- I visited Cambuslang Rangers to see them take on Arthurlie in the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division.
The game didn't disappoint with Cambuslang winning 3-2. They share many similarities with Rangers Football Club but also many differences too!

Hello love your videos
Everyone, this is Maximile. Maximile is a legend. Be more like Maximile and maybe one day I'll pin your comment too!!!
@@FootyAdventures Hey love your vids - very unique! Is there any chance you could do a history video where you go to both stadiums of the Bristol Rovers and Bristol City derby? They aren’t in the same league anymore but have had a great history!
I share your sentiment with somewhat falling out of love with the Prem. It really is the European Super League people opposed a few years back. I now see why older generations back when the Prem was created opposed it and were weary of its potential detriment to English football.
Celtic fan, living in Vietnam, grew up in cambuslang. Used to go see them every week when I was a wee guy. Great nostalgia seeing this video. Quality video
Unfortunately our domestic game is utter pish now in comparison to the standard we used to have in Scotland..
Your championing of the Scottish game at all levels is immense Great work 👏
These are the videos that keep me coming back to the channel. As an Englishman who loves non league I really appreciate seeing the vids of the lower leagues of Scotland. Keep it up!
Glad you like them!
Fantastic video and channel. You’re passion and knowledge is immense. Great job 👏
Excellent as always Sam 👏👏👏 Keep up your fantastic work! 👍
I love that the rest of us in the area call it a shite hole while you show passion for a run down wall and concrete steps. 😂 You do love the Scottish game.
We see it for what it is utter pish
In comparison to what kind of football we used to have in
Scotland.
The standard is utter pish.
Celtic fan here, this is one of the best videos you have done. Absolutely fantastic stuff, never thought that I'd be cheering on a team called Rangers!
I love Cambuslang Rangers and that ground. When my dad first took me when I was 4/5, those terraces behind the goal felt like the Camp Nou. Congratulations to the boy on his move to Queens Park. There’s a lot of talent at that level.
Fantastic video yet again Sam.
was great to have you mate! i was the guy who somehow predicted the game 😂😂
I really appreciate you advocating for the lower leagues in Scotland, Sam. We need someone with an audience to get eyes on it. We need to keep it alive and thriving! Great video, I enjoyed it a lot. I’ll need to pay a visit to Cambuslang Rangers and take in a game. Cheers.
Gutted I never went today, Cambuslang Rangers is my local team and usually go when I can. Would’ve loved to have met you mate, love the channel, just gets better. Mon the Camby
Love these vlogs - we definitely like the same kind of grounds! 😂👍
Great as always. Not been to Cambuslang it's on the to do list though. Cambuslang's strip is a copy of the 92-94 Rangers kit. Most famous for the Champions League run.
Was at Thorniewood today. Highly recommend
Nice, I'll check out Thorniewood for a game. Think I went there for a groundhopping video back in the day.
You have to visit the Camby. Great non league ground!
Aye a watched them last week against Clydebank ..they need to invest in new strips ...looked like they had been arsed with hair maws manky black pants.
That's the second time in a relatively short time that we were at the same non-league game and I again missed meeting you, gutted!
What a cool video. Nice one
Brilliant stuff, my kind of Saturday afternoon at footy ! Actually at the same time you were at a level 6 Scottish game, I was at a match at Step 5 of English Non-League in an equally traditional old school ground - Flackwell Heath (not too far from your old home town ?) who won 4-0 in the Combined Counties League. Admission (Seniors rate), programme and cheeseburger all for a whopping £8.50 !!!
Another great video mate and I love to see these lower league grounds, I am a fan of an English Premier league club plus I am English but I also have Irish citizenship due to my late mum and dad. My local club where i live here in Hertfordshire is a lower league club with a club house and two small stands. I love the modern stadiums but I have to say that old grounds who are very old and have kept their character. I have been to Scotland years ago to watch games in what is now the Scottish premier league. I used to go to watch Aberdeen games home and away when my English club were playing away, this was in the 1980's with the Metro dons, which were Police officers from the London Metropolitan Police who came from Aberdeen and of course were Aberdeen fans. I have of course been to Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee United, Rangers, Partick Thistle, Motherwell and Hampden Park in the 1980's. I love the old grounds as they were proper Football stadiums. In England I've been to Stamford Bridge, Selhurst Park, Highbury ( arsenal's old ground), Portman Road, White Hart Lane, Upton Park, Anfield, the Den ( millwall's old ground), The Dell ( Southampton's old ground), Vicarage Road, Plough Lane ( Wimbledon fc), Old Trafford, Anfield, Loftus Road, Craven Cottage, Fratton Park, Hitchin Town fc, Hertford Town fc, The Valley, Manor Ground, Valley Parade, old Wembley, Goodison Park, Grimsby Town fc, Filbert Street, The Baseball Ground, Roker Park, The Hawthorns, Gay Meadow, Dean Court, St James's Park, Highfields Road, Brisbane Road, Kenilworth Road, Asnton Gate. Hillsborough, Bramall lane, Old grounds are just better and are proper British Football grounds. 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🏴🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
With how much money is getting spent in the premier league then watching more and more junior football appeals more and more due to how honest it is. I was at the Larkhall Thistle vs Newmains United match today (nil-nil) but it was a really entertaining game
I stopped going to watch Liverpool and Rangers nearly 3 years ago...After all the covid carry on, becoming soulless.. watch Clydebank now, can't beat the lower leagues for authenticity and feeling a part of something.👍🏴
love these types of games going to go to my local clubs next weekend i live in north devon England got alot of good non league clubs around me
My dad grew up in Cambuslang as a Celtic fan but he went to Junior Cup Finals at Hampden supporting Cambuslang Rangers in the 70s. He just saw it as going to watch his local team in a big game and did not care about the Rangers links.
Great video
Love your Non-league videos mate 👍
Appreciate it mate!
Love these videos
Your videos are fantastic but l really enjoy your lower league games
i dont know if its in your schedule but you should really have a trip over to the states and attend some games here like in the us open cup and our various lower leauges
7:26 thats me
Would love to see you do a video of Kilsyth Rangers at Duncansfield. One of the best grounds in the juniors
if i remember correctly in football manager i had a friendly with my queen's park fc against them but i could be wrong
It does have a charm the Non league clubs. Now I want to go there to watch a match and visit their stadium.
As an American, following non-league football can be tough, but luckily the team I follow, Weymouth, has their games broadcast via Mixr, thus I can listen to most of their games. Plus Weymouth usually publishes, on RUclips, a highlight video of each of their games. Makes it easier to follow the team. Love to catch a game live at Bob Lucas Stadium some day.
Any chance you can travel to the south coast of England to do a Weymouth game? Or go to Cornwall and show 10th tier Penzance (I'm currently managing them in FM22), who play in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division West.
No he can't go to England as he makes too much money pretty much talking about the Rangers or Celtic weekly.
This channel is poor now IMO.
@@phehibs Don't tune in then. You're talking garbage!
@@davidbarr9343 Truth is the truth.
@Cal Irons - Story? Well sort of. Baseball has always been my #1 sport, but I did grow up in a town where soccer is extremely popular as well. My town has produced numerous MLB players and professional soccer players. That said, I'm old enough to have been an "early adopter" of Fantasy baseball, playing in Rotisserie Baseball Leagues starting from the mid-1980's.
As an American, you have probably heard of Bill James, famous baseball writer, historian, and statistician. Back in the 1990's, he created Bill James Fantasy Baseball, an online fantasy baseball game. I played that game for years. Bill James sold the game to STATS Inc, and the game transformed in Diamond Mind Baseball.
Anyway, while playing Bill James/Diamond Mind baseball, I befriended a Londoner, and we ran several fantasy leagues together. He was learning baseball, and was a diehard Fulham fan. I asked him if he knew of any good/similar soccer simulation games, and he recommended either FIFA Manager or Championship Manager. I played those sims, and found Championship Manager (later Football Manager) more to my liking.
As for Weymouth - one of the things I like about European soccer is the concept of Promotion/Relegation, so I did NOT want to play Man U, Bayern, Barcelona, Juve, etc. As the Championship Manager/Football Manager base games offered more tiers in England than most other countries, I looked for an English team that fit criteria that interested me:
1. Team had to have a long history - preferably 100+ years of history.
2. The location of the team had to interest me
3. Team had to be League 2 or lower in the English pyramid
4. Had to like the team color/uniform
Probably other criteria I used as well. After researching every team fitting that basic criteria, found about 3-4 teams, but for seem reason, Weymouth seemed most interesting. Ever since, I always have at least 1 Weymouth save with Football Manager.
Naturally, playing the team in a sim, you want to learn more about the real team. Subscribed to Weymouth website/fan pages, found their broadcasts, watch their videos, get their news feed, etc.. So a very long-winded way to say I became a Weymouth fan via a soccer simulation game.
That said, this channel is GREAT, as it gives these smaller clubs exposure! It's because of this channel I have a Loch Ness FC jersey (Scotland - North Caledonian Football League). Looks better than any Premier League team jersey! Also I try to follow other lower tier teams, when possible. No specific team, just check out different league/team videos online. The Premier League may have the best talent, but the average fan is "locked out". Lower tier teams have a fan and community spirit that can't be matched.
Good to see women lineo in the game like you said they got to start somewhere
Great coverage as always. We need an alternative to EPL now more than ever.
Their shirts do resemble Rangers treble winning season of 1992/3. It doesn't have the McEwan's Lager branding their shirts though. Lol.
Amazing that your giving the lower leagues exposure they so deserve it so many people give there free time to keep these clubs alive brilliant
Please come down to Hungerford Town f.c we play in the National south, we are batting well above our status a small town of 6500. And only two leagues away from the professional league.
Scottish football summed up in a phrase "mad tackles" 🤣
A good club to go to is dunipace good set ups from youth to juniors/seniors
Hi mate would love if you could make Beith Juniors v Darvel on the 25th at Bellsdale top of the table clash!
COTM EPIC GAME
Hi, Sam! I hope you have a chance to make some videos in Ireland, too. I'm quite intrigued with football there, I'd go myself both in Ulster and in the Republic if I had time and money. Anyway, some visits to Linfield, Glentoran, Bohemian, Shelbourne, Shamrock would be gold. An sure, maybe some comparison with the gaelic games in terms of popularity, which I find pretty interesting.
Here you go mate 😁 Northern Ireland

@@FootyAdventures Thank you. Now I'll be busy for a few hours.
Can you go to the Queen of the south vs Kelly hearts next weekend
Its all about supporting your local team. nothing to do with the dark side or the old firm as they are more commonly known
Ti seguo sempre da Piacenza Italia
hey, do they still do the old firm since rangers went bankrupt and dont exist anymore? want to check out some games!
Cambuslang rangers are older than Glasgow sevco👍
Football sold its soul to SKY Sam.
The beautiful game essentially became a back street prossie as a result.
You should take in a Queen's Park game...hopefully featuring the lad you met during this one...which shows that non-league football can still be a springboard to clubs higher up the pyramid.
Sam did against Ayr United but
the vlog did not go as planned.
B.B.C Scotland was showing the game & they objected to him
going in with the camera.
Kind of sums up the backwards mentality of our clubs in
Scotland..
need to get to carluke rovers sam
I would suggest watching Johnstone burgh
Im from Cambuslang!
i live 5 mins away from there
Can u go to gasworks in Larkhall to watch a larkhall thistle game?
My Girlfriend is from
Larkhall her Dad was on
The committee at one point
of Larkhall Thistle he has passed now.
We stay in Hamilton now
I am originally from
Elderslie next to Paisley
We are going to
The Accies VS Hearts game tonight just a once off as The Accies are playing some decent we dont stay far from New Douglas Park as I still call it.
We follow Pollok & Carlisle United
MY Girlfriend's Dad was from
Pollok & when we get
The Chance we go down to
Carlisle as you get to see some different clubs play that way rather than the same clubs over & over again as tends to happen in
Scotland..
Keep Safe..
Will you be doing a video on the rise of Wrexham AFC?
Here you go mate… ruclips.net/video/bN5Tc0W6FL0/видео.html
Cheers
Know few boys from gorbals that have played for them , always had a good rep , better than the auld and new rangers anyway haha
I don't know why more people don't watch non-league football. A lot of top league stuff is just a midfield chess game with no goalmouth action and no saves and is designed for tourists who take selfies and buy shirts. There's some terrific action lower down the leagues.
Surly there’s a bricklayer in the crowd the can fix the dugout for a laugh or even a pie n bovril
💙🤜😎
Go to Carluke Rovers
What a gaff mon gers🇬🇧🇫🇮🏴
Try go se buffs in queer final Scottish cup next Sunday
If my team ceased to exist tomorrow, I'd just spend my time going to random non league games. Or as they call it. Groundhopping.
Come back to Northern Ireland and do more videos on linfeild
Jesus sack that 🤢 nasty nasty bunch.
Wosfl is class #MonTheTroon
Go to cambuslang Rangers again, they’ve got ultras

The No 9 for Cambi is a burly chap..

Always good to see the Borrheid boys losing

@AG the fact you're calling me a dummy whilst not getting the point 🤣🤣

I went to a scottish junior cup final semi final as a young 12year old split up from my brother in law when Bo'ness fans started fighting,Arthurlie fans took me under their wing and looked after me ..THANK YOU ARTHURLIE FANS..💙🤍 Falkirk supporter
