Jeff Glover is one of the BJJ world's most creative practitioners and competitors. This is an excerpt from his new DISMANTLING SIDE MOUNT instructional from BJJFanatics.com.
BJJ Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your BJJ skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for BJJ Students who don’t look at BJJ as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

I saw everything you could do from the monoplata technical mount setup but I didn't see any monoplata..
100% one of the best instructors.
Where is the mano plata ?😃
I like his teaching style!
It's been there the entire time, but for scales on my eyes I could not see it. You have healed my vision! Like a download from the matrix, shown once it seems to be as effortless as breathing to understand.
Idk how this video doesn't have more views. Fantastic!
I'm gonna try this technique next time. Thank you, Master!
This is pure gold
love it thanks
Why's Jeff talking like Bob Ross..."oh and look what we have here...we can just turn this into a happy little omaplata"
Lovely!
Nice! Thank you.
I wanna be like this guy when I'm older
Notes:
Setup
A) single leg def
B) underhook def
Finishes from Omoplata:
1) Pete the Greek Wrist lock
2) omoplata
a rolling
b sit back
3) guillotine
4) Kimura
5) lift and triangle finish
Killer!!!! Thanks!!!!
super slickkkkk
Jeff, Wonderful instruction. Question though, at 3:02 which option do you feel affords you the most control over the amount of pressure and therefore the most safety for your training partner should I
a) Go for a kimura like you show in 3:02 from there?
or
b) Sit down and apply the pressure with my hip as shown at 2:57 of this video ruclips.net/video/5DQXEEATKTU/видео.html&ab_channel=BrandonMccaghren ?
I want to train the sitdown technique (b) but it looks quite scary for uke's shoulder. Perhaps my concern is that my rolling partners know to tap to Kimura but they will probably be unfamiliar with the b) option and may try to power out of it and injure themselves. Your thoughts please?
maybe just relax and you'll both be fine.
Same thing over and over with no finish details on the monoplata 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
