Gary Moore is undoubtedly the voice of the almighty. the guitar literally cries in his hand. oh my god! this is a beautiful world of music. Sir Gary Moore Please Rest In Peace.
Saw Gary with Albert Collins, a few months before Alberts passing, at Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood. Best live performance I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen many. It was the ‘still got the blues’ tour.
kudos to the sound engineers/technicians that put the sound together for this recording, it is a gem. would have been such a loss if it had been messed up or simply flatly recorded. luckily, it is so so sooo enjoyable. thanks audio guys.
† February 06 2012 † Exactly one year ago we were losing Gary sir here, one of the greatests. Let's mark this day with a big load of thumbs up for Gary and Thin Lizzy, people!
Went to the unvieling of phils statue and this concert in his memory the night after. Also time out with phils mammy at her house White horses. A magical time tinged with sadness for his passing.my musical heros gary and philip together once again,xx
@2007Tarkus well said mate! He is one hell of a drummer, plays the right feels, rolls etc at the right time and his dynamics are amazing, I love hearing his playing on the live and dangerous album. One of my all time favourite albums🙌
Possibly THE MOST UNDERRATED drummer in rock . As a grind mentioned ...it 's the truly great ones that you you don't notice. .... until you do ..and realize how perfect they are . And Brian's one of those.
And Ladys and Gets, thats how to play in front of an audience. RIP Mr Moore!! I´ll will be a lier telling you that I only listening once! (many tks S. Rubedo)
Paul clear. Swansea. 16 years ago 2nite I witnessed this majestic sublime performance at the point in dublin times gone so quick only seems like it was yesterday. The master in total control we miss u so much Gary if only u knew how much. Thanks. Keep watching fans u.ll never see his like again. His middle name should have been genius. Thank you
In the US, I would say he's not underrated but rather not widely known. I think that if you know about him, and hear his stuff you can't deny his immense talent. As a solo musician from Ireland, I don't think he got much notoriety here. U2 seems to be the only Irish rockers who became a worldwide sensation. And of course, he was a member at times of Thin Lizzy, an amazing band that deserved to be regarded in the top echelon of rock but instead is thought of in the US as "the group that did The Boys Are Back In Town" and nothing else. So his association with TL didn't help him get much further noticed outside of Ireland and the UK.
underated? by who? bloody hell ! every kid who played in the late '70's and early '80's knew he was well dangerous! especially after that back on the streets record. that blew me away and black rose and when parisene walkyays came out in '78. i bloody got late for school when i was 15 cause i waited for the tune to finnish!
@@yogiguitar1 He's criminally underrated in the US. Hardly anyone knows him or mentions him, even musicians. Check Rick Beato's channel and his "best of guitar" videos. Gary is nowhere to be found. Wake up.
Only two people that sleep with those guitars at night!! Hendrix and Moore !! Followed by only half a dozen maybe! Best of the rest - bonamassa , gilmour , Lynott , Clapton , may , knopler !! Many will disagree but such a hard instrument to master we have been blessed over the years
Paul clear. Swansea. Correct mr. Duffy just awe inspiring talent from head 2 toe . Black rose every track sublime. Went 2 hammersmith odeon 2 c lizzy on that tour with gary in the band then 5000 peoples jaws on the floor and gary was only 27 then still remains one ov my favourite concerts ov all time. Still got the original album from 79 plays perfect. Saw Gary 27 times from 79 2 2010. Met him 5 times did all the autographs 4 me. Nice memory there 4 u. Keep his memory going. Cheers
There is magic, there is perfection, then there is Gary Moore.
Gary Moore, Phil Lynnot y Rory Gallagher the three Irish master of rock. GREATS.
Bono was moving quite uneasy on his wobbly chair while reading this :) The truth hurts !
@@Retroscoop LOL! U2 (or You Sprew as I call them) aren't shit, Bozo and the Edge blow!
Couldn't agree more but van needs to be in that list and fuck the begrudges
