in prison, it is absolutely ridiculous and nonsensical in every aspect. We have plenty of things that need done where they could be put in a low security living facility and made to work for the state.

Also I'm going to through hike for a few months this coming spring so I'd like to see some recent stories from up this end going south. If you could do that video I'd be very grateful. Thanks and definitely subbed.
