my guy only had 3 hours of screentime and you've managed to make this video longer than half an hour
And that’s without Destination Skaro
he's just that good
that's my GOAT
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well it’s David Tennant. He stole the show as 10, and he stole it again.
0:31 The Tardis is probably thinking “Finally, the Doctor has the decency to regenerate outside.”
Finally, the Doctor learned to not regenerate in flight
Tardis got burnt anyway
@@benpecto.benpecilltonBut it repaired itself with the same desktop theme intact.
Do you know why?
Because Doctor learn from his mistakes 😏🥁🤣
It only took how many times for this lesson to take?! Haha!!

If I had a nickel for every time David Tennant played the Doctor and had been forced to go through a hitherto unheard of form of Regeneration due to being hit by a death ray, I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Well, technically three; Regenerating into a *past* face seems pretty unheard of.
@@dominickeijzer5844wdym
@@dominickeijzer5844 It wasn't because of a death ray though
@@mathieuaurousseau100 1. Dalek laser beam: They cause near-instant death in 99% of people and are called Ruby Rays sometimes.
2. The Master's weird beam: It is a beam that caused regeneration. It had the power capacity of entire civilisations, allegedly. That, fired as a weapon, is a death ray.
3. Galvanic ray: It is raw radiation, the same kind found on Midnight. The kind that instantly killed anyone exposed. Death ray.
“It killed me, Donna.” (10th regeneration)
“It killed me, it killed me, it killed me.” (11th, 12th, 13th regeneration)
The 14th’s “best of” is literally just his entire screen time, not exactly a lot to justify a best of video 🤣
Unless you want to see Dr DT Who without any extraneous characters. 😉
@@user-lf3kr1nq2dyou too?
It's the perfect reason to justify it.
Three hours but go off
You take that back. David Tennant is the best thing to happen to Dr Who since one of them decided to wear celery
From Thirteen’s regeneration: “I wanna know what happens next”
DID THAT SUBCONSCIOUSLY CAUSE THE BIGENERATION?
Dorothy 😢
That is very possible! 😱😮
What has that got to do with anything?
The theory goes something like the doctors regenerations are fixed points in time they have to happen as they are. When the toy maker shoots 14 that is not the fixed point but because the doctor has sustained a lethal injury that triggered the bigeneration. It's not 14 time so 15 gets pulled from the point in time where he first appears.
Why do you think her outfit changed into his?
7:19 YEARS of her life rushing back in, everything she's ever experienced traveling with The Doctor, all the joy and grief through it all, and the first thing out of her mouth is "I gave away all my money 😡"
But that’s a River response 🤣
But that’s a Donna response 😂
That's our Donna :)
although i love to see tennant, donna and all the familiar faces again, I'm kinda sad that River song wasn't mentioned. seeing as how tennant was the first one who saw her and now hes back with all of the previous doctors memories. such a missed opportunity
I actually had a theory that the reason that River expected 10 to recognise her is because she thought that he was 14.
I was expecting the two of them to meet and have an adventure during the 60th anniversary, possibly involving the picnic at Asgard that River mentioned to 10 when she was going through her diary, which, for bonus points, was apparently an adventure that Steven Moffat envisioned River having with David Tennants doctor.
I must admit that I find it rather annoying that my theory didn’t end up being correct, not least because the far more outlandish theory that other people had about David Tennant and Ncuti Gatwa splitting into 2 separate incarnations ended up coming true.
River was mentioned though. Fifteen brought her up while talking about the things the Doctor has been through and all the people they've lost. It was only a brief name-drop and maybe not as much as a lot of fans would have wanted, but it was there. She wasn't forgotten.
The only thing at fault is you forgetting she was mentioned.
I get what you're saying, but River Song is so closely tied to Moffat Doctor Who specifically that for her to feature without Moffat being involved would feel strange.
@@HOTD108_ Kate appeared. I don't get this point at all
14 is my favourite Doctor. 10 has been my Doctor since the moment I saw him in the Christmas special, but the older I've become the more I can relate to 14 because the more life throws at you the more you struggle and need friends in your life.
A theme throughout has been “The Doctor should never travel alone”. It was always about needing friends.
I can understand that. I, personally, thought Tennant's acting as the 14th Doctor was a step up from the 10th Doctor.
@@strangelove0108 that more applies to 9 onwards, the whole time war thing made that more important. It wasn’t a big factor prior to that, probably because the other timelords were around to remind him of how he could end up if he went mad.
Same.
Right. When people said that 14 was cringe I was like why??? He’s 10 but on New Game plus mode with the abilities, memories and skills of 11, 12 and 13. He’s so based
17:30 "Y'know that sound the Tardis makes? That wheezing...groaning...that sound brings hope, wherever it goes." "To anyone, Doctor, however lost. Even you"
"That's the brakes, you keep leaving the brakes on" - River Song
He stole the tie! The 15ᵗʰ Doctor gets the tie in the bigeneration! It becomes undone at 28:31 because of the separation, there's not enough room in the tie. Wow, I really shows how much detail they put into this. Great work!
Half of his clothes, actually.
14 is going commando, you know?
@@Cesar_Iv. yeah but the shirt doubled, so the gag didn't land for me. They should have given Ncuti the vest instead a shirt
Tennant and Tate haven't lost their magic with these roles, no matter how many years have passed 😊
I love the 14th Doctor so much. He’s 10 but on New Game plus mode with the abilities, memories and skills of 11, 12 and 13. He’s so based
Donna: Whats gonna gone wrong... *spils coffe on TARDIS*
Me: You had to jinx it do you?
Also Donna: EAU MAI GAWD, I'VE DONE IT AGAIIIIN!
Didn't include my favourite moment! At the beginning of Wild Blue Yonder when Donna is freaking out and the Doctor kisses her knuckles, holds them to his hearts, and stares into her until she calms down. Maybe my favourite Doctor Who moment ever!!
that nearly made me cry. David plays the Doctor as such a deeply empathetic character and I just cannot get enough of it!
that and the way they start to blame each other and argue before that moment then both step back and go "nope, we're in this together, no point in arguing about whose fault it is". anger and blame as a way to cope with things going wrong is relatable and the fact they both catch themselves in doing that and stop was a nice way to show how mature and sweet their friendship is!
My favourite is when the not thing doctor and him work out the ship is a bomb and the words is a countdown and he's like "countdown I said so!" I just love how childish and petty the doctor is sometimes
RIP Bernard Cribbins
I love the 14th Doctor so much and David Tennant's performance is spectacular.
Tennant will always be my favorite Doctor. NPH casted as the toy maker was absolutely genius. Can't wait for the next Doctor.
Plus his role suits him. IRL he is a fanatic about magic tricks. He has a whole area dedicated to different contraptions from magicians and he practices magic tricks as a hobby.
Love NPH as the Toymaker
I hope Big Finish picks up the Fourteenth Doctor in some audio to flesh out the character and maybe make Fourteen more different from Tenth in audio format.
Because Big Finish is known for taking short lived Doctors like the Sixth and Eighth Doctors and fleshing them out more also with him living with Donna’s family that make him stand out always returning home to them kinda like Third returning to UNIT after the Three Doctors.
Same! I'd prefer the show itself to focus on the Fifteenth Doctor, as it should, and Big Finish could totally come up with some adventures for the Fourteenth Doctor on Earth. Or, you know, detail his path to resting and healing and fixing himself. Dude is definitely in some serious need of a mental health vacation after all. And David Tennant has done Big Finish loads in the past, I'm sure they could coax him in to voice Fourteen! :D
And the Seventh and Ninth also had short tenures by what you're saying if you're counting the Sixth which have appeared in Big Finish.
That would be very hard to do, considering in the novelisation, from 13 regenerating, to 14 regenerating, was only a 15 hour period.
Oh, wait, forgot he Bigenerated this time round (and every other time round, according to RTD)
@@Smakka13420 It's not him regenerating only him bi-generating and we don't know exactly what happens with him after the events of _The Giggle_ before he bi-generates as the Fifteenth.
@@adamstewart9052 I literally said, “Oh wait he Bigenerated this time round”
So you really didn’t need to correct me, as I had corrected myself, and yes, I know we know we don’t know what happens after he Bigenerates, which is why I corrected myself in the first place.
Well that’s incorrect, as we do know he’s already been travelling with his family.
I really do want this as a spin off show in 2 years or so, enough time to really cement Ncuti as The current Doctor, and there has to be an epsidoe where 14 meets River, and that’s why she says to 10 in The Library that his face looks so young.
It should also link into the main show, like how Torchwood/SJA linked up in the series 4 finale.
Matt smith and David tenant, were elite in doctor who
Aswell as 2nd 3rd 4th 1st 5th 7th 9th 6th 8th due to American take
Unfortunately only one of them got a competent showrunner
I really enjoyed having David Tennant back and these three episodes were a delight.
Honestly this whole video could have just been him seeing Wilf again and it would have still been the best moment.
I love how Donna said IM ALL READY RUNNING this girl knows when to run wile the doctor is around
Mel lowkey shouted out 9th doctor. His catchphrase. FANTASTIC🎉❤
The Meep seemed so cute for a minute!
"Could you pull?"
Nice profile pic 😁
"Not falling for that again. The TARDIS doesn't have proper ventilation!"
I'm still annoyed that we never got an explanation as to how the Doctor's costume changed with the Thirteenth Doctor's regeneration. The costume split between the two Doctors of the bigeneration I can sort of understand, but even the clothes worn on the newer incarnation didn't change.
it was literally because they didn't want people to make fun of Tennant wearing Jodies clothes
@@ArachniladYou should have known they meant in-universe.
@@adamstewart9052 there was no reason for the "in universe" the producers even said they didn't want David to be made fun of in Jodies clothing and that it could offend viewers. So you're telling me that everyone bats an eye with bi regeneration where both doctors have parts of the originals clothes but they are more confused by clothes manifesting after regeneration....yeah I understand but really it's nothing deep
Didn't Sacha's Master wear Jodie's outfit in the previous episode? Oh please...
the first doctor changes clothes when he regenerated
I actually really enjoyed seeing Tennant playing the 14th Doctor. It made me happy 😌 seeing him play another version of his character. Even if the first special wasn't my favorite. 😊
3 words. Sandshoes and Granddad!
Yes ✋🏻 definitely 💯.
I feel like Russel really misunderstood what was so brilliant about Donna. Her empathy.
While similar, the 60th version seems to be much more of a "wowie, look at how totally badass she is! Isn't it great?"
RTD deserves some flack but this is just silly. She gave away her entire lottery winnings to charity subconciously
The Tenth Doctor, Meta-Crisis Doctor and Fourteenth Doctor is forever the BEST!!!
Nothing and no one will ever get any better than David Tennant!!!
I hope to see both Tenth Doctor, Meta-Crisis Doctor and Fourteenth Doctor meet each other, and a spin off TV series of the Meta-Crisis Doctor and Rose Tyler!
Allons-y!
Hear hear
Personally I prefer 9 but tennant is great
On a tangent, I wish that Fourteen's sonic screwdriver went on to Fifteen; it was a sweet design. The new sonic looks like a gimmicky TV remote.
That's my favorite part of the 15's sonic, actually. Within the context of use in NuWho, especially in how it interacts with various pieces of technology, the sonic has basically evolved into a sort of alien universal remote. A redesign explicitly leaning towards that direction has been a LONG time coming. Unfortunately, I don't expect that design convention to stick; I reckon the next sonic will immediately regress to a more traditional profile.
@@secretasianman108 I mean I don't necessarily see it as a regression. The screwdriver is a universal remote, yes, but it's a remote for things that aren't meant to be controlled. Making it seem more flashy and commercialized is like if stores started selling burglars custom made tools for breaking and entering. A sonic screwdriver will always be a somewhat illicit thing, and it should definitely feel more like a tool than a convenience item
Even tho he only got 3 hours. It was the best dam 3 hours of doctor who in a long time for me
I can't wait for David to return in the 70th anniversary 😕

Hmm. So while I was out of the room, David Tennant became the Grover Cleveland of Doctors. Innnteresting.
Crazy that his "Best Of" is over 1/6th of his runtime. Like if we made a "Best of the 8th Doctor" and it was over 15 minutes long.

Best of all three episodes. Count ‘em. All T H R E E.
I liked having Tennant back and the 60th but with distance it’s honestly aging like this really weird, obscure little dot in Doctor Who’s history. You’ve already had Tennant stans crying for him since Ncuti came in (ala Matt Smith) - but you may as well as have brought him back for a full series or something. Felt a little rushed on the whole - when the concurrent doctor was 14 for all of about 20 hours in canon, it’s just a bit odd. Like the whole ‘you’re tired doc’ that admittedly doesn’t just kind of come out of nowhere in the giggle. Him and Donna are great, I even like the idea of him settling with her - but going from 13, who I didn’t like, with a very optimistic regeneration also seems really strange. Maybe I’m wrong, but essentially, the specials should’ve either been one story across three episodes - or the a limited actual series before 15.
I'm honestly kinda wondering how much these episodes were written before 13's regeneration was told to RTD, cuz the fact that Yaz wasn't mentioned once, the fact that the support group wasn't mentioned, the fact that one of the most uplifting regenerations led to such a depressing vibe for the specials until the very end, it's really strange.
Like, there's a support group out there for companions of the doctor he left behind, and there is just a Doctor out there who is staying mostly earthbound and trying to find himself and cope with the trauma. If anything, he's almost like a companion right now, left behind by himself. I really think 14 should go to that support group
can we see more of this incarnation of the tennant doctors?

Dang💀 that's an awesome theory
Yeah I think this is meant to be the canon explanation, that 15 was pulled back from after 14's lifetime. The "we do rehab out of order" and "I'm better because you fix yourself" lines all but confirm it IMO
