It should have been " ah I see,... satellites off... Doctor back to knock-off Gollum", one of the worst endings to new Who after a great build up, only beaten by the Benny Hill Dr Donna Daleks.
@@leighsaunderson9203 It's not that easy, the Doctor had a whole year to adjust to the satellite network, at the moment Martha told the Master about it, it was already too late, people around the globe were thinking about the Doctor already. It's shown in sequences just so the audience understands, what's going on, but the events were already in motion. So the Master couldn't do anything about it, when he realized that, not even turning the satellites off. Martha's speech was a "bang, surprise, bitch" moment. She told him the truth in the last second, when the job was almost done. There was no time to do anything about it.
I've been thinking, all the other modern companions seemed to outshine Martha by getting "super powers" of some kind or another, which really wasn't fair, but actually, that's the point of Martha. Donna became the Doctor Donna because she was miserable with her ordinary life and went chasing after the spaceman and adventure. Rose became the badwolf by refusing to stay home with her family, and choosing to risk her life in time and space to be with the Doctor. But Martha saved her family and her world by refusing to stay with the doctor and being there for her own people instead. She's the human one. The one who chose the Earth.

After Donna the companions started becoming idiotic spoiled brats. Always acted as though they were entitled to travel with the Doctor instead of privileged to do so, sort of like Generation Z. It was very unfortunate that Amy and Rory didn't die in a more gruesome fashion.

I loved the look on the Master's face when she mentions the satellites. Perfect. Yeah, Russell did a wonderful job. I love it that Martha didn't need any special powers to save the world; just her own personal strength and endurance and determination and trust in the human spirit. That's kind of wonderful. But I could have done without the Doctor as Messiah message. I'm glad the Doctor points out that it's the faith of Humans that restored him though.
Series 3 was the best! The Master instead of the Daleks, the Doctor and Jack back together, mature interesting stores not to mention Martha, the best companion!
Am I the only one who is prepetually amused at Captain Jack being the only person standing around with a dirty face? I know why he's all dirty and so forth, so please don't try to explain - it still strikes me as highly amusing.
I never really understood The Master's wife. She knew what he was and everything he was doing then she shot him for no reason. I can't remember if there was an exact reason but it still made no sense how she was supportive until he started losing.
The psychic network of the Archangel worked even on Lucy, as she also called the Doctor with everyone else. And as such it affected her both positively and negatively (not sure what is what in this case) just like the Master "hypnotized" the masses to vote Saxon, so did he (or if it was in him, like the Doctor said, he had such a hypnotic personality, or something) made Lucy fall in love with him (both as the Master and as Harold Saxon, she called him Harry even in private). And yes, like Chimera Genesis pointed out, when the Master started loosing, Lucy kinda snapped out of his charm. Or there's a theory, that she was instructed to shoot him, in case the Doctor would ever win, because then he would end up as his prisoner (which was the reason why he refused to regenerate, he saw it as his victory over the Doctor still). Can't really say.
Oh my God, when she said "But with 15 satellites!" The Master literally looked like the blinking guy meme gif. Crying

Probably my favourite moment from my favourite Doctor.
You order us to stop master ? No you not the boss of us, everyone say the word
Martha is one of the most underrated companion of the doctor
And Freema has moved on and is doing quite well on "New Amsterdam" here in the US.
and shes still telling the doctors story on big finish! (yes there are 1/2 dozen 10th doctor stories read by Martha Jones!)
Can we all stop talking about Martha and companion comparisons and acknowledge the fact that Tom Ellis (Lucifer on Netflix and Gary from Miranda) was in a Doctor Who episode and went on an adventure with Martha Jones and has been apart of the Who-niverse this whole time, there's even a Doctor Who reference in an episode of Lucifer and this is probably the reason why, he's Thomas Milligan in the Who episode
This is why Martha is the best companion.
0:50 I love how his emotions flip in a split second.
1:09 that describes my reaction to that episodes ending pretty well right there
And Martha became a heroine... I love her!
The human race couldn't have done that without the psychic network the doctor mentioned
correct
But the master couldn't have taken over so easily without it either.
I really wish they had included the part where she laughs at the Master, saying "A Gun? you really think the Doc would have me use a Gun?" basically.
That time the doctor went super sayan 2.
nope he went ultra instinct
I knew that was a super henki-dama!
SunnyDeathRay he went beyond ultra instinct
i know what you mean; but i still find it so epic when you see that look on the masters face with that music.
Imagine donnas reaction when Martha told her about the doctor
Martha: Tells the story of the Doctor.
Cracks in time: "Ima just going to make everyone forget that."
I was also muttering Doctor when I saw this the first time.
Still gives me chills
0:46 the moment the Master knew he was fucked
Every human on the platnet, at one point in time: Doctor.
Also humans: who?
Hate Martha Jones? Why? She acted to perfection to save the Doctor.
martha jonees saves the world with the help of one word
I loved the look on the Master's face when she mentions the satellites. Perfect. Yeah, Russell did a wonderful job. I love it that Martha didn't need any special powers to save the world; just her own personal strength and endurance and determination and trust in the human spirit. That's kind of wonderful. But I could have done without the Doctor as Messiah message. I'm glad the Doctor points out that it's the faith of Humans that restored him though.
Martha Jones was the best companion
New Who was 2 years old when this video was published.
One of the best moments with Ten and Martha! A classic moment within a classic story! Incredible!
IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE? JUST A PRAYER?...but with 15 satellites. XD
In fearful day
In raging night
With strong hearts full
Our souls Ignight
When all seems lost
I'm the war of light!
Look to the stars
For HOPE burns bright
Martha Jones of Earth
You have the ability to instill great hope in others.
save us Martha
I haven't seen a single episode of Doctor Who, and this left me with tears in my eyes.
Anyone else just kinda smile at '15 satellites'
Did anyone else here shut your eyes and said “Doctor” or is it just me?
no not just you!
Nope. Just you. You're weird.
This is awesome!!! 😍
This gave me chills, am I the only one? xD
I love when villans loose like this.
To be honest I was expecting a care bear to pop up and encourage people to join in
0:49 the doctors theme gives me shivers love it!
This was the mother of all season finales
This moment is great and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
Martha was great! Russell Davis wrote a great script for her.
"I've had a whole year to tune myself into the psychic network and integrate with its matrices."
I would have accepted a simple "I'm back, bitches."
She was always good companion to have around
Series 3 was the best! The Master instead of the Daleks, the Doctor and Jack back together, mature interesting stores not to mention Martha, the best companion!
This is my favourite dr who moment
"one thing you can't do is stop them thinking!"
Aaahhh, back when Doctor Who was actually quite good... The good old days
Am I the only one who is prepetually amused at Captain Jack being the only person standing around with a dirty face? I know why he's all dirty and so forth, so please don't try to explain - it still strikes me as highly amusing.
I’ve actually been confused every time I watch that but turns out he was tortured by the master or something
@@Angel_Donoghue Still, being tortured by the Master was probably better then being put into concrete and buried for decades.
I never really understood The Master's wife. She knew what he was and everything he was doing then she shot him for no reason.
I can't remember if there was an exact reason but it still made no sense how she was supportive until he started losing.
Because that's how abusers hold power over their victims. When the doctor took that away, the master lost the absolute control he had over her.
Can't really say.
this is how they should start the 50th special caws its being simulcast across the world at the same time !!!
the first time i watched this a little after he flew up i was like "oh um yeah thats right doctor" and then i was quiet
He tells the doctor to stop like someone would tell their dog to stop who just hiked his leg.
